If I ever win the the lottery, I'm buying a Ringbrother's Car. LOVE LOVE LOVE their work. Clean looks, high quality designs and builds, and as Matt pointed out, subtle. The cars they build never lose there identity.
jay cracks me up. the things he comments about are the little things like the FLEX JOINTS on the exhaust and the fact that the tremec shifter can be adjusted lol.
I built a race style dash panel for my 81 camaro which the car isn't even done yet. I thought I had a nice dash panel. Geeze the time invested. That panel is a 10 out of 10. Mines maby a 7 or 8. Factory 81 camaro dash panel is a 2 at best. This car is amazing. Good job boys.
This is one of the nicest custom cars I've ever seen. As much as everyone dislikes different parts of it, I think it all fits together beautifully. Good work gentlemen!
I here people say that all the time, "I've never seen a real tumbleweed" but in my area of the world they are everywhere, I guess people just never notice the world around them.
jcnba28 I don't live in the desert either, but I didn't mean to direct that at you, just the people in my home town who don't notice all the tumbleweeds around here.
Not a fan of American iron? GTFO. Nickey, Mr. Norm's, Royal, Yenko and Motion actually put this to shame as they were stock save for the outrageous powertrains. Look up some of those car on YT. I will bet Jay has a few in his garage.
Back in 1979 when I was 17 I bought a 69 Z/28 and now in 2020. Well wife left 22yrs ago but I still got it and the car. Looking great. This car is cool, clean, and unique and the engine compartment exquisite
they don't really suit the car tho, they could have designed something that fit the era while being modern not JUST modern with no link to the style of the car
WOW. This one sure stirred up controversy in the comments. When are people going to grow up & understand the entire world does not revolve around their own personal tastes. I think the car is amazing. The dash & seats are impeccable. Sure, there's a few things I would've preferred done a little different, like the wheels are a bit large for my taste, but I would still take it just the way it is, regardless. And I'm willing to bet most of the critics would change their mind, if they were allowed to own it for a month. It would grow on them. Bet on it. The car is just too nice not to.
Opinions and tastes, that is what sets us all apart, otherwise we would all drive the exact same car. That's what its all about. I could drive this car for a year and I still wouldn't like the gold wheels. They don't match anything and make it look like a teenager's Subaru. Gunmetal finish on the same wheels would have been perfect. I have a 1968 RS/SS with a 6 speed and 496 BBC but not done to anywhere near the level of this car but it does give me a certain level of insight...:-)
Howabouthetruth no offense but you have bad taste, this car is terrible looking besides the amazing quality of craftmenship.... a timeless build incorperates, logic, purity, period correction, and quality. Everything the ringbrothers do is tacky, awkward or potentially ricy just like Chip Foose. Ringbrothers need to learn from Singer, Emory motorsport and of course Icon design.. Those are true outlaw designers.........
jay west Would be totally useless for me. Super slippery icy roads outside here and my family will not fit in. And bikes are nicer to ride in the summer, if I am alone.
I really like jays laid back style of critique- he dont pick things apart negatively he just uses his eyes and ears and gives his opinion on what works and what might need a little work 👍👍👍
I'm pleasantly surprised at how much this video made me smile. I love the '69 Camaro to start with, and I'm so impressed with what they did with it in so many subtle ways (like the door corners curves, the mirrors, the door handles -- subtle but really fantastic). I don't love the wheels but I don't hate them, and I think in the whole big picture the design works beautifully. And I was surprised at how much I loved the ideas in the instrument panel. The Ring Brothers do wonderful integrated designs and I was taken aback when they opened the hood, how clean it was with the panels covering the wiring and stuff, so just "enough" of the engine shows through. For some reason I was really amused about how Jay ribbed the guys for having the owner so involved and then we actually got to see the guy. Don was not quite what I expected but overall I was very entertained by this one. Thanks to Jay, the Ring Brothers, Don, and of course the production crew for making this a fun half-hour.
I've been watching this, and thinking "That doesn't look too bad, that looks pretty nice...etc..." But then I heard the sound of that engine when they accelerate, and... that has to be my absolute favorite part of the car. Nothing gets my juices flowing like the sound of a throaty, powerful V8.
You really need to see this car in person before trash talking it. Pictures/video just don't show how beautiful this car truely is. It is absolutely incredible in person. The attention to detail, the fit and finish, and quality is phenomenal. I personally love what the RingBrothers did with it. It has a factory feel, with custom touches.
That burn out at the beginning awesome. Jay, letting the owner drive their own car. Priceless. LOL, well done Jay. You are a giving person Jay. Excited for the next video.
The car looks and sounds fantastic! The sight lines are so much better than the new Camaro. The stock 69 Camaro is my favorite Production Camaro of all time. This is a fantastic build.
General Motors designers take note:This is how you bring back a classic design, not that 5 foot wide A pillar, chopped top, hacked front end you call the 2017 Camaro. You can do it I have faith in you. Dammit I should have finished design school. :D
The plastic Camaros are not ugly, just a fat interpretation of a 69. Though at nearly 4000lb this car too is obese by about a 1000lb over the original.
You gotta remember though, that crash tests dictate a large majority of what designers can do these days for a mass market automobile. I do sympathize with your comment in the sense that new car designs are seriously lacking compared to the designs of the classic era. I just assume that modern safety standards are playing a major role in why most new cars essentially look "the same".
I wish they would have gone into how they did the roof, keep the rear factory glass AND make it look seamless... It's that kinda stuff that people often miss yet is pure artistry! Bravo, Bravo Ring Brothers!!
What a beautifully executed build. Jay, you must buy a lot of donuts for the local patrolmen to get away with the test drives you do. Please keep up the great channel.
I enjoy watching the videos from Jay's garage, and it's obvious the Ring brothers know what they are doing. Overall I liked the clean look and changes, I guess what stuck out to me, that I would change, would be the wheels ( the gold I didn't care for), the interior color and seat design or shape ( I definitely didn't care for the interior color). Other than that, I liked what they did. I like the idea of making modest changes, subtle, clean, but keep the original look. Overall very sweet, these guys do quality work. Keep em rolling Jay, Thanks, John
Jay if I may suggest to have a collection of these Ring Bros cars, the time has come. Thank you for showing these, these two craftsmen have raised the bar again. I want more and thank you.
This may be the best car I've ever seen. I love the '69 Camaro, one of my all-time favourite cars, and usually I don't like classic cars modified but this one looks better than anything I've seen recently.
SEMA happens at the end of October, beginning of November. This episode was probably filmed the second week of November 2016. That is a pretty quick turn time from production to posting. When we filmed an episode for JLG it was about three months from filming to posting.
A lot people complaining about a car they will never be able to afford or have the money to restore one like it came out the factory. Beautiful CUSTOM build.
BEAUTIFUL car, but I'd be scared shitless to drive it. Every part is custom made which means a fender-bender would cost like $20k to fix and take like 3 months.
omg that interior is incredible
Gregory Perkins best thing about the car to me. That gauge cluster is greatness.
im with jay with the big wheels.i wouldnthave gone past 16-18 but then again i wouldnt have wanted 1000 horse because its never usable
Gregory Perkins tottaly agree!! jesus...gorgeous!!
that seat color tho...
Don is a great guy, he's given me amazing opportunities working for him. His car is beautiful, and it's a privilege to work in his shop.
These ring brother dudes ain't no FUCCIN joke, they killin the game rite now👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Your comment “killed” my beautiful language. A grammatical, elementary dumpster fire. Well done. 👍🏻
The Ring Brothers rebuild cars to the best spec I've ever seen.. another Beautiful Car!
Kindigit also do work on this level.
I think this is the cleanest, most tidy build I've ever seen.
That engine bay lol
If I ever win the the lottery, I'm buying a Ringbrother's Car. LOVE LOVE
LOVE their work. Clean looks, high quality designs and builds, and as
Matt pointed out, subtle. The cars they build never lose there
identity.
who would had thought that blue works with gold rims ? subaru
so true Subaru did it.. so why not...
as if it's something so unique to one manufacturer.
+JOHNJOHN 9111 but they did it correctly.
artiew87 .....right?!
First thing i thought when i saw those wheels was that i really want them for my Forester.
Ringbrothers, Singer and Brabus... i need nothing else
jay cracks me up. the things he comments about are the little things like the FLEX JOINTS on the exhaust and the fact that the tremec shifter can be adjusted lol.
That is the cleanest engine bay I will probably ever see.
That engine bay is so clean I was not expecting that
That engine bay is cleaner than my house..... WOW!!!
my god that dashboard... n that interior... what a beauty....
Emmanuel Thommy The gauge pack looks like a Swiss watch. Pretty dang cool.
That dash is beautiful.
Agree!
Yep the interior is a work of art!
I loved it and I am a 67/68 guy...thumbs up Ring Bros
a single word describes this car. Badass.
Those headlights and taillights are pimpin'.
I love every episode of Jay Leno's Garage but this is one of my favourite in a very long time. And that dash 😍😍😍
If i ever win Lotto i know who's building my car!.
Yer Supposed to say…When You Win the Lotto🤑👍
I love the look on this car. It looks like the real deal. I agree with Jay. I hate it when they over paint and over build them. 🎸📻
My favorite muscle car and what they’ve done to it makes it 10x better.
The blue and gold is beautiful.
As I'm 66 years old also, that is a beautiful Camero! Top, bottom, inside and out! Absolutely "Right On Man! Great work to the team and to you Dave!
Lol, camero?
Very elegant car for sure. Out of the mass amount of Camaro's out there, I think this is one of the few that will stand out amongst the crowd.
This is one of the nicest custom cars I've ever seen. As much as everyone dislikes different parts of it, I think it all fits together beautifully. Good work gentlemen!
That thing is a work of art..
its more art than a fucntional car
Formula Firebird : Are you implying that this is not functional?
The stock factory67- 69 body is just one that can't be improved upon.
The designers did a great job.
Ha I've never seen real life tumbleweed before, thanks Jay Leno.
I SECOUND that!! I thought that was pretty cool too! Being from Ohio where there are no tumble weeds crossing the road! Just white tail deer!! lol!
jcnba28 lol same thing happened to me a few weeks ago, almost got out to move it out of the way since I was only one at the intersection
I here people say that all the time, "I've never seen a real tumbleweed" but in my area of the world they are everywhere, I guess people just never notice the world around them.
crusherbmx ...or we don't live in the desert.
jcnba28 I don't live in the desert either, but I didn't mean to direct that at you, just the people in my home town who don't notice all the tumbleweeds around here.
I was never a fan of American cars but this thing is absolutely mind blowing . Wow what a car
Not a fan of American iron? GTFO. Nickey, Mr. Norm's, Royal, Yenko and Motion actually put this to shame as they were stock save for the outrageous powertrains. Look up some of those car on YT. I will bet Jay has a few in his garage.

That is one cleeeean engine bay.
This is what modern day muscle cars should look like. Classic muscle cars with modern touches and technology.
That's one great car the machining is exceptional the tradesmen should be proud of their work
RINGBROTHERS, A NEW APPROACH TO CLASSIC BUILD, DESIGN AND INNOVATION......IMPRESSIVE!!
What a real piece of ....Art! That interior ... my jaw is just dropped.
Rolling art, Ring Bro's are masters of their craft
In my opinion the wheels look really good in this camaro
I like the wheels themselves but not diggin the gold.
The whole thing looks really good.
they don't really suit the car tho, they could have designed something that fit the era while being modern not JUST modern with no link to the style of the car
*****
yeah completely wrong era and a square car
*****
But styling has to do with design to suit era not severing it by jumping era with designs that don't suit the car
This video must be a dream. I can't possibly be watching this beautiful car in reality.
Howabouthetruth true
Opinions and tastes, that is what sets us all apart, otherwise we would all drive the exact same car. That's what its all about. Howabouthetruth if you took the car out and got in a major accident you would just pull out the knife and do yourself in
Yeah, this was built to the tastes and specifications of a specific customer.
It looks as good from the bottom as it does from the top. Unbelievable car!
Incredible engineering, too bad not many can afford a car like that.
if everyone could then it wouldnt be special now wouldn't it?
jay west Would be totally useless for me. Super slippery icy roads outside here and my family will not fit in. And bikes are nicer to ride in the summer, if I am alone.
That car is gorgeous in every meticulous fashion.
The want is real. This Camaro is f'ing gorgeous.
Pj
OP hi
It’s stunning, between that dash and the sound (exhaust & supercharger whine) I am in love.
That's super clean I like modern texture on old cars
I really like jays laid back style of critique- he dont pick things apart negatively he just uses his eyes and ears and gives his opinion on what works and what might need a little work 👍👍👍
another Rad ride from the Ring bros....and Don.
A great example of modern hot rodding. Clean, functional and powerful. This is a masterpiece.
Why the hell are there 68 thumbs down votes? This car is right at perfection!
Ford owners who are hating life.....lol
The sound that car makes had me tearing up a bit. What a glorious machine.
such nice guys. good to see they can keep up the banter with Jay.
whether you like how it looks, when you hear it drive and see how powerful it is, that alone is awesome
My dream car! Just beautiful, love the 69.
I'm pleasantly surprised at how much this video made me smile. I love the '69 Camaro to start with, and I'm so impressed with what they did with it in so many subtle ways (like the door corners curves, the mirrors, the door handles -- subtle but really fantastic). Nicely done with the HRE wheels, Satin/brushed gold is amazing.
Man, I like this Camaro. I almost bought one of these in '69 but instead I bought a RoadRunner....BEEP BEEP!
I'm 54 years old and now I feel like a teen ager now! Thank you Jay. That was soooooo cool.
The car looks and sounds fantastic! The sight lines are so much better than the new Camaro. The stock 69 Camaro is my favorite Production Camaro of all time. This is a fantastic build.
That is perfection… the looks of the epic cars of the old days and modern technique. Love this car.
cant believe the owner never drove it before ....sad
Stunning level of detail and artistry. Genius + passion + endless work = fine art.
General Motors designers take note:This is how you bring back a classic design, not that 5 foot wide A pillar, chopped top, hacked front end you call the 2017 Camaro. You can do it I have faith in you.
Dammit I should have finished design school. :D
Yep. The new Camaros are ugly.
Col. Angus They just need to change the front end and back end and make it look less plastic.
The plastic Camaros are not ugly, just a fat interpretation of a 69.

LDN Wholesale They don't look fat just cheap

I do sympathize with your comment in the sense that new car designs are seriously lacking compared to the designs of the classic era. I just assume that modern safety standards are playing a major role in why most new cars essentially look "the same".
that's probably the best '69 Camaro I've ever seen!
Wow, very nice and restrained for a Ring Bros design. If that is a new direction for them, I like it. And that sound...
I wish they would have gone into how they did the roof, keep the rear factory glass AND make it look seamless... It's that kinda stuff that people often miss yet is pure artistry! Bravo, Bravo Ring Brothers!!
that engine bay though! awesome as always from the ring bros
I said the exact same thing when they opened it up :) I personally hate seeing wires all over the place.
+Raegal Dorn its a clean looking car, its twitchy but maybe cured if they loose the stripes
Unbelievable! Lots of details in this beauty and best part she's not a trailer queen!
What a beautifully executed build. Jay, you must buy a lot of donuts for the local patrolmen to get away with the test drives you do. Please keep up the great channel.
Hey is probably on the board for the Burbank Police Dept.
Ring Brothers NAILED it Jay! I think these guys are the Best car builders in the world!
Keep em rolling Jay, Thanks, John
john g Why should anyone care about your opinion, John? You wrote that comment as though you really are an expert who should be taken seriously.
This has to be the single most beautiful camaro I've ever seen. Absolutely amazing
People here in the comments complaining about this beast Camaro, probably take public transportation foh.
And some of us have one ourselves and know what we're talking about....:-)
Spare parts it's called preference.
This thing is the most classiest, most tasteful, and coolest restomod on this entire channel.
those wheels are two big for my taste, as well as the ground fx on the sides, other than that, it's really nice
those brakes barely fit in them
too* from your friendly neighborhood grammar Nazi.
oops, my mistake lmao
They are not two big, they are four big!
Stock Rally 15" wheels for me, I hate Hot Wheels road cars. 1" tires ride so much better. My 25 year old Caddy and truck both have their 15s on them.
Love the Ring Brothers they win all the awards for the builds they do
Nothin' like a classic custom Camaro.
the motor and the engine bay is just gorgeous
"I believe that meets the legal definition."
Jay if I may suggest to have a collection of these Ring Bros cars, the time has come. Thank you for showing these, these two craftsmen have raised the bar again. I want more and thank you.
Happy New Year Jay! Looking forward to another year of superb content. Keep livin' the dream Jay!
Jesus God. What craftsmanship. Amazingly awesome work. That build is at least a 180K-200K. It easily costs that much to build.
this car is close to 7 figures.
The owner sounds cool. Good to hear he didn't want any non-GM parts on it. I hate to see mix and match auto manufacturers parts on such a sweet ride.
azurebluemach so what, if it works!
How petty and trivial it is to hate to see a mix of manufacturers on a completely custom car. Stupid.
It's easy to binge watch Leno's vehicles.
Take off those tires and get rid of those ground effects and I'm sold. I love it.
there is no better car than this. freaking perfection
Did Homer Simpson sit in on the planning...?
This may be the best car I've ever seen. I love the '69 Camaro, one of my all-time favourite cars, and usually I don't like classic cars modified but this one looks better than anything I've seen recently.
The owner is Red Foreman.
A cool Red Forman.
From that 70's show?
What a beauty. The Ring Bros out do themselves every time. Killer machine and a work of art. Thanks Jay.
For whatever reason it seems like this episode was filmed a long time ago
Kinda does dont it. I wonder if it's because it was just uploaded, it might be rendering out still.
maybe you watched it on the website??? and they just uploaded it to youtube??
JOHNJOHN 9111 I know, it just seems like a slightly lower production quality, as in they filmed it a while back and just now uploaded
SEMA happens at the end of October, beginning of November. This episode was probably filmed the second week of November 2016. That is a pretty quick turn time from production to posting. When we filmed an episode for JLG it was about three months from filming to posting.
I think the interior is over the top . best I have seen . everything goes together so sweet
I had a 69 Z28 that I wish I still had....
Wish I still had my plain Jane model. Hey, it was a 69 Camaro.
A lot people complaining about a car they will never be able to afford or have the money to restore one like it came out the factory. Beautiful CUSTOM build.
I Finn they're clowns who barely got bus fare and mad they got to walk every day.
God dam I burst out laughing when the tumble weed appeared and I have no idea why!
The ring brothers are the best car builders in the USA.
@21:30 tumbleweed moment
What a magnificent car. It has everything a guy could hope for. My dream car!! Thank you.❤
BEAUTIFUL car, but I'd be scared shitless to drive it. Every part is custom made which means a fender-bender would cost like $20k to fix and take like 3 months.
I was thinking the same thing watching these ring brother car video's. My kids bump it with a skateboard and I would be able to sleep for a month.
Ring brothers are always so great at creating new things.
