I I’ll like the first three. Little disappointed with the third one’s inside art. First one is Jack and Will crossing swords. Second one is Jack, Will, and Norington crossing swords. Was expecting the third one to be Jack and Jones crossing swords. Not telescopes. :/
I picked up this set recently in the UK when it was on sale. I suspect that due to Disney’s general repulsion for physical media this will be the first and last 4K editions of these movies we will ever see. I just want to give a warning to anyone who might be thinking about picking this up, the enclosed UK standard Blu-ray for the first film is the version with the incorrect framing. This issue is due to the original film being filmed in an open matte format then converted to 2.39:1. The initial Blu-ray release was created from a master that did not have the correct framing resulting in several scenes where actors have their heads or tops of their heads cut off etc. Although this was initially corrected; all subsequent releases here in the UK appear to still be from the faulty master. This unfortunately includes the disc in this set. I already had a ‘correct’ version of the disc so I was able to swap out the faulty one, but if you buy this set thinking you will skip the awful 4K transfer of the original film and watch the standard Blu-ray instead just beware that this set does not give you a good version of the original film on 4K or Blu-ray.
I really hope Sony tackles with the new distribution with Disney is this whole series. It would be a slam dunk if they received proper transfers and Dolby Vision grading.
