“why reaction videos never include Kiyoshi as a top Japanese bassist” If you mean why she isn’t included in a top 10 list, then probably for the following reasons: 1. People mainly promote their favorite musicians to reaction channels. 2. Their favorites musicians are usually based on their favorite bands. 3. They declare their favorite musicians as ‘top’ musicians. 4. Bands with the most fans are more likely to have members in a ‘top list’ that shouldn’t be there.
Thanks for the back ground info on Kiyoshi 💜 I found discovered her a few months ago. I love her style of playing and her bass tone is so good. She is so dope! Like her T-Shirts says 🤘😎
I love Kiyoshi. I've been playing Warwick basses for over 20 years (I currently have two high end Vampyres), so when I saw Kiyoshi playing a Warwick at her level of skill, I was instantly hooked. No one will ever confuse her with a great singer, but I love how intense and emotional she is on stage.
I'm a simple man... I watch a vid about Kiyoshi, instant like and subscribe. Kiyoshi-sama NEEDS to be world-wide mainstream known and placed in those top tier musicians. She is just a force of nature with all that she does behind stage.
wow - marty friedman - he has also used wakazaemon as well. looks like he collaborates with nothing but the best ! kiyoshi is amazing - and she also does vocals like waka-san.
Kiyoshi is an absolute beast on her chosen instrument. Although one thing you failed to mention in relation to Marty Friedman is that he's also had Wakazaemon, from East of Eden, play bass for him in lieu of Kiyoshi whenever she's busy with her various other musical activities, including her solo work, of course.✌️♥️🤘🇦🇺
Maybe it is a typo on your thumbnail. She has not been Marty's bassist for sometime now. Last few years it has been Wakazaemon (East of Eden and Support for Koiai)
Kiyoshi is awesome, and yes, she is somewhat underrated, based on a quick scan of a few hundred entries (on X) of the Japanese Bass Magazine's GreatestBassist2025 voting last week. I didn't notice any votes for Kiyoshi. From that sample it looked like it would roughly be a tie between Geddy Lee and Fami.
Thought I heard a little F Chopper Koga vibe, then I thought maybe what I hear is a Kiyoshi vibe whwn I hear F Chopper Koga. She's fantastic. Thanks for sharing.
“doesn’t stand out” Do you think she stands out well enough to be put in a top 10 for female Japanese bassists? Because I assume most people here would probably have more issue with her not being considered at all, while they see even less qualified bassists in various top 10 lists. That’s my impression of the situation anyway, but this is the first I’ve ever seen of her.
@@SomethingToDo360 I have seen her yt videos before. I said she is talented. But I find Mina from the video before more interesting in comparison. This is my opinion.
@@usagi3919 “Mina” Well I’m not arguing with that pick 😆. Your mentioning of Koga and now Mina, would both fall under my top 4 for female Japanese bassists, as: Mina, Fami, Juna Serita, and Koga.

Someone finally recognized Kiyoshi's amazing talent. Hard to understand why reaction videos never include Kiyoshi as a top Japanese bassist.

I was lucky to see Kiyoshi when she toured with Marty Friedman a few years ago. She is amazing.

One of the top bassists in my opinion! Her looking and her playing style is unique!
Thanks, Kiyoshi is awesome, I already loved her work and it was interesting to learn more about her!!!

Kiyoshi is the bees knees. Wish more people were aware of her. Arigato for putting this out there.
Thanks Venus Gaijin! I've heard her name but never listened to her, I realize now that was a mistake.

Very talented but for me she doesn't stand out. Someone commented she sounded like F Chopper or vice versa.
