yeah some have been a pain. I farmed the glaive near sellia town for an hour, then lost my sanity tried farming it with me and he got it 3rd attempt lmao. I have terrible luck.
Out of sheer morbid curiosity I would like to see Chase showcasing the turbo katanas. We've seen Moonveil and RoB operated by casuls a million times, maybe Chase will end up tearing the fabric of space-time with those.

When farming for this i recommend using all the nobels outside the debate parlor grace as one has a chance of dropping the nobel's estoc, which is even more fashionable.
Sacred blade can be an excellent punish when you're just outside your opponents range. The projectile is quite slow so it'll have to land while the are still locked in their animation. Very effective against zoning AoW for that reason.
You should try the Inseparable Sword, aka D's weapon. It has a super interesting two-handed moveset for a greatsword. The best animations in the class for sure.

4:15 DAMN! that was the most awesome duel i have ever seen! So much back and forth, so much tension! Also, i would like to see a showcase of the Carian grandeur ash of war. It's just such a cool thing! I believe only someone very skilled like you would be able to actually pull it off consistently on PVP or on an invasion. I believe the bastard sword with the magic affinity is the best tool for the task. Max your INT and slap a Godfrey icon, Shard of alexander and Carian filigreed crest all together and there you have it! (It also doubles as a Dark moon greatsword build!)
I used this weapon paired with the cane sword for maximum noble energy. I infused them with bleed and it's actually surprisingly op. It seems almost any weapon can be a good bleed weapon in this game.
Any weapon you can powerstance becomes pretty broken when bleed infused or occult infused weapons with innate bleed. Plus bleed has a ton of buff stacking they can use in the form of lord of bloods exultation, rotten winged sword insignia, white mask, and a few other items/weapons
The rotten sword insignia or valkyries prosthesis does well with this since it procs on 2 swings with dual ss and lasts long enough to proc again most of time during fighting (it counts for the talisman if you hit them while they roll even if they take no damage)

I really enjoy the wakizashi due to its powerstance compatibility with katanas and I actually think that it’s a lack of cool incentives to mix and match daggers in with other weapons that really hurt the whole dagger class in ER.
I'd love to see some banished knight halberd. Both the dual and the solo/2-handed. I've been running a Banished Knight cosplay lately and haven't desided what stat is best for this weapon. Maybe cold plus stormstorm, hoarforst or ice spear. A multi-character show-off of all the different stats in general would be awesome no matter the weapon. So many weapons have wiggle room for infusions. The noble SS in this video could easily become a int or faith weapon. Showcasing different sides would really add to the content.
I’m still trying to get one of those swords to drop for me, it’s one of the few straight swords that get an A scaling in strength with a heavy infusion
Funnily enough this is one of the most meta builds. Dex/Lightning is insanely powerful due to rain and water, also the fact that these swords have the best range of the straight swords and one of the best powerstance movesets. Being that you only need to pump Dex you can have high health too with decent endurance for heavy armour. It's so easy to win fights with this build if you play right.
I remember you're not a big fan of curved swords, but I wonder if you've tried the Shamshir? Same moveset as the Scimitar, just a good deal longer~ Super fun to duel with, with its faster moveset and forward momentum! Loving the daily showcases, thank you for your work 😍
Beast's Roar can be free aimed as well! One of my favorite ashes to catch mages off guard. Though do keep in mind you have to aim quite a bit higher so it doesn't hit the ground.
Even though it has one of the lowest base dmg for short swords it has some of the best dex scaling when infused with other elements like flame/faith/magic/blood
@@pliablegalinstan6564 it scales well with other infusions and has extra crit while having the longest reach of all straight swords which is honestly the main selling point in PvP and to a lesser degree PvE. It’s probably the best straight sword in the game (for PvP) if you are focusing a single stat like dex, int or faith. Or even running lower value split stats with dex and int/faith if you want your caster build to have faster cast speed and a decent side weapon with respectable damage.

Even like a hand of difference is all it takes for extended ghost range to land a hit where it otherwise wouldn’t, especially with dual wielding and thrust/jump attacks. Very few weapons dramatically overshadow their peers. This isn’t one of them. Lordsworn also doesn’t scale as well with different infusions. It’s more of a quality weapon so for caster builds, it has less value. The crit is just an additional consideration. I never claimed it was ‘magical’. Also you can stop being dramatic lol. I never once claimed it overshadows all others nor do I see how you could come to that conclusion unless you are over exaggerating to make your point in which case, you automatically failed to do so. I did say It’s probably the best straight sword in the game for PvP under specific conditions and for its flexibility into multiple damage types. Then outlined those conditions and types. I didn’t say it was waaaay better or anything, hence the ‘probably the best’. This is one of my favorite weapons purely for the drip! I run a double rapier set with this being cold infused , and a poison infused Antspur rapier with Seppuku for Quad Status effects. I'm thinking about making a showcase of this build soon
Funny thing about lightning infusion there is 3 weapon that have B scaling with lightning and 1 of them is a ultra great sword Ive never tried to min max it really but im sure dmg would be insanely high on a crouch poke
You should do a showcase on the Great Stars or the Golem Halberd next, both really fun heavy weapons that can be infused for interesting combos. The great stars has the bleed and a small amount of healing and the halberd has incredible reach.
These (or lordsworns or broadsword) are good with bleed, high arc and a bit of dex. If I can get ppl to trade I almost always win because bleed procs constantly. Especially with seppuku.

Something I've personally been enjoying a lot lately is dual bleed cleanrot swords with storm stomp on them, I find that you can actually get a fair few of the L1 hits on people from the stomp and its quite fun, granted I they might be better on a keen build with one or both of the repeat hit talismans but I was on an Arc build at the time so I went with what I had.
I farmed for a noble's estoc for my dual rapier pyromancer build. Funny that I see this soon after. Thought peple didn't know the noble swords existed.
You gotta do the miquellan knight sword. Two handed is best imo. Dual wielding is nice but I still prefer the two handed moveset of straight swords. They have similar moveset to two handed katanas but I think it’s better. The special R2 the miquellan gets is hard to beat. It feels like it’s own ash of war in a charged special attack and follows up with light attacks as well. Running r2’s into light attacks work real well too. I haven’t played with dual wield straight swords too much lately I’m sure they are probably better for pvp.

They look the best. In a fight the lengthy start up on the R1 is pretty miserable 😆

You can reaction jump the poke, but it is risky as the hitbox reaches the handle and it can target you mid-air.

For invasions at 125 you can try frozen lake at mountain top, I usually find ganks there and haven’t found afk farming spots yet
