The nuke scene is amazing though lol. I like to think the holy grail, while not making him immortal because he crossed the seal, gave him a strength buff maybe lol. Say what you want about the nuke scene but it’s at least iconic and memorable
And you would probably do the same thing to The upcoming (Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny) as well im sure, even though it hasn't even come out yet.
@@truecrimescotsman That's probably for the best to be honest, I will still go see it anyway just because I'm a Completionist and to just get as much out of it as I can because I figure it's not going to be very good anyway.
I like the movie and think it’s a solid film in the franchise. I think the ancient alien idea is really cool and fits with the 1950s Cold War nuclear age era pretty well. I also like the idea that the Russians were interested in the skull because of their supposed interest in physic warfare in the same way that the Germans were supposedly interested in ancient archeology. The mix of 1930s adventure serials and 1950s sci-fi B movies maybe didn’t work for you and that’s fair, but I really thought it was unique and original. I do appreciate what George Lucas was doing with this movie and you can tell (maybe I can at least lol) some of the 50s movies he and Spielberg were paying homage to were movies they enjoyed growing up with. George did say at one point that he wouldn’t mind if Indy 4 was called “Indiana Jones and the Attack of the Killer Ants” after all lol. Anyway I do like the movie, it’s still my 4th favorite of the franchise but I actually quite like the movie a lot and always have fun watching it whenever I rewatch the franchise.
