Regipuff felt like a straight up Greek tragedy. A being that loses its brother, desperately trying to save him from corruption, only for his revenge-hungry father to come down and force him to follow his commands as well, stuck in the role to aid the brother he failed to rescue.
I was a little skeptical about this idea at first, but the way you crafted an entire story around these mons made it all the more convincing. I especially like how Regitheus seems to also take inspiration from Frankenstein, who Mary Shelley herself dubbed "the modern Prometheus"

The cool thing about Regipuff is that the old skull resembling Charizard to the new skull resembling Dragonite also shows that Regipuff, while looking soft and gentle, is a legitimate and terrifying threat...just like how Dragonite, despite being cute, had the highest attack of gen 1, and it is, to this day, a pretty potent threat.
Plus the skull looks much angrier than actual Dragonite, imo making it scarier than the original if one dwells on the thought and details. It's a wonderful touch and contrast that fits the design intent.

I can see how each type can also relate to the time period they once represented. Regihollow showing the stone age with ghost type showing the fear and death that surrounded the first hunters Regimatter showing the ice age but with the water showing not only the melting of the ice but change around the whole earth Regiwaste representing the industrial revolution and the destructive poison made due to the invention Regipuff's dragon fairy makes sense with the middle/dark ages as not only where dragons prominent in myth but fae as well. Reginueron's electronic age requires smarts to invent the new tech, hence the psychic type And Regithesis in a sense represents the beginning, the big bang even more with fire type Really intricate sutff
Considering Zygarde is pokemon's ecosystem protector I'm curious how it'd react to the destruction Regitheus is bringing destruction to the eco system with the original three titans. Would be angered by the Humans destroying the eco system but also the one who made it. Also Rayquaza's home being the ozone layer would certainly cause it to become angered by Regitheus and what were once the original trio of titans.
I just imagine perfect zygarde just pulling up and b slapping regitheus then just straight up core enforcering regi hollow and regineuron then mega rayquaza just straight up flies straight through regi matter and regiwaste just cutt8ng them in half
One thing I would like to change about Regidrago's backstory is instead of just being left alone by humans, I'd like to think that Regidrago actually went on a rampage when it learned of what humanity had done to its siblings, so humans imprisoned it making Regidrago even more upset and mad to the point of losing its sanity, and that's when Regitheus transformed Regidrago into Regipuff to quell its wrath by adding the peaceful fairy-type into it.
My own takes on this were my own takes on the standard "dead regis", which were named after ages that either came about from, ended in, or were marked by massive apocalyptic crises. They are Regissance: the Renaissance, dark and poison type. It is, in effect, a congealed mountain of human and pokemon skeletons dressed in stereotypical Renaissance clothing, armed with weapons made out of bones. It would be encountered in something that resembles the Sedleč Ossuary. Regivolution: the crisis of the third century, dark and fighting type, a twisted panoply of Roman and other such contemporary banners and standards warped into a humanoid figure that's flowing banners for skin depicts abominable parodies of all parties involved. Encountered at the point where in the real world, the borders of Poland, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic converge. Regiraider: migration period, dark and water type. A humanoid amalgamation of various shipwrecks, with devilish wings made of sails and a tail made of ropes. Found sealed away underneath what in the real world would be the Gdansk shipyard.
I'd kind of expect a Regi named "Regissance" to have some rebirth themes, considering, y'know, the translation of the word "Renaissance" is, I tihnk resurrection? So. Y'know, Maybe switch that Dark for Ghost type.
When you showed Regigigas and Regitheus on the same screen (10:47), I couldn't help but think of the duality between Te Fiti and Te Ka in Moana. (My younger siblings watch too much Disney...)
Since Regigigas has a signature move, I think Regitheus should get the same. And tying into the whole "punishing of humanity" angle, I've got an idea that will put that into gameplay. "Last Chance" - A fire-type status move. 1 PP. If Regitheus is attacked during the turn Last Chance is used, Rising Anger's 3 turn time limit is instantly up, causing Regitheus' stats to rise. If it's used after that time limit is up, Regitheus' stats all rise a single stage if attacked, again. However, if Regitheus is not attacked, it's rage is temporarily quelled, either resetting or restarting Rising Anger's three-turn debuff. Oh, and if the trainer gets cheeky and tries to attack their own Regitheus with a double/triple battle partner, Regitheus will become disobedient and start attacking it's partners.
Cool idea, man! But, the whole ultimatum shtick would also be heightened by physical threat (say, base power 65-ish, flat-out ignores resistances), wouldn't it?
How about this? "Boiling point", fire contact move, 60 base power, 95% accuracy, negative priority: If Regitheus hits an oponent or gets hit before missing Rising anger´s timer gets reduced by 1 turn; If the oponent switches out or Regitheus kills, Rising anger´s timer immediatly reaches 0 and doubles the omni-boost; If regitheus misses or the oponent protects, Rising anger´s timer resets by 1. When Rising anger´s timer ends, this move turns into "Scorching strke"(name is up for debate. "Scorching Strike", 110 Bp, 95% accuracy, 20% burn chance.
Don't know why but regipuff actually made me feel uncomfortable like the other regis were sad and heartbreaking but the way you described what happened just gives me body horror vibes
I can think of two reasons for this. 1. It a reminiscent of a person being turned into or trapped in a doll, ala Coraline. Secondly it's like Regidrago had a forced lobotomy, given the sudden change in goals and personality.
For Regimatter, the ability (or hidden ability) should be precipitation, which makes the pokemon immune to flying types and boosting water type moves next turn. This makes sense because Co2 turns into rain in real life.
I love the story you came up with for each regi. Each one tying into the other, and the connecting thread to them all is Regitheus. He was the creator of the Regi, so why not use them to teach the masters of lesser Pokemon a lesson by twisting these titans they have manipulated against them? And I love the little jab at how modern media has twisted these powerful, fear-inducing creatures into something not to be feared, but loved and friendly towards. Hopefully in a story featuring these Regis there IS a group who is against all that is happening, but their voices are too small to break the barrier the corrupted eleci has made. So to do so, they have to defeat each of the Regis from the one you first showed us all the way to the angered Regigigas. 6 bosses, 1 goal!
@@superiorrule34 if we're to go the new Regigigas route, then a Normal-Grass-Type Regigigas makes sense. Plants are said to cure supernatural and toxic properties, and plants absorb water. Along with a special power this Regigigas can have for plot, boom! The first 3 Regis are fixed!

I do need to also mention that after thinking on this plants also have an influence over the mind and fairy power as well. Medicine come from plants, and fairies also rely on plants for all their known depictions. So eleci and draco can be cured now!
I like this idea a lot and I have an idea to expand on it, an encounter with a new regi, one representing the prehistoric age ( as a symbolic fresh start right from the beginning) and is highly feral and protective, yet kind and generous to those it deems part of it's "territory" where ever it may be. Maybe a ground fighting type with six legs made up of a titanic slab of sediment with lush vegetation on its back along with 2 large tusks for ramming.

Absolutely my favorite designs/lore. The Regis while always "just around" in the games I feel offer so much more to the lore. 100% would play this region
Swords of Justice (Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion, Keldeo) of every type and Nature Spirits (Tornadus, Thundurus, Landorus, Enamorus) of every type would be neat.

My personal favorite was Regimatter , super cool design kinda looks like a mecha and the concept is perfect but I must say that Regipuff would definitely have an effect on me with all that mind control conspiracy, it's so so cute
I can imagine these regis coming from an alternate reality in which Arceus, tired of humans, began to change the duty of the legendary Pokémon or simply corrupted them with himself to exterminate humans. I would love to see more Legendary Pokémon like this regis, like imagine, you as a species fucked up so bad that god himself starts planning in how to destroy your kind

I would see viable fusions of Regis, they could show the patterns of their faces fused as we saw in Galar with the Eleki-Dargo temple, and it would make sense since they are golems
I feel like this would be perfect for a sequel to Violet specifically. I can see these new Regis sent to modern day with the goal of stopping humans from turning the world into what it is in their time. The story becomes capturing the Regis of modern day with the goal of also stopping the future with other methods. It involves changing the roles of the Regis to be able to counteract human activities in a more constructive, non violent manner.
After watching this video, i have a new idea: what would these pokemon look like if they were restored/ cured of what humanity had done to them? Like regihollow being able to get enough rocks for a full body again, regimatter being able to fully freeze again, etc?
I wonder what some of the other fanmade Regis would become in this corrupted world. Maybe some are resistant to it, like Poison and Ghost, and are trying to quell Regitheus's rage.

1:40 There is a pokemon fan game called Pokemon Clover where the original regitrio received so much damage they're barely functional. All of them have a secondary ghost type implying that they're likely dead
Here's an idea for you, man. Extra evolutions for Various Kanto pokemon. An extra evo for the starters (perhaps at like level 60 at various places in the map), a 3rd stage for the rattata line, a 4th in the dratini line, all sorts of them. That or just 4th stages for starters. It's really just up to you

Regipuff's concept is pretty awesome, kind of like a neutering and merchandising of a once feared mythical creature to also likely have it survive in a changing world, though its still kind of dark considering sexual and cutesy themes being forced on it. Its actually a theme with monsters I wish is brought up more in franchises, we basically did so with some animals when they are domesticated, they aren't always as invasive but they do always have some sort of consequence to their pact with humans. Granted I myself draw furry art but weh. Man I wonder if Monster Hunter can do something like that...

First, I would like to say the idea of dual-type Regis never crossed my mind until now, so thanks for introducing an awesome new concept for me to speculate on. Always great to have a new doorway opened in my imagination. I particularly like the concept of taking one Regi and combining it with another Regi, similar with Regimatter's form of existence. Second, if you are open to requests, I would like to see your take on a "Diancie of every type." For some reason it has always been something of a personal head cannon of mine that Diancie is just a Carbink that somehow evolved by holding a Fairy Gem. That has led me to wonder what kind of Diancie would result from a Carbink evolving while holding one of the other Gem types. What would a Rock/Fire Diancie look like? If being part fairy made its gem look like a pink flower, then would being part fire make its gem look like a red sun? If being part Fairy made it Mega Evolve to appear as if wearing a wedding dress, then would being part Fire Mega Evolve it to have a red Cheongsam? Copy and paste for the rest of the types and it makes for many possible rock combinations. So, yeah, just curious what you think such Diancies would turn out to be.

Brandon I have an idea you could do with the Regis is a corrupted or even ruined Regi of every type or at least the ones we do have. Some spinoff games have already done this such as the dead Regi trio and the ones from pokemon insurgent. For example Regiice could be melted or semi melted, Registeel could also be melted or rusted. Even Regigiges wouldn't be spared, seeing it's children being turned into these forms could cause it to transform in despair and grief. I don't know if I spelled the names right.
I feel like for regihollow, it would be x10 cooler if its ability related to its crystals, which lock its victims souls, maybe every time you take down a foe, you get HP? or a boost in a specific stat?

this is such a unique idea to give all the regis these corrupt, dual typed evolutions, but these are incredible. As someone who does like feminine Pokemon, I'm not too big on Regipuff, but all the other designs and concepts are fantastic and I'd love to see a fan game incorporate these Pokemon into it's story
Regihollow really proves that fan creations are better than what is created in pokemon currently. It typifies everything I want in a Pokemon. Strong lore, great theme and leans into its ascetics. It's powerful and would be a valid boss monster I can only hope to catch if even survive against. I miss pokemon like this.

I'd kind of expect a Regi named "Regissance" to have some rebirth themes, considering, y'know, the translation of the word "Renaissance" is, I tihnk resurrection? So. Y'know, Maybe switch that Dark for Ghost type.

When you showed Regigigas and Regitheus on the same screen (10:47), I couldn't help but think of the duality between Te Fiti and Te Ka in Moana. (My younger siblings watch too much Disney...)

Since Regigigas has a signature move, I think Regitheus should get the same. And tying into the whole "punishing of humanity" angle, I've got an idea that will put that into gameplay.
"Last Chance" - A fire-type status move. 1 PP. If Regitheus is attacked during the turn Last Chance is used, Rising Anger's 3 turn time limit is instantly up, causing Regitheus' stats to rise. If it's used after that time limit is up, Regitheus' stats all rise a single stage if attacked, again. However, if Regitheus is not attacked, it's rage is temporarily quelled, either resetting or restarting Rising Anger's three-turn debuff.
Oh, and if the trainer gets cheeky and tries to attack their own Regitheus with a double/triple battle partner, Regitheus will become disobedient and start attacking it's partners.
Cool idea, man! But, the whole ultimatum shtick would also be heightened by physical threat (say, base power 65-ish, flat-out ignores resistances), wouldn't it?
The one who wanted to use weakness policy gimmick in doubles if regitheus existed:
Regitheus: so, you have chosen death
One could then use Regitheus in doubles 6v6 to get the second most powerful Houndstone Last Respects or the second strongest Kingambit.
How about this?
"Boiling point", fire contact move, 60 base power, 95% accuracy, negative priority: If Regitheus hits an oponent or gets hit before missing Rising anger´s timer gets reduced by 1 turn; If the oponent switches out or Regitheus kills, Rising anger´s timer immediatly reaches 0 and doubles the omni-boost; If regitheus misses or the oponent protects, Rising anger´s timer resets by 1. When Rising anger´s timer ends, this move turns into "Scorching strke"(name is up for debate.
"Scorching Strike", 110 Bp, 95% accuracy, 20% burn chance.
Don't know why but regipuff actually made me feel uncomfortable like the other regis were sad and heartbreaking but the way you described what happened just gives me body horror vibes

For Regimatter, the ability (or hidden ability) should be precipitation, which makes the pokemon immune to flying types and boosting water type moves next turn. This makes sense because Co2 turns into rain in real life.

I love the story you came up with for each regi. Each one tying into the other, and the connecting thread to them all is Regitheus. He was the creator of the Regi, so why not use them to teach the masters of lesser Pokemon a lesson by twisting these titans they have manipulated against them? And I love the little jab at how modern media has twisted these powerful, fear-inducing creatures into something not to be feared, but loved and friendly towards.
Hopefully in a story featuring these Regis there IS a group who is against all that is happening, but their voices are too small to break the barrier the corrupted eleci has made. So to do so, they have to defeat each of the Regis from the one you first showed us all the way to the angered Regigigas. 6 bosses, 1 goal!
I want to add a way to fix the Regis using a machine or even better somehow making another regigiags.
@@superiorrule34 if we're to go the new Regigigas route, then a Normal-Grass-Type Regigigas makes sense. Plants are said to cure supernatural and toxic properties, and plants absorb water. Along with a special power this Regigigas can have for plot, boom! The first 3 Regis are fixed!

I do need to also mention that after thinking on this plants also have an influence over the mind and fairy power as well. Medicine come from plants, and fairies also rely on plants for all their known depictions. So eleci and draco can be cured now!
I like this idea a lot and I have an idea to expand on it, an encounter with a new regi, one representing the prehistoric age ( as a symbolic fresh start right from the beginning) and is highly feral and protective, yet kind and generous to those it deems part of it's "territory" where ever it may be. Maybe a ground fighting type with six legs made up of a titanic slab of sediment with lush vegetation on its back along with 2 large tusks for ramming.

I feel like this would be perfect for a sequel to Violet specifically. I can see these new Regis sent to modern day with the goal of stopping humans from turning the world into what it is in their time. The story becomes capturing the Regis of modern day with the goal of also stopping the future with other methods. It involves changing the roles of the Regis to be able to counteract human activities in a more constructive, non violent manner.
After watching this video, i have a new idea: what would these pokemon look like if they were restored/ cured of what humanity had done to them? Like regihollow being able to get enough rocks for a full body again, regimatter being able to fully freeze again, etc?

1:40 There is a pokemon fan game called Pokemon Clover where the original regitrio received so much damage they're barely functional. All of them have a secondary ghost type implying that they're likely dead
Here's an idea for you, man. Extra evolutions for Various Kanto pokemon. An extra evo for the starters (perhaps at like level 60 at various places in the map), a 3rd stage for the rattata line, a 4th in the dratini line, all sorts of them.
That or just 4th stages for starters. It's really just up to you

Regipuff's concept is pretty awesome, kind of like a neutering and merchandising of a once feared mythical creature to also likely have it survive in a changing world, though its still kind of dark considering sexual and cutesy themes being forced on it.
Its actually a theme with monsters I wish is brought up more in franchises, we basically did so with some animals when they are domesticated, they aren't always as invasive but they do always have some sort of consequence to their pact with humans.
Granted I myself draw furry art but weh.

First, I would like to say the idea of dual-type Regis never crossed my mind until now, so thanks for introducing an awesome new concept for me to speculate on. Always great to have a new doorway opened in my imagination. I particularly like the concept of taking one Regi and combining it with another Regi, similar with Regimatter's form of existence.
Second, if you are open to requests, I would like to see your take on a "Diancie of every type." For some reason it has always been something of a personal head cannon of mine that Diancie is just a Carbink that somehow evolved by holding a Fairy Gem. That has led me to wonder what kind of Diancie would result from a Carbink evolving while holding one of the other Gem types. What would a Rock/Fire Diancie look like? If being part fairy made its gem look like a pink flower, then would being part fire make its gem look like a red sun? If being part Fairy made it Mega Evolve to appear as if wearing a wedding dress, then would being part Fire Mega Evolve it to have a red Cheongsam? Copy and paste for the rest of the types and it makes for many possible rock combinations.
So, yeah, just curious what you think such Diancies would turn out to be.

Brandon I have an idea you could do with the Regis is a corrupted or even ruined Regi of every type or at least the ones we do have. Some spinoff games have already done this such as the dead Regi trio and the ones from pokemon insurgent. For example Regiice could be melted or semi melted, Registeel could also be melted or rusted. Even Regigiges wouldn't be spared, seeing it's children being turned into these forms could cause it to transform in despair and grief. I don't know if I spelled the names right.
I feel like for regihollow, it would be x10 cooler if its ability related to its crystals, which lock its victims souls, maybe every time you take down a foe, you get HP? or a boost in a specific stat?

As someone who does like feminine Pokemon, I'm not too big on Regipuff, but all the other designs and concepts are fantastic and I'd love to see a fan game incorporate these Pokemon into it's story

Regihollow really proves that fan creations are better than what is created in pokemon currently. It typifies everything I want in a Pokemon. Strong lore, great theme and leans into its ascetics. It's powerful and would be a valid boss monster I can only hope to catch if even survive against.
