@@sonicknight20 why do you doubt? Is it because it’s not as big of a game as SOTC? The Last Guardian wasn’t as big as it either yet it is still very acclaimed and loved as the first 2 games despite not being as near perfect in execution as them.
@ParkerCS2 yeah i doubt it not just because Ico's popularity pales in comparison to SoTC but also because i dont know if Sony could justify bluepoint putting their resources toward it since it likely wouldn't sell nearly as well. Personally i think it's possible it could sell well but i think Sony would think otherwise.
@@sonicknight20 yeah I understand. But still, new people have the right to discover and enjoy it for the first time. I agree it probably wouldn’t sell as much as Colossus, but you get my point.
The reason Sony dumped Ueda is because he is an artist, not a game designer. He spends way too much time designing and designing and designing to the point if nobody actually controls him he just gets nowhere. Also, because consoles have 5 year life spans for the most part he misses the boat as PS4 changes to PS5 and so forth. Now they are an independent studio so its a 3rd party release for many potential systems so instead of 1 game they need to make at least 3 versions. Ueda is a great innovator/artist and concept master but he needs to understand time is money. He needs to draw the idea, then let someone make the game.
@@LiquidSnake1988 it was in the excuses of why the last guardian took 10 years. In the end Sony fired him as team lead and degraded him to advisor. The game came out a year later under another team lead. Now ueda works for gen design and have released nothing since.

Ico was supposed to be a PS1 title and took so long it became a PS2 release. Shadow of the collossus bearly made it on PS2 it was a 2005 release and possibly the last Sony game to come out.
