It’s the “my boyfriend can fight” in the description box for me 😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂 LOL
I totally agree with" be kind" tip because when I started to be kind to my locs they started growing beautifully ☺️
Also play some music for your locs sis😊 I treat my locs like a garden❤️
@@becomingdazhuniquefrance2615play music, seriously I never thought of that 😲
You can really tell the difference! I think of my babies as plants and my mommy’s plants love when she talks to them so it just makes sense 😭🥺! Thank you for sharing!
The be kind tip is so true! Been speaking life into my edges these last few months and I see a change! ✨I also have it wrapped up for work so that it’s left alone 🙋🏾♀️
Aww I'm so glad you see the change! Our words have so much power!! ✨ ✨
Honestly... I don't moisturize my locs at all. I went to all natural loc salon a few months ago and my loctician told me to stop putting products in my hair. She told me just eat healthy and drink my gallon water everyday and that will moisturize my hair on its own internally. Now everyone is different but I can attest that I've been drinking my water daily in my los are not dry! the only time I put anything in my hair is every 6 weeks after my wash I oil my scalp one time and that's it.
Same!
I need to follow these rules Coz recently my locs have been itchy and flaky. So I did a ACV rinse to strip all the products and just use my natural shampoo n conditioner( instead of including the oils too) but I'm back to itchy again 😩
I've had my locs for around 9yrs using same products but it's never been this itchy
Same!!!! People think I’m crazy that I don’t spray and oil my hair while it’s healthy. My hair is tailbone length and it’s VERY moisturized and does not look dry at all.
Thank you so much for sharing this!! It makes a lot of sense considering that our hair is an extension of our health on the insides! I’m definitely going to test this out and see how my babies react! 🥰
“My boyfriend can fight” I know dats right 😂😂😂
LOL I gotta let em know 🤣🤣🤣
I started my locs journey 2 months ago and for my moisturizer I use water and then use either tea tree oil or Jamaican black castor oil to seal the water in and my hair has grown and it works! and sometimes I do a rice water rinse
How exciting!! Thank you for sharing!!
I used to do that when I started until I noticed my hair was so scratchy strangers might have thought I had lice lol😭😭😭😭😭 rice water is no good even though your hair feels so silky after use and black castor oil is also dangerous (the mango and lime) because since they changed the formula it's not giving like it used to😭😭😭😭 I'd say sweet almond oil is the best best replacement!!
And I don't know about you but I used to wash once a week at the start and yes my hair locked fast with that method but it all turned into scraggly ends 2 years later and I didn't keep any of it😢😢😢. Sorry for the paragraph but I really saw my 2020 self in that comment and I felt the need to tell you the tea😭😭😭😭
Ooohh (edit lol): BEWARE OF ESSENTIAL OILZZZZ!!! They smell nice and make your hair feel sooo fresh but they can clash in between them and the other oils you use (thus f up your scalp ph) but they can also have an effect on your hormonal balance so really don't use more that 2 drops per bottle at a time and find the right oil for you (body, face and scalp)! I'd say minimalism really is the key here. You finally have a hairstyle which allows you to forget about your hair and I know how counterintuitive it is as a black woman but trust!!! Most of the work is done inside!!
love the be kind tip 🥺 i need to start speaking life into myself.
Aww I’m glad! 🥰 yesss we must 🥺

I took my 2 1/2 week old locs out yesterday and have to restart them soon. I had to treat my scalp. 😪 I’ve probably watched a million loc videos before and during my first set but I’m glad I found more.

I promise I’ll share when I’m ready 🥰 Thank you 🥺
I do condition I have 3b 3c locs and my hair is sometimes very visually dry
Ahh gotcha! I haven’t reached that point but thank you for sharing 🥰
Came out the womb with that bonnet on 😂
LOL no but seriously 😂
I love your lil Sis!
Aww that’s dope!
GREAT TIPS!! HAVE A QUESTION, IS IT SAFE TO TRIM YOUR LOCS? OR DOES THIS CAUSE THINNING? OTHER QUESTION, CAN YOU USE HENNA FOR COLOR OR IS IT HEALTHY? I READ, THAT IT ALSO CAUSE DRYNESS TO. I AM JUST 1.5 LOCKED SO FAR AND WILL LIKE TO ADD JUST A LITTLE COLOR, BUT I DO NOT WANT TO CAUSE ANYMORE DAMAGE TO MY HAIR. OUR HAIR IS NATURALLY DRY ALREADY AND WATER ALONE IS NOT ENOUGH. SORRY FOR ALL THE WRITTING, I KNOW THAT EVERYONE HAS DIFFERENT HAIR. THANK YOU
Thank you! I think that’s completely fine! I’m not too sure but any additional changes that you’re making to your hair will cause a shift in maintenance so listen to your hair and make the adjustments that feel best! No worries at all thank you for your patience ☺️
Also, people need to realize that long hair comes with alot of annoying "quirks", I love it, but I miss my bob-length locs.
I'm saaaaying!! It's definitely more than being a "look"
Thoughts on shea butter to keep locs/roots moist?
Honestly I think that’s too thick and would cause buildup but I would consult a loctician ☺️
Depends on your hair. I used it when I was a loose natural and still use it now that I have locs. Just make sure you use a little bit since it goes a long way. To be safe, make sure it's whipped, which adds air and makes it not as heavy.
It makes my locs super soft!!!! But again, everyone's hair is different, so proceed with caution.
@@mndegrassi8 okay yes because my loose natural hair loved it and I was afraid to use it on my locs. Thanks for the advice!
Okay so I may sound slow but I’m unsure of if all the shampoo is washed out I swear I rinse for like 10 mins
Did you squeeze your babies?
Yes but idk maybe I’m trippin 🤔😂
Lol you might just be stressing it’ll be okay 🤣
@@thequalityname you’re right lol 😂
I know this is really late, but you can mix your shampoo with water to dilute it. That way it's easier for the shampoo to rinse out.
how often do you wash your hair?
I believe it was like twice a month
Do you ever clip your ends?
Yes!!
Not a clone sis 👯♀️🤣
I’m telling y’all right neow so there’s no confusion 🤣🤣
Oil is food also.
?
Is your scarf satin also?
Yes!
Hey #qualitybabes 👋🏾❤️
Heeeey 🥰🥰

🥰
I dont do anything and my locs are growing. Wash and oil.
That’s so dope!
😍 Shid I can fight too
LOL
Moisture.... water .....👐🏾 I mean come on now, lets think a tad deeper people. Let the oil seal it in
Exactly 🤔
