I noticed the same- I'm definitely wondering where they're going with him. Given we don't have much on him yet in Rebirth, might need to bundle him in with Vincent for a video sometime :-)
Oh yeah. I honestly think almost everyone feels pretty faithful. It's what makes cid stand out a lot in comparison. I like him but he feels... out of place at the moment
Cid has to be on the list too. My wife and I noticed significant changes were made on his character too.

@Foxnanigans Vincent might be a good contrast since he seems pretty faithful to the original.
