Brilliant video. I love the medium and long term saves, but the recent Barcelona and Arsenal rebuild saves and now this have been great to get involved in and watch.
That was great the way u kept the league position a secret whole way, loved that sort if retrospective look at it all for a change!!

I think to make the Newcastle save more interesting I'd probably go with UK nationalities only. Would make it a bit more difficult, and you could possibly find some gems in the lower leagues rather than go abroad so much. Obviously trip would be first signing, Ramsey as well for me

I like these retrospective one off videos one club one season job done . Also great idea to hide the season outcome might be a good idea for a weekly/2 weekly series see how well you can do at one club in one season without ruining the finances
Great watch as usual Kev.... Newcastle supporter trying to keep the core of present squad at the club. First season net spend of 86m! Finished 4th. Signed Grimaldo (16m) Veretout (29m) and Karsdorp (15m) from Roma & Kramaric (19m) who all had a bonkers season. Bought Trippier (5m), Zagadou (6m) and Christensen (10m) in January :))

That money is definitely fun and I also got Lodi, Sule, Bissouma and Belotti. First season finished 4th and semi final of FA Cup. Didn't do 2nd season as started my Arsenal save where I also got Belotti for under 3 million. 24 goals first season and so far 6 from 5 games in second. He is a machine and cheap

Keen to get to season 2 with my Beta save, as I have Belotti coming in on a free to be in the pool with Calvert-Lewin, Wilson and Anthony Martial (also on a February deal). Diego Costa on a loan with a optional fee from Porto as a 21 year old goalkeeper is one of my best signings along with the big Zagadou, Inacio (Sporting CP wonder kid CB), Ruben Neves and DCL. Good job on the fire sale - I struggled to boot plenty of players from the team…
Video is also great Kev. More of the same please. If you do a mini-series lasting like a week for a one season save - say with a club from each major league to see how you get on with a different challenge. Maybe starting with PSG because of the silly side they’re going to have and A) win the league and Champions league, and B) try to hold onto Mbappe if you can - or sell him for silly money and see how the replacement(s) gets on.

The way for you to show the installments bit would be to go into Transfers and show "Transfer Clauses", the installments still owed should be visible there on player by player basis.

I went derby kept them up finishing 18th then went up via the playoffs the next season with only a 10million pound spend and the 12th highest wages. If your not under 23 you don't get signed for me usually but I did get a cheeky carlos tevez at Xmas season one just cos I needed the backup

I think the one off videos would have made a nice companion piece to your longer series during the last few years. It sounds like you're planning more short 'scenario' based saves after the Barca one so maybe this year wont be as much of a problem but having the one shot videos might have made up for people drifting out of Bourne USA. I dunno how easy it would be to setup but you could have stuff maybe once a month based on real life situations, like fixing Spurs after Nuno getting sacked or whatever. Actually, that kinda sounds like what Ben was doing last year with the Chelsea and Dortmund mini saves.

I won the league first season with spending the original 200 budget. Wilson league top scorer.
First 11 was Livakovic; Dest, Sule, Adarabioyo, Bjorkan; Bentacur, Milner, Bissouma; Saint-Maximim, Zaniolo, Wilson.
New Signings as rotation: Zagadou, Tarkowski, Mousa Dembele, Dani Alves, Boga, Belotti, Mariano (Loan)
Existing players who are good enough to rotate: Lewis, S Longstaff, Willock, Almiron.
Ha ha - that was fun !! Now try spending the money after starting game save in Sept. You will not be able to spend the £200 million until jan window (like in real life) so how you perform with existing squad will be important. In my game save had to start game save bottom of the league after 4 games. If you get them up the table before jan a few players will come, if you don't they won't!!

I got Belotti for 2.4 million and he rinsed it too… 27 goals first season. Scored 4 on his first game of the second season amazing starting striker on every save.

You should try it on FM Mobile 22 - no transfer debt allowed there! + The board in your first season are incredibly harsh.. i was sacked twice for finishing in 5th and 6th place. Third time lucky i finished second!
I really hope some of those players will be harder to get in final version. Lodi, Sule, Musiala, Isak and all those guys are way too easy to get with mediocre clubs

Position wise pretty similar to what I reckon Steve Bruce would have done at Newcastle with 500 Million to spend, given the chance.

Most of the players listed wouldn't even discuss terms with me. I am not sure how everyone is able to get all of these high quality players
They will when your reputation goes up after the first couple of signings
Ryan Fraser is surprisingly good in FM22.
You can get aguero cheap good for 2 years id also recommended youssoufa moukoko play him enough becomes a 5 start player
Started it yesterday and my signings are Livakovic, Kounde, Lodi, Ceballos, Thiago.....Mendes, Santiago Munoz (permanent then send out on loan) and 2 more defender (Inacio and Mingueza) in then send back to their club for a season (I am bad at getting rid of players, Clark and Schar is very good in FM21 for me so I don't feel like selling them first, Lascelles is the captain, let him stay for last season, Fernandez "just sign new contract", impossible to sell him, he just keep on rejecting offer), also have 5 GK (Dubravka still injured so he stay for now, Woodman is better than Darlow so he staying but no one want to buy Darlow and another old GK, so they now at U23)

Ive started a Newcastle save and am trying to sign similar levels of player, but there seem to not be interested. How come he can sign them all?
How did you manage 500M? I tried to do that & the board did not allow me go over it at all. Also, alot of these prices are not the prices I could get players for.
during beta I started a new career with Newcastle. Not as a long time save, only to see whats possible with this club IF I choose to play after full release a long time save beginning with Newcastle. So I invested money money money, but not more than the given transfer budget. For sure a lot of money, but not more than the club offered me to spend. But after that my board contacted me that we have "huge problems with FFP" and at "finances" champions league got "marked red because of failing FFP". Will this go away during season so that at the end of season FFP is ok? Or HOW have you been able to spend that MUCH money with no FFP problems?

The key was the new intensive tactic and the big squad I had to rotate players.
For the 3rd season I change a little bit, improve some posicions to have 2 11 teams, same tactic and Will Start today 2 super cups (one against Liverpool the other against PSG).

Lets see what happen this season. I can also share the 352 tactic I created(3, one to controul the other more offensive and the other defensive), the tactic is very intensive só You really Need 2 11 squads to use it, but you conced just à few goals in the season and score a lot.
The fair play money is still + 400M€ and I have to pay 200M till the end of the season in this 4 players (Reece james, Onana, Jude bellingham, Ilaix moriba), all others are paid.
i tried signing the same or similar players but they don’t want to join,any tips?

I'd be quite interested to see someone on UA-cam play as Newcastle but not make any summer transfers, so it's a bit more lifelike.
I'd bet Newcastle fans are praying this year away to get to January and see what happens in the window.

i spent 200m and finished 3rd, and only got 80m next season, also got to the fa cup final but lost to Bournemouth LOL
I spent 66M€ on my first season with Newcastle (Raphinha + Rodri + Krunic) and finished 4th in the PL, Willock scored 32 goals.

i dont know if you'll see this but sign the 22 year old italian Lorenzo Lucca, hes 6 foot 7 and hes just scored 37 goals for me at Bayer Leverkusen. Beat Lewandowski and Mbappe to player of the year, only cost 8m
Some glaring mistakes there Kev, especially if your a fan of the never never. Henderson from Man Utd, £4m upfront, £30 over 3 seasons. Far better option in game than Martinez. And if you like your old Men, Higuain is available for a million

Tried to keep it relatively English core and quite a young squad. No idea how you got money for Clark and Shelvey (I just wanted them off my wage bill)! Still have decent funds to play with in January and so far played 10, won 9 and drawn 1.
Definitely wish I got a better deal for Almiron. And Renan Lodi looks like a proper good LB, I have funds to get him in January if needed :)
