UPDATE: After experiencing my own frustration with all of the options, I made my own. Presto Player prestoplayer.com
What can I use for Woocommerce product page video?
Will it restrict, even logged in user, to download video? I am using tutor lms.
Good day sir. Does Publitio video have the HSL encryption sir?
hey, so Presto Player is a plugin, but we'll still need a service to host our videos, right? (sorry I'm just a beginner...)
You are the best. I’m building a dog training online course. I cannot thank you enough. If you ever need dog training. I would give you the course for all of you amazing help. I learned about learning dash from you. You have a gift in teaching... thanks
Mark
Been researching for a long time. This video is just amazing !!! thanks God bless you .
thank you! Saved me a lot of time and headache in my ongoing search for a video host!
Great stuff Adam thank you, really appreciate your research and willingness to share.
This was fantastic! I'm looking to add drum lessons to my site and I'll need both videos and pdf files so publitio seems ideal. Also love the one time and not monthly payments. Thanks!
Excellent comparison - thanks and once again we all appreciate your practical and hands on comment approach.
Thanks John. Just wanted to present the information and let people make the best choice for them. We have lots of options out there.
Thank you for the great video, Adam! I note that the tutorial is addressed mainly to video-bloggers and online tutors. However, if I will host a large quantity of videos on my website (say, at least, 1000 with an average size of 5 min) with the objective to grow the pool of my viewers, say to 10000 or more, what would be the best solution? I would like to control how the videos are organised, who can download them and the use of ads. Based on your comparison, it seems that some options, like UA-cam, Vimeo, or Vooplayer, would not work. Would Wistia be the best solution? Also, based on your experience, any idea how much bandwidth I might need to ensure the smooth streaming? Many thanks!!!
I hate WordPress and stopped using it a few years ago but I love your videos! You're a telented video creator and teacher 🤓 Thank you 🤜🤛
great work you are doing. I am developing a website for a football coach with training material and you all tutorials are a great help. Thanks
This has been hugely helpful; thank you so much.
Thank you for this video not sure what one would be best for me hair classes I think I like the Pubalito one but I might of missed it but can it be used for classes that student need to pay for
Thank you so much for this video, it's literally giving a lot of information i needed it's gold
amazing content! full of useful info! thank you!
Thank you for all your hard works to give us great tips and information, I really appreciate your content !
Very interesting. Would Publitio be a good solution for hosting videos on behalf of a client? For example, load it up on my Publitio account but provide an embed/link that the client can use on their website? It looks like that domain security is tailor made for this situation.
You saved me days of research. Thank you
Thank you. Publitio has the HLS video encryption now but they increased their pricing.
Curious as to what you decided to go with and if VooPlayer (now spotlightr) has fixed the issue you were having with it?
Good video, nice to watch a fair and objective review video.
Great video! What would you recommend to host a live course where people would sign up from your domain?
Hi Adam, the Publitio plan was a early adopter limited time offer that is no longer available. Now, after the free plan, the next plan is $29/mo. It certainly was too good to be true to last. I'm going for Vimeo. Thanks for the tips.
Thank you for the great video, Adam! Do you know how much "turbo bandwidth" they have with the lifetime pro plan?
Actually I'm not sure about that. I know the plan that I've been paying for for the last five years includes 200 GB of turbo bandwidth.
Hey, man thank's for showing those options. So if I get this right publitio will be loading kinda much faster than others? I'm saying this because here in Brazil 4g connections and also wifi is not that good in most cities... Thanks again for the video, very nice content.
Hey Adam, which video hosted you use now? You change from Voo to Publito?
Awesome video ! and I subscribed.. By the way what platform was you using in this one.
Great video. Would LearnDash fully integrates with Publitio?
Very helpful video. Was debating between Vimeo Pro and now leaning Publitio. However, Office 365 gives me 1TB of cloud space. Can't I just embed OneDrive video files on WordPress?
Nicely explained. Thank you!
Nicely nuanced presentation. Thanks.
Thanks Pau!
Vidello is a good option. Probably one of the better looking players as well.
Great.. Video . I m from India
Really helpful. Thank you
I’d really love to hear about the way all of these options integrate with an existing shopping cart, or do you have to shoes some ing like PayPal and/or Stripe only?
Nice job, thank you.
Have you had any experience with SproutVideo? The offer is very attractive and in my testing it has been much more reliable(and more secure) than VooPlayer and Vimeo, but I can hardly find opinions about it. Thanks!
pou bou li to ? AHHAAHHHAHAHAHAH that was your best one Adam
Yeah I should have made sure I knew how to pronounce it.
Thanks for the video information
You're a life saver
Great video, thanks
Hi Adam, which one of them that allows external uploader that we can put on our WP site? I'm talking about creating an online course marketplace with LearnDash, and others can sign up and create their own courses. So when they click "upload" from their frontend dashboard, they basically uploading to this video hosting (not embedding from youtube, not from WP native media library). Or, how is the flow should be?
Thank you very much for the Video, it helped a lot
Just wondering if you continued to test with pubilitio and how that went for you?
amazing .........Sir
Great video.
Very helpful ❤
Adam, I love you! I think you solved my problem. I have one question though: is it possible to host my videos on publitio (more GB for less $$) but play them in the vooplayer (because they would be encrypted then and viewers can change the speed)? So could I get both and combine the best features of both?
Never mind, I read the other comments and found an answer! Woohoo!
Hello! Does Publitio offer subtitles/closed captioning embedding? I'm not seeing any mention of it on their site. I did see VooPlayer has it in your video, but the buffering and customer service issues give me pause. Thank you!
Thanks for the video
Thanks you so much for Your good, helpful video :)
Ok so if I don't care about people potentially downloading my stuff with extensions, then what is the best? My take away is that it sounds like the best would be... Publitio? If you don't care about others downloading your video, then what about a work-around to make UA-cam LESS tacky? I can control what videos get recommended on the end screen, and then maybe there's a good plugin that makes it so people watch the UA-cam video FROM the site, not having the option to go UA-cam where they are bound to be distracted by all the other eye-candy... Thoughts!?
Great video-yet again!-Adam. Question... did you settle on using Publitio? Or did you go back to vooPlayer? Or something else now...? Curious!
Oh. At the bottom of that page ()see link in previous comment) it says "These videos cannot be encrypted " under the heading "Limits of hosting videos externally".
Just a quick question, Adam. I've bought Learndash through your site, and are using Vooplayer for video storage. In this video you mention, that the Vooplayer Startup package can hold many many videos in the 25 GB storage option. But what videoformat are you usually using when creating Leanrdash video's ?
If I use the recommendations from Learndash 1920X1080 60fps, 10 minuts of video is about 1.6 GB storage. And that's not that many videos (15 videos aprox.).
Which formats do you recommend, and which are you using yourself ?
Hi Henrik. Have you seen a tool called 'Handbrake' ? I just watched a video on youtube where a guy compressed a large video file to 25% of it's original size using Handbrake, he said it was without any loss. I'm not sure what Adam thinks about this, I need to research it more myself, but it might be worth checking out. Cheers
@@ankyspon1701 I use Handbrake to compress my videos. It really works.
How do you feel about Loom for hosting videos?
Thanks for the great video but i think you should check the jw player video hosting it is a very good video hosting with encryption and very affordable 👌
hello. does learndash already include video hosting? thank you
Adam, you mention using Publito with the Gutenburg block...can you place a video in a basic Beaver Builder or Elementor design? I wouldn't be using it in online courses. Thanks.
Good question. I personally wouldn't know but if it works with Gutenberg blocks I could only assume it would for Beaver Builder / Elementor. But I reserve the right to be wrong.
Oh how I wish Gutenberg blocks worked in page builders. So yeah, let me check .Okay so there is an embed option that you can use in the HTML element in either of those page builders.
Do you have any updates on your experience with Pubilito? Is VooPlayer still the best or has your ranking changed now in 2021?
dude it's PUBLITIO (POO-BLE-SHE-OH), not pubulito.
Other than that, thanks for sharing this video, it rules!
Thanks for a great video!
One question (please keep in mind I'm a total newbie). Some of these options are really expensive. Wouldnt it be cheaper to upgrade your hosting (maybe to Vps) and then self host your videos?
@Ar. Sourav D You can Use backblaze it is much cheaper and pay as you go I can help in setup if you want
You can Use backblaze it is much cheaper and pay as you go I can help in setup if you want
Great video Adam! I tried VP. Never worked for me. Switched to Vimeo. Works great... but... do you know if we host at Vimeo/Pubilito and run through VP, can we get best of both worlds (speed/storage at Vimeo/Pubilito and customization/security with VP)?
To add a little more thoughts: I believe to run Vimeo>VP you have to allow total access in Vimeo privacy settings. That seems to suggest no security at all. Thoughts?
Which option is best if your students are in low bandwidth areas or using mobile connections?
I really see no point in worrying about whether a video can be encrypted / protected. If someone really wants to get it, they'll find a way. They could just use software to record their screen for example.
Hi, were you able to zero down on which player is better? Has VooPlayer got better in past 9 months? I need a solution where the videos can't be downloaded even thru web plug-ins.
Will Vimeo accommodate interactive videos made with Camtasia? What about VooPlayer? Since watching some of your other videos, I am NOW leaning toward LearnDash as opposed to LifterLMS. Great video, thanks!
You would have to use the video hosting from Camtasia if you want them to be interactive.
Howe is this video thumbnail style working for you Adam? Is it an experiment or just saving on resources / time?
This one was because I was lazy. The last one was intentional.
Hey Adam, cool video; I am intrigued that I could not make Publitio work with vooplayer...please make a video on this. thanks!
I’ll take a crack at it tomorrow.
Try this one
publit.io/community/blog/how-to-use-voo-player-with-publitio
can we still use Amazon s3 with your plugin? Had not heard of BunnyNet till just now, all my stuff is on S3
Does Pubulito has the progression feature ?
Your videos are very nice sir. Please how can I record with my microphone to get this kind of good sound, crystal hd nice sound. please help me if you know.
Which is the best hosting video for applications like Tik tok Like some videos went smooth Play ..
Please Reply sir....
Thank you.
You're welcome, thanks for watching.
Thank you
What do you think about videopress.com, it’s the official video hosting solution from WordPress itself. Great video as usual.
I looked into it but there's no way to secure your videos.
Hi ..Thanks for such a informative nice video .. I am looking for a video storage solution for wordpress based Online course and my questions are - 1) if Upto 100 students are logged on simultaneously and accessing same video, which solution will be the best so as to give seamless access to all 100 students ? 2) Same question if 1000 students are logged on simultaneously? (3) If All my students are from INDIA (in ASIA), Which server Location will be best for seamless access to 1000 students and which service would provide me that ? Thanks a lot in advance !!
I have done some research about VooPlayer lifetime offer. It seems it's useless. For $69 they offer a tiny amount of storage - 5 Gb. To have storage similar to their startup plan (25 Gb), you have to pay $345.
However, it's not the most prominent issue. Adam said there are many complains about buffering. And I probably know why. Lifetime offer suggests that you use only regular bandwidth (zero Turbo Bandwidth).
They explain the difference between regular and turbo bandwidth here: "When using Regular Bandwidth your videos are served from our data center in New York City. When using Turbo Bandwidth, your videos are served from any one of 200 locations across the globe, so this... is much faster."
It means that your customer will have to get video only from New York. It's going to be very slow, and your customer will have these buffering issues. So, even if you pay $345 to get sufficient amount of storage, you will have slow service.
The conclusion is lifetime offer is just a marketing trap. If you need VooPlayer, it's better to pay monthly.
Yes that is a very low amount of storage. They do allow you to connect in video that's hosted elsewhere so you can leverage their analytics and video player options.
Yup! it is Marketing Gimmick! It's about their Morality. You buy the Lifetime Deal that looks Too Good to pass by, but once you buy their Service is so slow and so is the video, days go by, still no response..
@@CowMeCow I would recommend avoiding Vooplayer. They are grossly over priced the the minor amount of storage and bandwidth they provide.
The embedded videos chew up a huge chunk of CPU when running on my computer.
Also, I've been frequently ignored asking very reasonable questions.
There are much cheaper options which provide far more bandwidth and storage.
Yes sir
I think, Publitio doesn't have the One time purchase anymore. :(
Which player is better for privacy control. Nobody can download , share video from our website
Thanks Adam...my opinion, People worry too much about who's gonna be able to download their course. Most people won't even know it's possible to download these courses on your site leave alone know how to go about it. I feel like the guys with experience in how to download courses illegally are busy doing other illegal stuff.
How do you consolidate all your course videos with VooPlayer in order to sell one video file?
I bought VooPlayer through Stack Social (despite the bad deal in comparison the recent AppSumo deal, which I missed). 5 GB per code is really poor.
Great video again Adam. I would go for Publitio if I was you. I’m certainly going to try it myself after your tip about this service. That whole encryption story is, in my opinion, not off any issue because I have tools which, if I would, I can download anything, and I mean literally anything from what's on my screen. If it's not one way than I have another way. But what can I do with all those downloads or screen captures? Only using it as backup when I’m not have any subscription to whatever material anymore? Would I publish it on one of my websites? Never. Even not as criminal because there is so much material available on the entire internet.
Go to WPBeginner or other channels and you have similar material of every kind as you are making. So, that’s not the right way to prevent your material of being copied. Even a watermark is not a solid way because I know ways to remove them for instance from any UA-cam video or blend them out.
Please skip your mind a bit. You are giving so much inside content away for free that I wouldn’t bother if I was you. By the way. If I would copy anything of you I only have to subscribe to your courses anyway. It’s more likely to do so than copying anything from you. What’s the point of doing so. The reason why people following any of your courses is that they don’t have to look further to get the knowledge they want. That’s your selling point.
What I mean is that I don’t make a fuss of any encryption anymore. Just a watermark is enough. You can’t even prevent someone stealing your bike or your car with the best anti-theft installations on the market. But don’t let your key in your car when shopping 😉. That’s the message behind it.
With best regards from the Netherlands
@Bertus Aarts can you please share some of these ways to download any video and remove watermark?
I would really appreciate if you could help...
thanks!
U r wrong
What about Swarmify bruh!? I got them on a Lifetime AppSumo deal.
How can we put security for screen recording of lectures on Wordpress? I have seen some websites which shows email ID of student popping up at random timestamp during video play.
Hi Sr. I have a question! If I start a courses website, how should I manage the video hosting? My platform should have it own account for example in vimeo? In this case, who should upload the courses videos? Should each instructor has it own account in vimeo and upload theirs video there? Please give me and idea of the best practices! Thanks a lot!
I've the same question as well. :(
how much bandwidth and storage do we need? How is it determined?
Great Video! How about using VooPlayer just for linking to Publitio videos? So you could have Publitios good speed & service for your videos and have the strong link encryption of voo. This is how I intend using it... 😉
It's my understanding that Voo's HLS encryption only works on videos hosted directly by Vooplayer, which encourages you to buy a larger Voo plan. If you don't need HLS, then absolutely, you should host on Publitio and then play through Voo for the better player options.
So you can use the two together but the only way to get the encryption is if the videos actually hosted by VooPlayer.
@@WPCrafter ah ok - as far as I understand it if I import a video from a different source in voo just by linking to it, voo generates an encrypted link for this video as well. I can then use voo's encrypted link for sharing. I tried that and it worked for me. Or did I get something wrong? All the best - Ulf
I like the new intro. But all and all your videos could use more shotgun... and cowbell... but mostly shotgun.
Sir can we use pubalio for live streaming
pls how can i buy publito lifetime plan....it says sold out
Which on has fastestloading speeds?
How about Movie?
Can we make a website for streaming movie with this video hosting?
Great video. Thanks. vooPlayer encryption is only available for videos they host ... vooPlayer lists support for Publitio. Any thoughts of using Publitio for hosting and vooPlayer for the player and other features (excluding encryption)?
I think it might be a great combination. I know LearnDash is currently looking into supporting VooPlayer. I think today I put out a video on the combo.
Hey are you still using voo player?
Please tell how to increase video buffering speed on own word press website
Hi there,
I would like to use Presto player for my platform,
We are an e-learning platform that provides VOD content to students subscribed through our app. So the services which will be required are:
1. 1 TB storage for hostage
2. Approx. 10 TB bandwidth
3. API integration capability to play videos through our app
4. Playback speed and resolution change options in the player
Which of these requirements can be completed if we work together and what will be the best pricing you can offer for the services you will be providing.
Presto Player can deliver on all of that, but unless you need the presto player features, it may be more cost effective to use Vimeo alone.
I'm Thai people I try to use vooplayer I have buffering issue.
Can l use publitio on php website. Is there privavy control no download and sharing.
Well a year later, it seems VooPlayer is now Spotlightr. For a while earlier in the year (2020) I started getting a lot of complaints from our clients watching our videos on VooPlayer. And stopped using VooPLayer, but those videos were still on there. Then I see a few months ago VooPlayer has changed to 'Spotlightr'. I don't know if its just me or others have noticed a improvement of playback of videos. It seems to be a LOT better. So, not sure it VooPlayer was sold to someone else that improved the streaming or what. No time for a deep dive. But happy with playback of late.
Sorry that you had issues, I did as well. Any improvement would be due to them changing CDN companies.
I have also experienced some buffering when I try to watch your course
I'm really sorry about that!
