Good stuff! That “SPASH!” really had me laughing. I feel the same about water, but I did the measuring. If you keep the water at or below the top of your lower door trim you should be just fine accounting to Jeep’s official specs. Gives you an inch of buffer below their max of 21” (stock TH suspension & tires).
That’s pretty much exactly what I did. I had plans to put a blue water line decal in clear line of sight of the drivers window (front fender). Once I measured it, I realized that mark was pretty much the trim line all around. I was a little bummed cuz I thought it would have been a clever decal.
Love your videos. I may have not seen or found a video yet but what do you use for communication on the trail? Cell phone, Walkie Talkie, CB? Do you have a something mounted in your Jeep? If you do, could you show how you have it mounted? thanks and keep up the videos!!
Thank you! I use walkie talkies. I've got a set from Walmart that are midland gmrs radios. Not the highest quality but good for driving in pairs or groups.
Looked like a fun day in the woods! Can your Jeep keep up? On those trails i would sure hope so, a stock subaru would have done fine, even a Rav4. Also, please wear your seatbelts on the trails. I know its not cool and fun, but its just common sense. It doesn't matter how mundane you think the trail is, you never know. I've seen the edge of the road give out under a Jeep and send it rolling a couple times down a small hill...nobody could have guessed that was going to happen, but everyone inside had their seatbelts on so there were no injuries.
It was a great time getting out and exploring Arkansas for sure. Not sure about the stock Subaru or Rav4. My camera placement wasn't the best and I didn't video like I normally do because of being in a group but I hit skid plates several times. Not sure what the clearance is on those stock but I'm not running stock and scraped. Either way we had an great time and had an opportunity to meet some new friends.
Lol @ my two favorite Trailhawk dudes. I do think my old Crosstrek could have managed - but it wouldn't have been happy about it. Plenty of times in the Manistee National Forest did I cross a group of lifted Wranglers asking "how'd you get out here?" Either way, both ya'll Cherokees are boss. I upgraded to a 2019 Elite V6, myself. Looking forward to the lift and tires once the stocks lose their luster. These Cherokees are awesome machines that don't get enough love. Much respect to both ya'll. Thanks for the inspiration!
Handling also seemed the same to me. I've put a decent amount of weight up top and you can tell it's there but I haven't ever felt tipsy or anything. Thinking back to prelift and tires it definitely handles obstacles better. Feels solid on the trail.
You didn’t reverse the film did you? The reason I ask is when you’re in the car driving with the kids, your position is opposite of what a left hand drive car is supposed to be…

Thats what I need to do is go out and measure and give myself a place to eyeball.

@@ChuckUnderFire yeah that would have been an interesting decal for sure.
Nice video Chad. It was a hot and humid weekend, but it was a blast! Can't wait to do it again!
Thanks Tony! We really had a great time! Definitely can't wait to get together again.

I've seen fearless grenade so many diffs that confirmed for me the Cherokee simply wasn't for me. I do love watching it though.
Yeah he's definitely torn his up pretty good. They're a fun vehicle but definitely not for everyone.
Good stuff, I want to hit trails like that, that means going out of state for us
Those trails are out of state for me as well. Of course that's still less than 3 hours away lol
@@MootsKLAdventure Florida, 3 hrs away is still Florida! Lol
@@vadersoffroadadventures0316 hahaha. Yup

@@MootsKLAdventure The couple times i heard you scrape was 100% line choice, i'm still confident a rav4 would have done fine.
Ok

Do you get about the same handling after the lift?
Does The wider tire downtown balance out the extra extra height?

I just pointed the camera towards me and filmed.
FYI…. Another name for a Mountain Goat is “Capricorn”
Nice!
