OMG!! I followed your tutorial and brought my website from a D/B score to an A/A score! It was just a few steps but changed dramatically!! Thank you so much for this setting tutorial!!
I've had issues a number of times with various topics, and whenever I search for a solution invariably a video of yours pops up. Your content has proven trustworthy and reliable for me. I am glad you take the time to create these videos!
Initially my site slowed down quite a bit after making the (using Namehero + WP Rocket + free CloudFlare originally). I was about to switch back but after a few days (I think 3-5) my Gtmetrix went through the roof into mid 90s. Also it did require me to watch other litespeed cache plugin videos specifically, as Adam didn't cover everything with his initial video (looks like he has done). The only thing I see now is that the size of the site is still higher then prior. I've been monitoring my load times through out the day and will send the info to Adam. Props to Adam for yet an other incredibly valuable contribution to the online community. No one has every told me about this (I'm speed obsessed). So a heartfelt thank you Adam
I'm going through these settings now in this video and it seems to have broken my site. All pages load completely wrong. On refresh they work ok. Think i'll reverse all settings and remove this plugin.
You know what, I don't normally comment but you're right. You did put in a lot of work and I really really appreciate that. This was very well done! I appreciate all the time and effort you put into the project.
Nice job Adam. I can tell you from experience that there is no discernible difference between enabling redis over memcached for object caching performance on most WordPress installs. In fact, on most hosts [at least the ones I used] using litespeed, memcache is better configured to work with the cache plugin.
Well done, these settings really improved the score of my website. Thank you for taking the time to make this video and share the information. Happy Christmas
I shifted to A2 hosting Turbo plan from Hostgator cloud after watching your last video. In the initial testing it seems to have made my site slower. Litespeed cache plugin was having compatibility issues so I used A2 Optimized plugin to implement litespeed.
I had the exact same issue with mine (using Namehero + WP Rocket + free CloudFlare originally). I was about to switch back but after pa few days (I think 3-5) my Gtmetrix went through the roof into mid 90s. I was with a2hosting prior to switching to Namehero. I also used their optimized caching plugin a2optimized. But I got better results using WP rocket and cloudflare configured properly.
@@zpepe Yeah, I will play with different settings and try to optimise it. First I'll switch to 7.2 php instead of default 7.3 and see if litespeed plugin becomes compatible. The plan I have selected comes with 2 gb ram. But at similar price, hostgator has cloud hosting with 6gb ram. They have now upgraded to ssd drive and also promise server side caching (don't know if that's litespeed). So as you can see hostgator plan seems tempting.
I also have some sites on A2. Can't recall which plan, but I've been quite impressed. They do regular security checks followed up with an email, so you can take action.
@@zpepe what is your url? I have what I deem a bad (speed wise) host, and with 5x HD images with 1xTinyjpg run on them & my load time is 4.5-6 seconds. This is with autoptimise + w3 cache + a WAF + elementor etc. Run pingdom's free scan & check your total image size. Size your images to the sites wide (in my case 1070 if I recall) & then run then through something like Tinyjpg. I do find that the Tinyjpg Analyser, estimates my post compression size to be 1/2 of what I actually get from their tool. In Gtmetrix, what is your sites first few entries under the Waterfall tab?
Thank you so much sir.. It did it.. After following each step you tell.. My GTmetrix Pagespeed Score 98% and Loaded Time 2.7second before it was 32Seconds with D Pagespeed score 😂 🙏Thank you so much.
Cool. I literally just switched over to Namehero/Litespeed/Kadence as per your recommendations and am planning my ecommerce site structure as we speak.
Hello there! You might want to check the current PHP version you have enabled in the cPanel from Select PHP Version/Multi PHP Manager. These two modules are available in PHP Version 7.4 and maybe also 7.3. However, in version 8.0 (the latest PHP Version), the modules are not available anymore.
Hi Adam, I just completed watching this video and implemented all that you said on my website. It increased the speed a lot, but my logo isn't displaying with lazy load. It only appears for a fraction of second after the site loads, and then it disappers. I even tried excluding my logos from lazy load but it didn't work. It's only appearing with lazy load off. Can you help me with this issue? Does keeping lazy load off makes my site kuch slower than keeping it on?
thank you for another useful tutorial! I couldn't find the Memcached or Redis extensions. Anyway, I moved my client from SG to Hostinger and it's MUCH quicker! thanks again.
Thanks for the great content. I have a problem related with LiteSpeed Cache Plugin which causes white blank page error some of my blog posts. Is there any certain solution for that?
So what do you do if your site scores a D or an F on gtmetrtix? My site was actually faster with Litespeed deactivated. It was getting a D. Now with Litespeed on and most of the settings as described in this video I get an F. The site's speed, or lack thereof, has been an issue since day one. I'm also with Hostinger and they say everything is fine. I'm at a loss at this point.
My Situation: From what I understood, if I use LiteSpeed Cache, it should be enough, and I won't need any other plugin for Caching. So after changing my hosting to a server that uses LiteSpeed Caching, and following all the instructions in the video, I went on and deleted Autoptimize from my website... But then after re-testing with both GT-Metrix and Pingdom, I find out that the number of requests went up (from around 40 initially to around 60 now). My Question(s): Is LiteSpeed Caching supposed to be enough alone? Can I delete Autoptimize if using LSCache? Can keeping multiple caching plugins cause some issues with my Website? Thanks a lot for the videos, and especially for your honesty when reviewing plugins, themes, etc... (also, I rarely like videos on YT for some reason, but somehow you convinced me to "smash the like button" on this one lol) Many Thanks!
Thanks, yea I know I pack a lot into a video but I the side benefit is the table of content I have been adding so you can easily find what you want. Cool huh.
Hi Mate, all of your videos are so helpful. Im struggling to get my ocean wp theme a good score, even paid service didn't help to get my score above 8 on mobile. Cloudways will never have Litespeed, they use an Apache + Nginx combo. There are benefits to it for sure. Just different tech.
Cloudways uses vps not shared hosting. Even though not native nginx or lightspeed, their stack is quite good.
