COD FISHING ON THE RIVER MERSEY USING QUIVER TIP

I wanted action so i went cod fishing on the river mersey using a quiver tip. To be exact i was using 0.5g fresh water quiver tip. Cod on a quiver tip!!! not exactly designed for sea fishing on the raging river mersey. But it turned into some serious cod like fun.
as you guessed i found the cod. I had some spare rag worm left over and that really done the trick. I had the quiver tip bent in two. Had a belting session sea fishing the river Mersey and ended up with plenty of small cod (codling). Which on the quiver felt like monsters.
give it a watch and let me know your thoughts. should a quiver tip be used for cod fishing? or even sea fishing the river mersey for that matter?
