I have a 2020 JLU diesel (lifted on 38” tires) and towed a 20’ travel trailer (3k lbs) from Florida to California. I have a sway control hitch on mine and it towed with very minimal issues, even passing or being passed by 18 wheelers at speed (70-80 mph). If you continue to tow I’d look into a sway control hitch. Safe travels!
About to do a trip from Seattle to Palm Springs Cali with my 2012 Jeep Rubicon Jk Unlimited 3.6 with that same trailer , i do have the pedal commander ,hopefully that'll make a difference .thanks for the heads up 🙏🏾
I’m 58 years old and never owned a Jeep until yesterday. I bought a mint condition 2012 Jeep Liberty with the tow bar attached. It’s only a 2 wheel drive but can tow 5,000 lbs. I’m a Jeep man now. Subscribed ✔️ Nice house man!
Awe Kevin,,, been there done that. So we rented a huge haul. One load, one trip. Gas cost less back then. The plus was we paid more for the rental but WELL WORTH it. Less fuss, less wear n tear on a new vehicle. Returned the truck I haul at our destinations. Wow. You went through the wringer. So sorry. I’m not trying to sound mean, it’s just lesson learned. 15:47 Thank you for sharing.
Awesome video, just what I needed to see for my upcoming move. I hope you enjoy your move to my home state and Florida is everything you wanted it to be.
I really wish Jeep would put the 2.0L turbo in the Gladiator. The 3.6L is alright, but it lacks the low end torque. With turbo engines you can at least add a bigger turbo or a software tune to up the boost and get more power after the warranty is over. I live in Powder Springs GA. I just subbed to your channel. Have you done any trails in North Georgia yet?
Would never buy a tiny gas turbo engine for a Jeep. Unless it's just for getting groceries I guess. The diesel in my gladiator is the best engine I've ever had in all the Jeep's that I've owned and I'm averaging 22mpg on 37's.
That 2.0 is just not enough displacement for a vehicle that size. I guess if you trade every few years it would be fine but keeping it long term I feel would be a headache and costly. Thanks for the video
I have a 2019 Unlimited Rubicon with the 2.0L turbo and 35's. She'll walk a dog stoplight racing once that Turbo kicks in. I tow a 21' camper trailer about 3000lb loaded. Highway speeds up to 65mph no problem. Yes the old 4cyl. sucked, this new one for the JL series with the turbo and the 8 speed tran is much better. 290lb/ft. torque.
The new Defender has a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 296 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, its about the size of a Ford Explorer. Do you have anything to back up your claim, or is just your feelings?
I have a 03 Jeep TJ with 6.2 LS3 430 hp and my 2022 JL Rubicon feels like it’d keep up. That little 2.0 engine is pretty impressive but doesn’t feel as comfortable as a big V8. An LT1 w/8 or 10 speed is ideal setup for JL. When I hit 100K out comes the 4 cylinder and in goes the LT1.
@@brianbusch2840 I would mind trying a swap of the new 3.0L twin turbo in my Gladiator, jeep is putting that engine as an option in the Wagoneer sometime next year from what I read.
Not sure how you figure the 2.0L isnt “enough”…. I tow all the time with it and handles the loads like a champ… I towed my daughters Jeep YJ on a tandem trailer at 70 mph. Towed it and did it with better fuel economy then my 2020 Power Wagon
72mhph? JESUS F dude! You are so lucky! In MOST states anything over 60 mph when you are towing is illegal unless you are a commercial vehicle aka semi ect ect! So lucky you didnt get nabbed
I've towed with a Jeep YJ, Honda Civic, Suzuki SX4, Honda Accord, and now a Subaru Crosstrek. They've all done fine for light towing. I can borrow or rent a truck if I (infrequently) need to move something really heavy. Most people aren't in construction or farming or the like, where they need to tow substantial loads frequently.

Nice house man!
I will be towing the same uhaul trailer with my 2018 Porsche Macan for 2200 miles in two weeks. Wish me luck!
Yep. Nailed it. When I tow with my lifted ‘22, 65mph max. Can do 70 but downright dangerous
thank you for a very honest review of towing a 6x12 packe d with a wrangler.

Thank you… Not going long distance but in my 2021 Sahara Limited I wanted to make sure it was capable - I think I’ll go down one size also

Loving it so far!
Avoid squat/sag by installing supplemental airbags in the coilsprings. It's about $100/pr.
Will not be towing with this vehicle ever again.
I have a 21 Rubicon with 3.6 I tow 3500 . Often dose it easy .. I believe in Europe the same jeeps have a 4500 or 5000 tow capacity
yeah i wonder why? is it built different

Nah. There’s no replacement for displacement.
The 2.0t is a much better engine. They should get rid of the 3.6.

@@stevenwilson2292 and you’re paying almost double for fuel. Double for repairs. You aren’t winning, not even close
@@goodoljackburton9211 Well if this were 1980 you’d be right, but it isn’t so you aren’t.
Awesome 👍🏾😊
Will be towing with a Hensley Cub distribution hitch. Can't get any better to eliminate sway.
I’ve done well with this Jeep using the next sized down UHaul trailer.
OMG at those gas prices I would say get out and start walking
I LOVE THE OLD ARMY JEEPS.
🚙🌏🗺🏕🫅🩸🐑✝️🔥🍞♥️🧭.
Do you still own the Jeep? Any corrosion or problems?
How are you guys enjoying your Bestop Sunrider? I picked up one for my 2023 Wrangler Sahara 4xe, hoping it was worth the money.
My wife LOVES it

All factory MPG reading are off on the displays usually by 1mpg
Depends on tire size, most dealers change wheel and tire combos and different sizes change the Speedo.
I have a 21 wrangler eco diesel and I gotta move my shit east about 400kms. So I can do it?
QUICK TRIP
KELLOGG AND 1500 SOUTH MAIZE RD
WICHITA KS.
I don’t get why you’re putting premium gas though?
I have a 2019 and i notice a big difference using 87 and 91 il stick to 91
The 2.0l turbo requires premuin fuel, another reason not to get one, stick with the 3.6L.
Why the hell are you putting premium in it?

At least the U-haul has surge brakes.
Should be good same frame as a dodge truck
Just picked up 2022 JLU Willys Sport, didn't even get a hitch assemble. I didn't buy it to tow if I need to tow I'll use my truck.

😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 Jeep Wrangler 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍❤️
I can't rent a uhaul trailer with my soft top jeep wrangler
Running 93? I’d imagine that helps a little if you have an above average air filter
Turbo charged engine.. I don't mind avoiding knock at all costs and running 93..
A 2 litre, and the price tag LOL...
Kevin you and wife have suffered from the Biden effect on the gas prices.
