Yet another great Cadence video Alan. I'm from the Midlands Alan, a long time ago I was staying with a mate who lived in Warrington and he took me to the Mersey for a days fishing. We both had a great day catching bream and roach. Today the river looks wonderful again and I do intend to fish it again. Using my Cadence rods of course. Tight lines mate.
I joined warrington AA this season just to fish my local river and i've never considered the Mersey, but after watching this i think i may just have a sally down ther and give it a go. It looks lovely.
Having grown up on the banks of the mersey downstream and seen it at its very worst pollution wise it is amazing to see the river its becoming in this present day. Every fish i catch from this venue takes me back to a kid seeing the slicks of pollution i saw and what it is now. Cant beat drennan float fish for stickfloat fishing . Fantastic video showcasing a lovely method, well done alan and chappy :-)
N.A.A. (Northern Anglers Association) from many, many years ago, with the old NorthWestWater absolutely filled Both Northenden, sale and Warrington with loaaaads of roach, perch, skimmers, bream, dace and chub by the tanker load. Did you know that a LADY angler even more years ago, caught a massive salmon from above the weir in Northenden…over 3G lbs…but the metal round sign has long since been taken or removed, that showed this…..
Whereabouts on Mersey are you bru…NORTHENDEN is brill…32lb of roach, dace, perch and small chub only last weekend…feed caster / maggot on hook single or double…excellent fishing along that length..
Amazing! River is always unexpected

Great stuff Alan. Being a Mersey regular is exactly why I recently bought my CR10 #1 15ft!
