    I was so disappointed to not get Try on their debut album but glad they eventually released it on Anthology.

    Rough Cutt was THE band that was going to take over the rock world. Great vocals, great songs, everything working together. Amazingly that didn't happen. I think they could have been legends with their sound.
    Do you happen to have any Rough Cutt material with Jake E. Lee? I never heard him with the band.

    I've heard 2 Rough Cutt songs with Jake E. Lee, "A Little Kindness" and "Used And Abused". From what I've heard, Jake briefly rehearsed with the band Dio after that, though I've heard conflicted reports on the exact extent of those rehearsals.

    One of the best songs by RC that I believe was was a demo is "A Little Kindness." I have a rough version, but it is a killer song by any bands standards.

      Craig Goldy of Dio was also in this band. I've searched high and low for something, anything with him on it. But no luck😕

    That is NOT Craig Goldy (not Goldie). Again, a friend of mine. That IS Amir.

    There is a demo version of this song produced by Ronnie James Dio that is fantastic. Great song.

    If I'm not mistaken I think that's Craig Goldie and not Amir Derakh. Amir came in shortly after this.

  • @pslover
    @pslover  17 років тому

    Thats Amir. From past interviews about this appearance, I think he had only been with the band for like a week or so.

    I'd heard that Amir had been in several bands before Rough Cutt, but off the top of my head, I can't think of the names of any of them.

    @TheGringo300 I have Los Angeles radio 94.7 KMET METAL shop shows from 1984 where it all began that feature Rough Cutt on some of them. E-bay - Search KMET Jim Ladd. I found a box full of tapes that I taped back in the day. Excellent quality. Check it out.

    @Christian1Aguayo You must be referring to his Joe Elliott-like shirt from the Pyromania days. NOPE. American, dunno why Paul wore that shirt...

    @zenon777 The dude in this video likes and sounds more like Craig Goldie.He doesn't move or play like Amir. Look how he holds the guitar.You can change your appearance but a guitar play won't change how he attacks the guitar.

    Who are the guitar players here? I know Craig Goldy of Dio was in this band for a period too. I've searched high and low, but haven't been able to find anything. Both of these guys are a little hard to identify. The guy on the Explorer? The other guy has to be Hagar, right? Rough Cutt has always been his baby, but it doesn't look like him. Doesn't look like Craig either. 😕
