Let's be real, this should be called Vocal Coach reacts to Blind Guardian audience live
valhalla would be the better choice...^^
VALHALLA
DELIVERANCE
WHY'VE YOU EVER FORGOTTEN ME
I was going to say the same thing 😂
Well, but that IS a regular Blind Guardian performance. You could say, the audience is the 5th Blind Guardian member. 🤷♂️
Yeah, was thinking they should have sent her a studio version or smt
A Blind Guardian show is a gathering of a fellowship.
No words have ever been so true!
So true, i´ve seen them live once on a festival about 5 or 6 years ago. Never had anything to do with them till this point. I don´t remember if it was "walhalla" or "Lord of the rings", but suddenly i found myself singing with about 1.000 other people.
Yeah it feels like home.
Ha I see what you did there.
"'tis a gathering.."
The Bard´s Song is always a good indicator how good a Blind Guardian concert was.... the less Hansi sings himself, the better the concert was :-D One of my All Time Favorite bands!
Hansi didnt say he forgot the lyrics for the bard song, because never can sing it completely?
so true
There was one i cannot find anymore that was literally one word Hansi rest audience.
Let's start a "Send Beth to Wacken" Fund for 2020. :D
Now: how to make that happen? I'm standing in line! Ready, when you are.
We have a local Radio station here: Rock Antenne Hamburg. They where sponsors. They where the 1st radio station allowed to print exclusive t-shirts about the event.
They might wanna feature songs, Beth reacted to. Whatever.
Let me know abou your thoughts. Everyone else: pls add your ideas!
(Remember the Rockin' 1000: EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE!)
ua-cam.com/video/JozAmXo2bDE/v-deo.html
Another guess: will we be able to send Rebecca there, too? RVA The both of them would make a great team, I think. Here is Becca on Devin Townsend:

It's already sold out.
It was sold out after 21 hours.... bt there are much more good metal festivals in germany or europe, like Rockharz, Gras Pop, Hellfest....
That's crazy. It was just the first festival in Europe that came to mind. I'm not familiar with most of them cause they're all different over here in the USA.
I would like to recommend "Blind Guardian - Live @ Wacken 2011 - Nightfall". It's a Song in which Hansi Kürsch uses a lot of his vocal-range :3
Agreed! Great performance.
Nightfall in Middle-Earth is such a great album
@@demoncleaner80 It totally is. One of my favourite albums of all time.
Or Mirror, Mirror from the Live album (The one just called Live, not the new one). Don't think there is video footage of the concert but probably his best ever recorded performance.
... or Thorn!
1:55
"His voice is so easy listening"
You should check out their song "Valhalla" from the same concert.
I mean, she could just check google maps, they're still singing to this day
She just cut...
GuitarGuy057 any song other than this.
XMorbidReignX I’ve got my demons and wizards tickets

Now you all know
The bards and their songs
When hours have gone by
I'll close my eyes
In a world far away
We may meet again
But now hear my song
About the dawn of the night
Let's sing the bards' song
Tomorrow will take us away
Far from home
No one will ever know our names
But the bards' songs will remain
Tomorrow will take it away
The fear of today
It will be gone
Due to our magic songs
There's only one song
Left in my mind
Tales of a brave man
Who lived far from here
Now the bard songs are over
And it's time to leave
No one should ask you for the name
Of the one
Who tells the story
Tomorrow will take us away
Far from home
No one will ever know our names
But the bards' songs will remain
Tomorrow all will be known
And you're not alone
So don't be afraid
In the dark and cold
'Cause the bards' songs will remain
They all will remain
In my thoughts and in my dreams
They're always in my mind
These songs of hobbits, dwarfs and men
And elves
Come close your eyes
You can see them too
"I feel like I'm in Robin Hood" ...She immediately gets it.
more like Hobbit in middle-earth. :P
For me its Witcher(books)
Guys, guys, it's all of them. Blind Guardian is pure Fantasy
As someone who's been in that audience singing that song, it feels absolutely amazing.
Also, you should react to more Blind Guardian. There is a reason Hansi is considered one of the best vocalists in metal.
I envy
Blind Guardian. I feel like a teenager again.
There is a song by them called "The Eldar" that always gives me chills.
Easily my favourite song by them
They do a lot of Tolkien based stuff. I love it!
Oh my god, that song
For me it's bright eyes or sacred
For me is thorn or harvester of sorrow
So glad you finally checked out Blind Guardian. Not much of Hansi's singing in this performance though.
whole nother level of appreciation if at a concert the crowd not only pais for the tickets but sings a song for the artists :D
Hansi sure is a national treasure. Seriously, I'm not a huge Blind Guardian Fan but it's one of the bands I deeply respect
Seeing Blind Guardian live is always an event and this songs gives you the biggest goosebumps ever when your're in the audience.
I've been to countless concerts over the years, but in terms of audience participation / general mood / feeling etc. this was one of the best ever. Glad and proud to have been part of it. Personal highlight, Valhalla. Audience went on and on and on and on long after the song was already finished.
This is so chilling....Hearing thousands of people singing you song must be everything for the artists. Their concerts are amazing. And yeah, Hansi is an amazing singer, you need to check out other songs at this same concert like Mirror Mirror, it's just great
This song is from the Blind Guardian Open Air in Coburg/Germany 2003, where the band recorded her live-DVD "Imaginations through looking glass". I was there with a bunch of friends, it was a great festival with an amazing crowd, had so much fun there.
In Coburg?!🤤
Yes Coburg/Germany BGS Open Air Arena 13.+14. June 2003, additional Lineup can be found here -> www.blabbermouth.net/news/blind-guardian-open-air-complete-lineup-revealed/
So happy to see Blind Guardian. One of the best bands I've seen live!
YES! Finally Blind Guardian =) Thank you so much Beth.
I love Blind Guardian *so much* but yes, this was basically a react to the audience ahahahahah. Still happy you made this video, though!
I saw Blind Guardian closing Wacken 2002. And man, let me tell you it was amazing! The whole festival was there and it is probably the best festival experience I ever had. I later saw them on Sweden Rock and when And then there was Silence, the whole 14 minutes came on I was so happy. Imaginations from the other side and Somewhere far beyond are still my favorite BG albums but I can really appreciate the change the band went thru over the years. Fun fact, Hansi never thought of being a singer, he wanted to be a guitarist. But he told in an interview that on a high school party he was screaming parts of Ian Gillan and MSG songs and André in the band liked it. And the rest is history.
Never clicked so fast! Try Blind Guardian's _The Eldar_ for a stunning vocal display of Hansi.
Seconding this heartily
He is not kidding! There is some "holy crap" delivering in that one.
Underrated song. My third favourite out of NIME.
I second the guy who seconded this
Amazing band, amazing singer, amazing song.
Bling Guardian live is an amazing experience. After 11 lives and counting I consider them the best live band I have ever seen.
I have been waiting for this for so long. Finally Blind Guardian, Hansi is such an amazing singer.
Great video Beth :)
Hi Beth.Keep up the good work. "Demons & Wizards - Fiddler on the Green"...Try this one plz. Amazing ballad. Hansi Kürsch on vocals again(Blind Guardian). No words needed !
Agreed man, its his best performance. Though have you seen their live version of The gunslinger at Wacken 2019? Check that shit out..!!
@@jonashjalmen5232 amazing performance my friend !!
goes to show how good the song is when the audience not only is able to sing it word for word, but in sync with pitch and rhythm.
You should check out "Imaginations from the Other Side" or "I'm Alive" from this same concert. They're not my personal favourite songs from Blind Guardian, but they're some of the best songs to highlight Hansi's all-around vocals.
Yeah... That album has great performances in terms of the voice changes... Here in this song... And live version with the public ... Bad idea... Even me that ive listened to this band for years and ive got all the cds until a night at the opera... Can't get the voice clearly... And ive this DVD too.

Great choice. Seeing this video always brings a tear to my eye. All of these people from different walks of life singing together like old friends. Truly beautiful.
Another good Blind Guardian audience participation song is Valhalla. "Valhalla. Deliverance. Why've you ever forgotten me" 😁
I'm surprised that wasn't the request.
The Legend says they are still singing to this day...
I am glad it was not this song.I like it but seeing to many reactions to this day. So many bands and songs to choose from but i am sure in the next few days every reaction will be like the new Slipknot song....If i was doing this kind of stuff,i will base my selection on something that got my attention(name of the band/song),not something that will put me on the loop.If someone react to Ginger,i can tell you witch song is going to be...the same one everybody react to.
I was just about to comment that, but I was just as much sure that I wouldnt need to type it My self😂👌
Love experiencing Valhalla at gigs singing along for like 10 minutes of the chorus
Singing The Bard's Song live is one of the greatest joys I've experienced.
The only band that helps the audiance to sing. I love Blind Guardian
I've seen Blind Guardian a couple of times and they've always played this and the audience always sings to it like that. It's really cool.
I love Blind Guardian. I watched them live in Valencia some years ago. I remember The Bard's song live and it was just exactly like in this video. What an epic anthem!
This brought me so many memories!! This was one of the first songs I've ever tried to play in acoustic guitar when I was starting to learn by myself
Best notification! When i saw "Blind Guardian", i clicked the fastest i could 😭🥰
My favorite band. Thank you for reaction and to whoever suggested this!
I was at that tour, not that gig though, it's always like that with that song, it's just so awesome to be there when it happens, no matter the venue. Chills everytime
Yes! I've been waiting and hoping for this one. :)
Love your Reaction to Hansi. Blind Guardian is on of my Favorite bands. Please react to Brent Smith from Shinedown. Greetings from Germany
and now michael kiske ;) (helloween - keeper of the seven keys or unisonic- march of time (live at wacken))
Or Kai Hansen! Gamma Ray - Heart of the Unicorn (Live in Seoul 2003 or or something)!
Hey! Check out my reaction to Helloween here: ua-cam.com/video/aAiXpoGUaxM/v-deo.html
Ieuw
Blind Guardian!!!! One of my favorite bands of all fome, amazing music, amazing live performances. Saw them six times already and can't wait to see them again.
Hello Beth, please do:
Avantasia - The Scarecrow (Live Flying Opera)
Scorpions - Still Loving you /Love of my Life (Live from the Acustic album)
In Flames - Take this life / Stay with Me
Dimmu Borgir - Gateways (Live)
YES PLEASE DO THE SCARECROW. Avantasia blows me away every time I hear them
Had the genuine honour and privilege to sing this a few years back with this amazing band!
They put on a fantastic show and are one of the all time greats for mine
Saw a comment somewhere that said "when the audience takes over the concert, you know the band has been immortalized"
I've seen them live, sang along, and everytime I see this I get the chills
Been to one of their gigs and this sing along is awesome great band 👍👍
The Bard's song is one of my all time favorite song! Thank you!
Please react to Phantom of the Opera - Nightwish thank you!
Please do Blind Guardian "Lord of the Rings"!
definitely this one should be next to listen by Beth.
Waited a good long while for this.
Missing this festival is one of my greatest regrets in life.
I was definitely looking forward to the day that you checked out Blind Guardian
When the entire audience sings your songs, I think that's the highest peak as a musician..
Great song from Blind Guardian!
I'm very curious about your opinion on Iced Earth - Dracula (live 2008). A great singer!
Either that or Cthulhu, if you're gonna do Iced Earth. Love their stuff.
Check out my reaction to Iced Earth here: ua-cam.com/video/7CMMLnmG15U/v-deo.html
OMG! I fricken love Blind Guardian!
Thank you very much Beth for your reaction. This concert was on the Blind Guardian Open Air 2003 in Coburg where they recorded Imaginations Through the Looking Glass Live DVD. Guardian has headlined on both day´s. Under the 15 guest bands where some prominent parts of the Metal community like Grave Digger, Rage and others. I was there too and had much fun. Have seen Guardian two weeks ago live in Gießen. Not much had changed we are now all older, the hair is shorter and clapping threw the whole concert isn´t possible any more. But the guys rock on.
I was just about to recommend this song I am so happy right now
This song is really Epic! every time gives me goosebumps!
That song gives me goosebumps in every single version.
This is music at it's finest. Not just the singer and the band showing off their skills, but every single person singing every single lyric together with the band. This is why Blind Guardian is one of the greatest bands. And their songs will remain.
I love this song, I could'nt resist to sing along
The blind guardian were invited to an audience concert. Great performance
I saw Hansi with Demons & Wizards last month in NYC. They played Welcome to Dying and Valhalla from the Guardian side of the duo, two of my favorites. It was insane. Hansi is so relaxed and the sound just comes out of him effortlessly.
We all kept singing valhalla for like 10 minutes after they walked offstage. It was incredible.
The people in the audience have listened to this song for 100000 times. Every can sing a bit after such a long time of listening. ;-)
Beth is so cute! Such a beautiful smile and much much more. I always love to listen her videos :)
Thank you for explaining vocal closure and efficiency. I struggle with that and your explanation made a lot of sense, and sometimes I would stumble upon better performance by using less breath/power/effort. Now I know there is a tual technique behind it!
I have been at BG playing The Bards Song at Wacken 2011 (? 😂) . It's amazing. Standing in that crowd and like 80k ppl singing.
Yes thanks. More Blind Guardian please
Just watching Beth’s reaction to these videos is worth the Sub to keep coming back!
Rarr....!
Sonata Arctica since you're now in that realm of music. You will love Tony and the boys Beth for real. There are tonnes of live stuff you can listen to.
Thank you so much for this. Hansi is my favorite male singer. And yes, it is fun to be there to sing along. Now you need to check out his work in Demons and Wizards. Fiddler On The Green is the one.
This is just my opinion but I think that Blind Guardian is the ultimate power-metal band ever. Their style of music and vocals sounds so incredible medival!!!
FINALLY ! love it
FUCK YES! I have loved Blind Guardian for so long and it seems like they just aren't well known enough (I mean obviously they have a lot of fans, but not enough), I'm so glad you reacted to one of their songs. (also, I love that Hans' nickname is Hansi)
bard song is like that at nearly all their gigs. its kind of amazing to behold in person tbh
hey cool, Blind Guardian are from my hometown and when I was playing in a band we had their old practice room :-D
Singing the bards song is the best part of a blind guardian gig.
For another blind guardian song, check out ninth wave. The term “epic” is really overused, but it fits that song so well
Blind Guardian's Imaginations Through The Looking Glass DVD is stunning if you want to truly hear what Hansi can do live.
Amo con todo mi corazón a Blind Guardian y esa canción es espectacular The Bard's Song ❤
One of my favorite audience participation videos is dir en grey-garden at Osaka jo hall 1999. The crowd is so powerful it literally leaves the band speachless.
Hey! Here is my reaction to Dir En Grey: ua-cam.com/video/mtEofPWLcYo/v-deo.html
Best crowd ever!
And yes, Hansi is awesome too :-)
O hell yes!!! I saw these guys many moons sgo now. Right aftrt surgery. NIGHT. OF. MY F'NG LIFE!!!
I love when you make reacts to bands i know
Beth you should do Volbeat-Last Day under the Sun. Michael Poulsen reminds me of a cross between Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley
I've seen blind guardian live too and the whole concert was just like this song, 60% audience singing alone 40% hansi singing. If I could sing like him I won't stop singing for the whole concert!
Yessssss I love hansi kurch so much
clicked with excitement when i see hansi kürsch, dissapointed when i see %90 of the song is sang by audience. also unlike 'the bard's song', blind guardian has lots of awesome songs to show hansi's vocal abilities.
yeah, more hansi please.
This song is the highlight of any Blind Guardian concert
You should most definitely listen to more Blind Guardian performances.
If you really want to hear his voice I would recommend the song "And then there was Silence" live on youtube. It's from the same live concert as this one. The song is quite long and Hansi uses his voice in a variety of ways. Come to think of it, I think I will listen to it after watching this.
Don'r know you, never followed you but it's simple. You reacted to my favorite song, so I clicked, liked and subscribed :D
Beth, I would love to hear you react to some of the new Blind Guardian album when it comes out...I've only heard bits, but it sounds AMAZING!
Hi Beth.
Wondering what you think about compression in modern music. Particularly remasters shoving everything into a 18-24dB range.
Gotta echo the sentiment, awesome to see Hansi and the crowd interaction is moving, but this particular video really does a disservice to how good his voice actually is with it being drowned out thoroughly. There's a really great performance of Twilight of the Gods their label put up that puts his range on better display.
I found out about this band because their lead singer participated in Ayreon Universe. If you haven't seen it yet, "Everybody Dies" from that production is a showcase of many singers. Would be fun to check it out.
Yes, that is Blind Guardian audience for you Beth. =)
BG show is all about the audience singing the songs all the way from first to last song.
You should check video Valhalla from the dvd "Imaginations through the looking glass"
This showed up in my recommended yesterday and I thought it was you doing a cover of it for some reason
Re: the Audience ... this was a Festival run by and for the band, after decades of career.
These people came to Germany from all the corners of the world to see this, the very definition of die hard fans ... they knew every note of every song by heart, and had lots of practise singing them.
I teared up during this song last time they played Melbourne, Australia
This performance takes you to a place you've never been to nor belong. The lyrics were so poetic and the crowd were just bloody phenomenal. Odin probably plays this song every morning, Lolol.
To the bard, I raise a pint of ale. \m/
You'd love anything about warcry live. The audience is overwhelming. And i've been there singing along.
