I absolutely love Janis Joplin and I am a purist. I hate covers done by metal bands, BUT I have to say this version still gives me goosebumps. Paul Shortino has so much soul and passion in his voice. This is a most excellent version. Love it!
Is this a Video from SUPER ROCK 1985 Odaiba, Japan? If it was so, I was there. As far as remember, DIO, Foreigner, Sting and MAMA'S BOYS were together at that festival.

Paul has an incredible voice....if you havent heard it listen to the song hear n aid...basically the heavy metal version of we are the world....paul's part is short but damn he nails it!!

all 300 people there loved it. I am huge RC fan, but man... no one there!

スティングがキャスティングに文句を言ったり、登場順変えたりして、やたら偉そうにしていたのが腹立ちますが、今見るとブリングオンザナイトなんてなんちゃってジャズだし、本気で演奏したラフカットやママズボーイズが一番立派。朝まで泥んこになって眠気と闘い続けた客はもっと立派。スティングとフォリナーで帰った奴らは惜しいことをしたと思う。

That was the japanese Crowd of it’s day. They were very polite when it comes to shows and they would be very quiet but that’s just their culture
