Great to see Chris still doing his thing!!!
Ya, that's his name. I was was pretty sure I recognized him. Especially his voice

😂😂
Great to see Chris from Overhalin again , His Passion for Cars really comes through ,
I sure hope he builds better cars than those from that show.
Yeah I thought same thing. Cool guy.
I like how Jay hits them with a question they don't prepare for. How many gallons is the tank? Lol
Not to be prepared for that, is odd.
I don't like black wheels, there is no contrast with the car.
Nice seeing Chris again, beautiful car!!
I love how Jay is just a pure car guy. He loves all cars not just the gas muscle cars but also the electric cars. Jay has electric cars from the Model T era. Electric cars aren't new to Jay.
We're so confident in our $350k builds we offer a one year warranty........😂😂 rich people are so out of touch.
I was given the unexpected pleasure of meeting this gentleman and seeing this car in the drive way of a beautiful house walking home from work in las vegas a few months ago with my lady.
As we got closer i knew this was a real gem of a car. Chris was so cool. He politely let us take a closer look. I could not believe what i was looking at. So beautiful and powerful.
Thank you Chris for being so polite to my lady and i.
Boy Chris named all the companies that build the parts for that Camaro, notice how none of those names include “Finale Speed”. I guess they just order parts and assemble them. 😅 Chris acts like his cars is the equivalent of a Ring Brothers car. They don’t even make anything in house.
"We are so confident in our quality, we offer 1 year warranty"
LOL, I guess that is a lot in that market.
No other custom car building shop offers any type of warranty.
I know right. I can't even imagine how wealthy you have to be to spend 350,000 dollars on something that's custom made and is only covered for a year
It's what Singer offers.
@@Airplanefish Not true.
@ABOlsen69666 Singer is Porsche specific upgrades. I believe you if you say they have warranty. But custom car shops building anything and everything depending on what the customer wants 99 percent of them don't offer warranty. Singer only does Porsche I think? And they may offer a warranty. It's definitely not normal for a shop putting a tube frame under a 1950s vehicle with 2023 interior, custom machine built engine block with off the shelf blowers and hand built body panels to offer a warranty
Lots of creeks and rattles. Crank up windows ? I don’t really care for this rattle trap. Stock dash ? Really what a joke
I'm a Camaro guy myself. I have a modded 95 Z28. The 69 Camaro is one of my dream cars to own. Love this carbon fiber light weight body. Can't go wrong with a LT4 GM crate motor! 👍🏾
What's keeping you from getting a 69 Camaro?
@@brs293 UMMM....Money?
@hotrodder5034 What is your budget? Do you think there are any affordable ones you could fix up?
Gen 4, 5, and 6 are more like ricer/tuner cars than actual muscle cars. Gen 5 and 6 are just retro trash.
@@brs293 to deck out a classic car like this with enhanced engine performance and a quality built interior is out of most peoples budget
Jay was quiet the whole test drive because he was building his spec in his head for sure 😂😂😂😂
Looking forward to that episode next year
That's what I was thinking.
So is he going to adonize the metal in the carbon, or paint it in a gorgeous coat of classic camaro paint. Those gears were turning
Jay's will have a modified (for visibility) carbon dash but mostly covered in alcantara with only a bit of cf exposed like trim
I can picture Jay's car now: Totally stock look with a little hint of carbon fiber
So u could this or get 800hp challenger and put $200k in the bank.
Wow, that carbon fiber mat looks great, sounds good yoo
I haven’t seen Chris Jacobs since the early episodes of Overhaulin. He hasn’t aged a bit!
Y'all need to check yer prescription sonny.
I was wondering where I knew him from.
@@pequaboy1210 same.
Really? So those who observe that he has greyer hair and less of it are unobservant?
@@BubbaSmurft yeah he's aged well.
349k? So we are talking either this or a McLaren….
This car is the definition of BADASS!! Awesome job 🙂
That's so cool! I had a 69 rally sport. Be really sweet to see them do the 60's era gto's,
Which one? That’s three different body styles...I’d like a ‘64, or a ‘69. But as for ‘67... 😒
"It's not about outlawing it..." err, yes it is. California, the UK and some of Europe are banning the sale of new normal cars from 2025-2035. It's not going to be financially viable, nor have people "embraced" EVs. Several surveys have demonstrated that 91% of people are not interested in them.
Make America 🇺🇸 V8 AGAIN
It sucks when guests show up as salesmen instead of just being car nuts
You must be living in a dream world.
Wow ! What a Beautiful car! I would Love to see a Mustang like this! Carbon fiber Blue
349,000 is much cheaper than I thought it was going to be, that's actually reasonable for what it is and to get it made in under a year is pretty awesome as well, I'd figure youd be waiting at least two years.
And to be able to do any dodge is crazy, someone needs to get like a late 80s early 90s model done just because, one of their econo boxes hahaha like a duster but with a teslas swap painted in a stock color, sleeper from hell.
that's a lot of money lmao
@@rupman27isback trust me, compared to how much some custom car builders get away with charging, this is an absolute steal.
As an Overhaulin fan, hearing Chris Jacobs voice again was very soothing.
Absolutely stunning 😍
$349k, are you kidding me? When would the average Joe ever come up with that kind of dough? Give me a break. 🧐
I'd rather have this car than the best new Camero GM produces today
Not saying much.
Wonderful car.
I wish Chris would take off his sales-speak mask for a few moments.
Interesting black leader-car SUV ahead of them with flashing lights.
Great car. Good to see Chris landed on his feet after Overhaulin'. Was expecting Jay to mention it, considering he's knocked Overhaulin' and boutique shows like it over the years, but, business first, I guess...
2:21 driver door doesn't line up properly with the hood, and generally theres uneven panel gaps across the car that's worse and more inconsistent than on a Tesla. I'm nitpicking here, and all this is custom work, but small details like that need to be perfect on a build this expensive
Plus when it was going down the road it looked like it was leaning to the passenger side quite a bit on a couple shots where it was just driving straight and on level ground.
Your eyes must be crossed
Beautiful build…but, $350K? Insane.
Yeah and it won't be drivable in ten years when the communists ban gasoline ⛽
Anytime anyone builds you a car, you're going to pay a premium price . I'd rather build my own and save $150K+ .
@@kumaquattro-le1vk All it takes is the time, money, & skill. Right? 😀
@@jeffharing It is too much for this. 340k for what they do, is just too much. I just commissioned my third restomod and while they are more, I also get something that is way past this. They should knock at least 100k off the price. The fact alone that they can do this in 6 months tells us a lot about what it is.
@@AB-80X I’m curious…. Because I’ve got a 65 Mustang that I’d like to do a complete makeover on some day. And I know it can vary quite a bit but what does it cost to have a shop create a decent restomod?
I’d love a matte ppf over it. That’d give it an ideal look IMO as far as exposed carbon
It will not have the effect you might think. It will hide the weave and it will just look like a dirty gray. If you want it matte, order matte carbon.
@@AB-80X it looked great on my last car. It obviously wasn’t full body but it didn’t hide the weave. Maybe either cheaper materials or too thick or something. Either way, either subjective or the different context.
Love the car great workmanship and Chris is the perfect sales man
When you have watched this show since the beginning….. you can tell jay was a lil annoyed by this guys arrogance
I'm with Jay. Black Steelies with dog dish caps. That is a Cool car...anyone notice the 6th gen Camaro do a flyby at 15:40? LOL
Wow! A FULL year warranty? For $350k! What a deal??🤔🤭
Is this guy not still on e! tv? I thought he was on entertainment tonight for a while too. I remember when he used to co-host overhaulin' with chip foose...man, those were the days
I couldn't remember where I knew this guy from. Now I know.
I'm sorry, but you would have to be a fool to pay 350 grand for that car.
Jay Leno is a gift to the world we don't deserve.
We aren't worthy 😂😂
I deserve it.

Suck up...😂
@@AhPhoey😂... You sir are NOT a suck up...
Great car but Tim Allen's Camaro is still better ;)
I don't get why automobile companies don't make production cars that look like an old-school, retro, vintage car but just with modern tech and components?
Because all kinda stupid safety stuff, not so much about aerodynamics it seems.
This car has no air bags (at least no side impact ones), no crush-collapsible zones, it wouldnt pass a new car crash test and therefore never be road legal. The only way to get around it is by modding a vintage car, where you dont have to pass such tests. Look at the modern Mustangs, Camaros, Chargers and Challengers - they got like 1.5 times the internal volume of the originals, because of all the safety bells and whistles they are by law required to have. And it makes sense with cars that have 2-4 times the horses under the hood.
So, you'll never see a sleek looking modern (overpowered) daily driver car like that unless its a super/hyper car where they just throw your million dollars at the problem and engineer around it so it passes those tests just barely - and even then you are looking at wider, bulkier cars than they could be.
Challenger is an example of that. Also mid 2005-2014 Mustangs we’re retros too. It’s been done.
Because the average consumer cant afford $400,000 car
Some do. But if they start making retro, then retro isn’t retro anymore. Then it’s modern.
So what his shop does is mount stuff that other companys built?
Jay is just the ultimate car guy, 72 years old and still loves to pound the gears. Been wondering what Chris has been up to.
Fun Fact : Jay Leno is getting serial number 1 GMA T.50
Where did you get that from? I've seen that list, and he was not on top.
I'd love this as a Formula Firebird or Trans Am
Be ready cuz Jay will ask hard questions
In my humble opinion the '67 - '69 camaros are some of the most beautiful bad A... looking cars in existence and this one stands out amongst them. This and a Countach, not for the driving experience but for the looks, are the two I have dreamt about since I was old enough to think a car was cool. And yes, I would keep the Countach spoiler.
Absolutely. I was born in 1980. The countach then, was the most amazing car the world had ever seen, from my point of view. I think it still looks amazing.
Did he say you can just order single carbon fiber parts? It would be nice to just put a hood or door skins on. Still expensive as all get out. But cool
I completely agree with Jay. Paint the car an original 69 Camaro color. Maybe even use the chrome process paint on the bumpers.
I don't like this guy. He talks so arrogant.
Well done,Chris! Moving on in the world. You've come a long way.
Carbon Fiber Cobra 427 ......YES PLEASE....WOW ! Shelby and others available $$$$$$$$$
Didn't know 200k was affordable
I have a 17' Camaro SS 6 speed manual. I wanna convert my whole body to carbon fiber to make it 800lbs lighter. What do I do?🤔 Carbon looks like Fish scale. I want mine painted.
Ahhh yes, Chris Jacobs. I always wondered what happened to him after Overhaulin’. I guess he decided to use his clout to start a company to make -snake oil- catalog cars at the inflated price.
Lol
Jajajajajaja you let us all know when your catalog orders come in and you have yours put together, I can’t wait for the video! 🤡😂
@@michaelmaas5544 but I don’t want a catalog car so you’re out of luck.

LMFAO $350K TORSION BAR HITTING THE EXHAUST. 😂😂😂😂
Oh man, another 250k+ custom muscle car. Seen one you seen them all.
I might be a little jaded as I build these types of cars as a living. I find them boring anymore.
Carbon fiber bodied cars have been done for almost 2 decades. Yawn.
Brought to you by finale speed. Finale speed. Watch Jay Leno watch finale speed finale speed guarantees their products. Finale speed. Come on man
I had the pleasure of meeting Chris Jacob at the Keystone Big Show, real down to earth guy. Talking about custom cars with him was a lot of fun. Hopefully I can meet Jay one day.
Panels clicking together, exhaust bumping on the torsion bars, rubber pads squeaking, instruments not visible . . . hmm. For $350K I'da hoped for a little more in the quality department. Also I have yet to see a repro carbon fiber panel that perfectly reproduces the lines on a steel panel. The lines are always a little soft or they sag or have slight waves.
For what it is, this is a gorgeous car. Love the exposed fiber, love the lightness, love the hand made aspect. If you want to be the only one in your neighborhood (or state) with a carbon fiber Camaro, this is the car for you. Me? I'll stick with something that's been built a few thousand times rather than a few dozen.
The customer comes in and says “I’ve got WAY too much money, can you help me piss some of it away”?
Jay's never cared for big sound systems in cars, and I don't blame him. That was all the rage when I was in high school in the 90's. Let's leave that crap back in the 90's. Lol
I like that Jay is bringing young people to the garage.
Chris Jacobs is 53
@@outwrite11 53 sounds young now😃
Saw this comment and was like “Chris HAS to be at least late 40s”
I think it's a cool mod with great attention to detail, BUT for that price, I'd rather have a Singer Porsche.
Add another 100k.
$350,000 and only a 1 year warranty and thats something to be proud of... Thats nuts.
I guess the person who could afford to order a car like this can easily afford repairs. The one year warranty is therefore viewed as a courtesy to the buyer.
It's a beautiful car but it's not worth anywhere close to $350K.
What's really nuts (other than the price) is you people expecting a new car warranty on what is essentially a 54 year old USED car. Just show me ONE example of anything more than 90 days, let alone a year, on a 54 year old used car. I will be waiting. You can buy a NEW car with a new car warranty for a whole lot less than $350k. Please stop cross-shopping this handmade artwork with steel bodied Kias going for $20k.
@@houseofno There is nothing used about this. Its all new, they just swap the vin from an old car to a new one
@@LerrySanders A used car is legally defined as a car that has been registered at least once to at least one buyer. I am pretty sure that a 54 year old car (or VIN number, since you're into splitting hairs) constitutes a used vehicle. The VIN number is almost always tied to the original vehicle it was assigned to. The burden of proof is on YOU to prove this vehicle or VIN has never been registered or titled. Good luck. Don't forget your scissors for those hairs you're trying to split.
Chris Jacobs will always be a goob actor, not a car guy. You can tell Jay is unimpressed. He mentioned parts hitting , the instrument cluster is blocked, no power windows on a 350k car lol
Just wanted to say we love you Jay!!!! You’re the man the myth and already a legend!!!!
This with an LS7, red paint, and polished aluminum 17" Torq Thrust wheels would be the ultimate car for me.
I beg to differ, all AMG V8s since day 1 and now have even better bottom end torque than these push rod V8s and usually alot more mid and top end power, along with an equally raucous sound.
Did he state the price tag? I lost interest in the video after 5 min. 1/2 million? Chris talks too much like a salesman. Every question responded to with more than was asked. He's not having a conversation, he's using questions as an opportunity to talk.
I wonder how many speeding tickets Jay has gotten?
It depends if he knows the cop who pulls him over. I would guess he knows a couple dozen local cops by name.
HE don't get tickets cuz he bought that sticker off the tv ad to support officers.
I wonder how many he has talked his way out of!
As I recall, he was pulled over while test driving a Corvette up in the hills. Shortly after that he had a guest car ( a cop Nova ) on the channel. That cop talked about a certain car aficionado he had dealt with up in the hills. I don’t think Jay talked his way out of that one.
None in Burbank I'm sure.
Why did Chris correct Jay on the engine? LT4 is same both on C7 Z06 and 6th Gen Camaro ZL1. And other vehicles .. come on son.
The Future is wild.. Can't wait to order a 1969 429 Boss Mustang. The fact there is so few 429 Mustangs out there and they can basically manufacture it is crazy.
I was thinking the same do a Shelby or Boss Mustang.
Oh just 349k I will take two then.
I love jay but it’s funny to me how all the “affordable” stuff he shows on the show is still 250k plus like everyone watching is millionaires
In terms of these prices, I'm poor. But I do t want always look wt poor people cars just because of that! 😅
He got a good mix of price ranges anyway, but the tendency is certainly in the upper price range. But so what? Its nice to watch nice things too...
I started to watch this episode but then that Jacobs (Bozo) guy showed up. I’ll pass this week. See you next week.
Totally cool. Menacing color. Murdered out. Carbon fiber is beautiful. Nothing like a U.S. V8. That sound. Sick. Thanks Jay.🔥🔥🔥❤❤👍😎😎
European cars don't have that sound? HA! You obviously never heard a Dacia 1300 roar.
Manual transmission is an excellent choice 👌.
Electric sucks plain and simple.
Of all the cars Jay has had on his show this is one of my favorites! Awesome Jay!
"Anodize the metal component of the carbon fiber"? WTF is he talking about?
I was hoping you were going to put it up on the lift, to give us a peek at the underside.
"$349,000...oh, that's not bad!" - Jay Leno
stunning carbon work, real art work
gaps are a little wild though...
Yes just like the original car 😂. But the overall effect is stunning.
Whats the difference between the ZL1 and Z06 LT4? I thought they shared the same engine.??
Blue carbon would look amazing too on this one. like the one in the Bugatti.
Since when could we anodize carbon fiber? Are they weaving in metals??? I thought they controlled the color with dye in the resin?
also when a car jumping like this thing leaves Jay & Chris both speechless, doesn't happen often, for a sec is always fun to watch!
At the 10:10 mark, thinking it could be the FOX platform Mustang.
I laughed about the “lead” tail lights too.
I did too. But I remember when the original FNF, Brian called N.O.S. “NOS” and all the old school hot rodders and racers started to shyt bricks...it made the scene less credible, because it wasn’t called that by anybody actually involved in the hobby at that time. Now nobody cares. (I still cringe, but you have to pick your battles). Couple years from now, it will be common...if not already.
18 gallon tank should easily provide a range of 85miles.
That is not a bad size.
No EV will ever compare - this was an awesome car and I have never owned a Camaro !
Yes the carbon fiber is impressive to look at. But this thing is comically overpriced.
What a beautiful thing!! That body in the sun is just stunning. And the sound is just a touch above grumpy, but not pure angry, lol. Love it!! 👍🏻😎👍🏻
Ahh the dude from overhauling nice to see he is on par with chip
