Now that you've said that I need to comment! 🙈 I absolutely love your guys channel ❤️ you are all so lovely and so inspiring! Thank you for all that you share Xx 💐
I totally agree with you about the culture shock after returning to the US many years later. I traveled the world (97 countries) for 5 years on a motorcycle! Then I decided to settle down in Rome. I was there for 2 years traveling all over Italy then 2 weeks ago I landed in Detroit (I am actually in the suburbs) and was not ready or it. Yes everything is big and convenient to a point! To make a long story short: I miss the Dolce Vita...........You guys have a great family. Happy Thanksgiving.
I love your family dynamic. The life you are providing for your kids is priceless. I grew up moving all over the world and now nearing age 68 years. The education of world travel, in and out of the classroom, is my most treasured life experience. I truly believe experiencing other cultures paves the way to world peace.
Ohhh my gosh!! The entire journey I had a HUGE smile on my face!! Then when you were in your family's arms.. my eyes leaked. Overwhelming HAPPINESS in my heart for you all!! Thank you for sharing such monumental moments with us! Soooo HAPPY for you all!! ❤️🎉❤️🎉
I spent 24 years in the Air Force and like you guys I have been all over the world. For me though nothing beats the USA. May God bless your family in your journey.🙏
It was so exciting to see Heather hugging her parents & grandma hugging the girl’s! So nice that you all have gotten a reset! I am eager to see your next travel’s & to hear what is happening with the house! We really Love you all!🙏🙏🙏Blessing’s
The effects of three weeks of “relax, refresh, reconnect” were very visible on both your faces! So glad you have this time away and look forward to what’s ahead.💗
Great to see you are taking time out to restock your energy banks! You have worked so hard on the stone house. All that digging, concreting and moving of heavy materials must have really zapped you. Not only that the stress of your visa situation must be adding another layer of stress. Enjoy the time with family and friends and just being a family. You will benefit in so many ways. Just praying that all is ok when you return to Italy. Best wishes.
A perfectly positive and hard-working father, a perfectly positive and wonderfully smiling mother, and their sweet and sweet daughter. You are a very, very valuable wonderful family. ❤
My first comment! I’m now 69, and although I’ve had an exciting life having grown up in San Francisco near Golden Gate Park in the 60s & 70s (and marrying a member of a famous rock band), I unfortunately never traveled to Italy. My grandparents emigrated to tye US from Belnome in the mountains east of Genoa, and my cousin still owns my great grandfather’s home. Every year, there is a huge family reunion for weeks where the women cook and the men sing and everyone dances and drinks wine. I’m hoping to go before it’s too late! Anyway, I’m living vicariously through you, and think you must’ve picked the most beautiful spot in Italy for your homestead. I’m mesmerized by all of the different facets of your property, and how you have pulled from so many of its resources. I also love that your girls are going to be so well-rounded after this between traveling and being hands-on with renovations. And I love how transparent you are with all of your ups and downs, and that you haven’t lost your sense of humor through it all! I do know that in my next life, I am going to pick a husband who is handy! I’m the one that fixes everything around here. Sorry for the long text but I just love you guys and wish you the very best. I can’t wait to see the end result on the house, especially since I feel like you are really ready to rock ‘n’ roll. Take care. Much love, Kathi. ❤

Ciao Sara! I am coming to Italy next year and hope to visit Genoa and possibly Belnome. How wonderful that you know where Belnome is located. Many people do not! My ancestors started out in Genoa and I have always wanted to visit. I would love to drive into the mountains. My old boyfriend was from Tuscany and he still foraged for mushrooms after he came to the United States from Italy. Thank you for writing to me. ❤
After time in Europe, my first thought upon returning to the US was about how much space we have, how that's such a significant factor of the US. Welcome home!
Wow your families are so close. Fellow Michigander here. You all seem so relaxed and happy. Looks like it was a great time to head out and rest. Nothing like seeing family. Safe travels. The stone house is coming along beautifully.
Don’t worry about the algorithm. For regular viewers your videos are top of the page every Sunday! Looking forward to more travel blogs the next few weeks!
I wonder if Heather has a moment of ….not laughing , my God , she laughs all the time , I don’t think it’s normal , but may God bless your beautiful family ❤🙏🏽
I have been watching You work on the old house. You’re doing some amazing work and it’s awesome that the whole family is involved. I had no idea until this podcast that you are from Ohio and Michigan. I was born and raised in Toledo Ohio, and only live a few miles from there now. After a year, I believe you definitely need to recharge. Enjoy your stay back in the states.
I've been following you guys since the beginning of your journey and Italy, I my heart goes out to you. You worked so hard and you're such a wonderful family God bless you and God keep you. I live in Las Vegas and I just think a lot of you guys in the courage you have. I'm a 70 four-year-old woman and I wish I had a different things when I was young. God bless you again and god keep you🎉
You have been an inspiration for many things; your effort and courage to start a totally new life; your joyfull relationship between the family; the way you support your kids to do new things like diy etc; and overall YOUR POSITIVITY and ENDURANCE. Thank you for everytyhing you are filming and sharing. You download joy and strength to the world. Lots of love.
It is so nice to see you guys so relaxed and rested. No matter where you are to watch your adventures is such a joy. The reverse culture shock is real, I experienced it many times during my travels. Enjoy the break!🎉
I am so glad for you guys!, I hope you enjoy your so deserved break, mind you that time is passing by so quickly!, you can see in your love ones and what is paramount is family gathering in these circumstances, as the world today is so complicated that is capable of destroying plans in a blink of the eye. Enjoy the love of the family, you will notice a rare feeling when you depart, but you soul will be calm because you done the right thing. So never the less. Have a great time!, and recharge your batteries! ( from an old migrant that left his country some 52 years ago) Cheers from Down Under
hi heather and bradey-i am so enjoying your videos and adventures. i am a 72 yr old US grama/artist living in mexico- lake chapala area. i retired here last year and love it, but my heart is to travel as much as possible. i love watching the building of your home as i built and remodeled 2 houses in hawaii when i lived there-but neither were stone. i also especially admire how your daughters are so adjusted to travel and living abroad- what a bonus for them. it's all very magical to watch- keep up the great adventure- i will be watching!
It warms my heart to see how much your enjoying a break from your work. It shows so much in your speech, your smiles and your actions just how badly needed this break was for you. Seeing your families, all the hugs and renewing old friendships is going to give you a second wind, you deserve this so so much. You have put in a hard year of very hard work. Love you guys, have fun.
I am beyond excited for you! I can't wait to see where you are headed. You really did need a break from the construction. Sending prayers for safe travels. See you next week!
Awesome to see that you’re able to get a much needed refresh. Great to see you all looking relaxed. Definitely looking forward to hearing about your Italian stone house plans. Amazing what you all have accomplished as a family! Have fun!!
I’ve only just found you and as a Canadian who has lived in Australian for a very long time, I know reverse culture shock well. An Egyptian friend of mine once said that your country of origin is like your mother and your new country is like your wife, you’ll always love and visit your mother, but you have to be with your wife. I love that sayings, it describes living abroad so well. Thanks for all your time and effort making these videos. I did it for one year and know how much work it takes. Enjoy visiting home.
Just discovered your channel and I'm binge watching your renos. I love the short hair Heather. I have to say you're filming, editing, posts are natural and you're awesome. Brady, I watched you doing the initial bulk of the work on your Italy home and your expertise and knowledge blew my mind. I got my husband watching too. He's impressed too. Wishing you all the best.
I'm so happy for all of you. Taking a break has been great for your family. I found you and your travel adventures while recovering from a ruptured patella tendon in July 2023. Its been healing to watch every Sunday. Your stone house is really coming along. Watching weekly from New Mexico. I suddenly want to eat cheezits now. Lol
I'm sorry excited for you all to be able to visit family and friends in the states! I know everyone missed you and your family and vice versa. Have a blast, make more memories and safe travels always!
How wonderful to see you all taking a well earned holiday. We fully understand your reasoning & explanation. Hope you continue to have a great time. Can't wait to see your next installment wherever you are. Stay safe. Love from Western Australia.
Yeah... you guys REALLY NEEDED A BREAK. I couldn't believe the amount of INTENSE work you were doing. I am in complete awe of everything you have done. A humongous congratulations to all of you on ALL OF IT!
Hi Heather & Brady! I know that you guys are on this incredible journey throughout the world, and eventually settling in Italy with your sweet little girls, but I cannot tell you or really understand how happy I am to know that you've come home to spend time with your families! I experienced goosebumps, Heather, when you embraced who I am assuming to be you father, in Ohio! So wonderful to see. Thank you for sharing your experiences, and I look forward to following the rest of your journey! God bless you!
Wow, that was a surprise, can see why you needed to leave, legal reasons and you so needed a change of scenery. You look so relaxed and happy in this video. Looking forward to seeing your adventures soon.
So happy for you to be free for a while. The girls are so much more mentally and emotionally mature now because of their building experiences etc. Have a blast ❤
Totally understand the burn out, it is mentally and physically exhausting to take on a project like yours, so you need to have the break. You both look so relaxed, enjoy your holiday and travel x
So pleased for you all that you are having such a wonderful time. You do look so very much more rested and refreshed. Excited to hear and see what is unfolding in the next leg of your journey! Blessings from Canada's west coast!
I am so happy that you went and had a holiday and seeing you run into your mom and dads arms Heather I had tears in my eyes and the girls seeing them so happy that they were going to see granny and grandads on both sides was heart warming and to see Brady so happy about seeing his family too. Have a good rest, recharge and relax and enjoy yourselves. Safe travels and lots of love from UK.
I just discovered your Channel today! I've really been enjoying watching your adventure restoring your amazing stone house in Italy. Enjoy your time back in the States with your family and friends! I'm a Michigander myself, and have been establishing a country cottage homestead not far south of Cadillac. I look forward to watching your continued adventures! Many blessings!
When working on a project causes burnout, the best thing is to get away for awhile. Always enjoyed my work conferences away to restore the energy and renew the spirit. Good choice. You make traveling look like so much fun and now I want to take a trip. Love your haircut Heather. Enjoy and will see you next week. Can't wait!
I am happy that you can take this time and reboot, visit with your families and friends, and do some traveling. You have both been working so hard, and with the visa situation, it is no doubt that you were experiencing some burnout. Relax and enjoy.
I’m so happy to see that all of you are taking a break from renovating your home in Italy! Praying the rest of your time goes smoothly. Looking forward to your upcoming videos. God bless your family. Safe travels ✈️🌎
That's so awesome that you guys got to see your families! That is what recharged you! Of cours speniding couple ofvdays alone helped a lot as well! Happy for you all! Yes you tip in other countries! Happy thanksgiving!
That joy to travel is what I look like every time I head back to Sweden and my home 3 hours north of Stockholm. I can relate so well. The first time I was in Sweden was in 1971 when I was 20. I never got over it and decided to 'come home' four years ago. Thanks for all you do.
I'm so thrilled to see you having a break, and looking so happy & relaxed. You're living your passion in two different worlds ... your Italian home restoration & travel. Bravo!! 👏🌈💞
SO glad all of you left and now "resetting" so important to get back on track. Enjoy your stay, and hope by the time you get back the Visa issue will be resolved once and for all!
It’s good to see you both so happy again. Enjoy every minute and don’t worry about responding to comments. I don’t think anyone expects that - not me anyway - I’d prefer you spent life’s precious moments having fun together xx
So nice that you have been able to get home to see loved ones. I am a Canadian living in Chiang Mai so I know what it's like to miss everyone back home. If you have any questions about Chiang Mai I am happy to help you with them if possible.
Bless all of you. What an amazing job you’re doing on your Italian property. I’m so happy you went home to visit your families and friends. I look forward to your videos each Sunday. Safe travels and I look forward to next week’s show.❤
I am so happy for you all to be traveling again! I have watched all of your videos on u tube and you were the first people I watched and subscribed to! I have travelled vicariously through you all. I also encourage you to be taking a day off every week going forward so that you don’t get so burnt out. Please take care of yourselves and have a great time with your family! Happy Thanksgiving! A fan from Canada! Kathy
I love your enthusiastic and positive adventurous outlook. Your girls reflect the same attitudes and are so fortunate to be gaining all of these opportunities and adventures. Looking forward to the next few weeks. Take care.
Brady, my husband is so impressed with your work ethic. You are a power house. Where did you learn how to do this work.. we love your videos and we have family in Italy. We really enjoy watching your channel.
Enjoy your well earned break and have lots of fun relaxing so you can get back to your stone house refreshed and reinvigorated to carry on finishing your little home
So happy for you all. I love that you've been able to create a life "outside the box". Your girls are learning lessons and skills that most kids don't attain until they're nearly adults. I also totally get the reverse-culture shock, bc I'm an Michigan expat who's lived in Sweden for 22 years now. My Swedish hubby and I travel back to Michigan every year to visit my family and our friends (sometimes twice a year if I whine enough). People sometimes ask me which country is better - my home country or my adopted one, but the truth is that both countries have their charms and faults, but that I'm experiencing the best of both worlds. On the other hand, Americans are definitely more open and friendly than most folks I've met in our travels (four different continents). So, my friendly fellow Americans and my family are the things that draw me back home to Michigan every year. Looking forward to your upcoming travels!
Don't worry Brady, when my mom got stressed while traveling she'd go through every name in the book when talking to my sister and I - including the pet's names! Coming back to the US, it's weird to hear nothing but English. I wasn't expecting it! Enjoy your trip! Enjoy family! Enjoy friends!
Hi Heather, Bradey, Alexa and Chloe, it's great to hear you have had a lovely time visiting family and friends! You look so much more relaxed and happy! Wishing you ALL a wonderful and Happy Thanksgiving! Looking forward to your next travels and projects!
Absolutely love the show, I wish that I was younger and much healthier to travel again. Enjoy every voyage and every minute making your precious memories ❤
Huge lump! 🥹💛 Your excitement was transferred all the way to the southern most tip of Africa! ✨️ Refuel, Relax, Restup... greater things are still to come! Enjoy your Family 🤗❤️
Welcome back to the USA! Just in time for Halloween too. So much fun for all of you. If you are visiting the Grand Canyon on this trip also plan on going to Bearizona in Williams. The whole family will love it. Enjoy!
SOooooo excited to share a MASSIVE update about the stone house next week!! Thanks for all your love and support!
How do you afford the travel and on your dream home??????
I love watching your progress and how you are doing your house . Can't wait for your next video, it's awesome. Cheers from Tasmania Australia ❤
Thank you guys for your update, so keen &. excited to see the finished stone house also ". cheers from Australia,.👌

Safe travels, have fun with family and friends. Live life to the fullest and enjoy. Looking forward to more updates from Italy.
Your older daughter is old beyond her years! Young but an old soul! Love her!
Many Americans do not appreciate so many things we take for granted. You will get back to Italy and finish the house in the beautiful Italian Alps.
I think it's nice to be able to go back to the U.S. and experience the diversity among countries.
You could tell you guys were stressed because now you’re both so silly together. It’s good to see.
I totally agree with you about the culture shock after returning to the US many years later. I traveled the world (97 countries) for 5 years on a motorcycle! Then I decided to settle down in Rome. Sounds like an epic story. A life well traveled!

So happy that you took this time to recharge. Enjoy every second of your children when they are young. Your videos are terrific!
I love your family dynamic. The life you are providing for your kids is priceless.

Great news! What a life you are giving to your children. We did this with our now grown 40-something sons!

Glad you are all refreshed!
Enjoy your time relaxing, refreshing and traveling. ❤

You guys are glowing! I’m so happy for you! Believe me… we all needed this as much as you did. 😉
I’m so happy to see that all of you are taking a break from renovating your home in Italy! Praying the rest of your time goes smoothly. Looking forward to your upcoming videos. God bless your family. Safe travels ✈️🌎

Bravo!! 👏🌈💞
Y’all look so happy and rested. I’m amazed that y’all can laugh thru work and play, even when sorely fatigued. Your videos are always uplifting.
Don't worry about responding!! Can't wait to see where your taking us!! Travel safe and enjoy. Wonderful way to make memories 🐢

Great plan! So glad you got to come home and spend time with family and friends! Looking forward to the big update!!
Enjoy your well earned break and have lots of fun relaxing so you can get back to your stone house refreshed and reinvigorated to carry on finishing your little home
you guys look rested and so happy.....looking forward to seeing what comes next!
