- This is a 3 part video series of us installing a Rocky Road outfitter's bumper and Warn winch on a 2016 Jeep Trailhawk. The winch came with written instructions, but we searched for videos and did not find any, so we made one. We describe each step and describe obstacles we found and how we overcame them. We are not automotive technicians, just do it your selfers with gumption and plenty of tools.

Thanks for the great video mate ,your video showed the work required in easy steps ,one thing though ,is when you change the picture from colour to black and white it's not as easy to follow ,it's just a bit confusing ,to me anyway but I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed ,anyway cheers mate from down under.
We didn't do that on purpose. I'm not sure how it changed to black and white. Strange that it did. Sorry for any confusion. Must've happened during upload.
You ran into a number of snags fitting the winch in. I’d love to know what part of the winch in particular had fitment issues within the space? I looked like it was mostly the right side housing components. And maybe the freespool handle contacting the trans lines?
There were a couple issues, but nothing that couldn't be overcome. Part 1, 8:25 shows needing to cut a piece of the plastic fairing to get the cross member installed. Part 1, 12:30 we had to grind off part of a bolt that was rubbing. Part 3, 7:35 we had to cut some of the plastic bumper to access the winch handle, like you mentioned. Part 3, 8:20 we noticed the spacers were too long, leaving a gap between the metal and the plastic bumper. We cut the spacers down by 5/8" and had to also cut bolts down to match. So the only part of the system we ordered that needed modified was the spacers & corresponding bolts. The rest was plastic on the car that got modified, and should be noted in the instructions for the Trailhawk installation. Hope that helps.
which brand horn is used?
We didn't replace the horn, so it's the stock jeep horn.
I can't believe I saw you drilling upwards while you were laying down without any safety glasses on, as well as the rest of the job. C'mon Man! Seriously?
Sorry, you're right. Got too wrapped up in documenting every thing. I'm just a regular guy, trying to put something on the internet that we couldn't find anywhere.
