"Sugar"

Sarah Aisha Rizal same 😞
Sugar is major love in my life but it’s superrrrr inflammatory 😩
@@amirajaana6859 and its in everything, ketchup, granola, salad dressing, etc
Immediate and realistic method on the way to take away the factors that cause acne are mentioned in this acne guide *AcneCureOnline. Com* I have suffered acne issues for quite a while now and I am ecstatic to give the suggestions in this guide a go. I would certainly suggest this guide to my buddies. .
I felt this more than you will ever know
Who else gets that awful itching when you feel a big one coming though on your jaw. Urgh!?
they can itch something terrible
Oh my gosh! On get them on the chin that itch sometimes. I thought it was just me!!!
They never itched. They were painful. Now I seem to have a fungal rash that I have about a year. That inches like crazy. At night I have treated it with iodine to kill off the fungus. It has calmed down. Also I have been taking Lugol's iodine drops. The last time the iodine wasn't completely absorbed by the skin. I sometimes mix a drop in with my skincare. Aloe Vera and coconut oil also seem to help.
Girl very itchy and painful at the same time 😢
@@prislouise573 I feel you.
Adult acne sucks .. and it's very embarrassing😷😷
JMV especially when you're surrounded by people with crystal clear skin😭
JMV yes the scars 😪 I feel like my whole face is a scar
Sara B so depressing 😔
Right?? 😥😭 Quit the bc I was on to treat PMS because the side effects were just awful and now I'm in battle with my face. I've got what I call a "crater face" now 😟
@@hobisdimples94 You can overcome the scars!!! Try Chemical Peels and Derma Needles!!! Goodluck!!!😁😁😁😁
At long last ... an honest dermatologist.
:)
Yeees! Ann honest dermatologist who doesn’t push expensive product and who actually cares about her patients!!
When your 19 going on 20 and you have both teen and now adult acne 😂😭
that's my struggle right now!!
Same siss
I’m 25 and it’s just getting worse I get what you mean
me too 😣
Try being 31....still searching for that magic potion
I can’t tell you how much I admire you offering all the wealth of information that you do... you truly do have the patients best interest at heart.. I’ve been a nurse for 41 years and you are providing such a wonderful service to so many!! Thank you.. Sue
thank you so much Ms Sue!
Sue W Mrs Sue you couldn't have word it any better, thank you Doc!
I like that she is vegan but she doesn't push it on other and she respects their choices. You're a very level headed and smart lady. Thank you for sharing some of your knowledge
Allara B why does everyone think all vegans do this? There are many of us who dislike when vegans are like this because they scare people away more.
So much light in this comment! :)
Allara B I didn’t even know that about her..
Shelly Beans bc being loud is being heard.
People of certain beliefs/lifestyles who are quiet about it are not generally on display and identifiable to the masses.
@Sincere Tha King veganism isn't a lifestyle it's an animal rights movement that tries to reduce animal suffering. When americans find out chinese people are eating dogs, they lecture Chinese ppl that they shouldn't, start petitions to ban dog meat, etc. Isn't that hypocritical? Why force Chinese ppl to ur beliefs but vegans can't get upset that Americans are eating pigs and speak up about it?
Person with no pores and a single tiny pimple: "Oh my god my skin is awful. Kill me now."
Me: *Visible pores, blackheads and so much hormonal acne* "Oh nooooo. How terrible" -__-
Find a face wash and moisturiser with niacinamide in! Honestly it has done wonders for the texture and appearance of my skin, it also reduces pore size and reduces sebum/oil production. It's my new favourite, wish I'd known about it before all this horrible acne broke out 😑
@@HSFrox It didn't help mine at all :( After 2 months, i didn't see any result...

LMFAO
Mood, I get told I'm not washing my face properly. Or it's because I'm using an oil free moisturizer with my benzoyl peroxide wash and adapalene
I wish my dermatologist was like you. She just gave me pills and sent me home 😒 No tests, no finding the deeper cause... nothing of that 😒 and I just wasted money.
I am gonna see someone else. Thanks a lot for your videos xx very helpful
:)
Same.. my derma is apparently very famous in my country. I visited him today for closed comodones on my face ..But he straight up prescribed me accutaine and harmonal pills without even a blood test.. like wtf?!! And he always prescribes super expensive creams..which has fragrence in them.. I ended up paying my entire months salary in just 15mins. And im not going to use anything he prescribed.. such a waste..
i feel you. i never came back
I went to see a dermatologist last year (only once), and he basically disregarded everything I said and just gave me a bunch of samples -_- Currently looking for another one.
SAME! SO frustrating
This was another great video! I just love when you say "dont beat yourself up". One of the old myths with acne used to be that acne = dirty and there was so much disdain for those suffering from acne. Thanks as always!
:) Thanks!
Thank you! I am 22 and have never had bad acne until this year and all over my jaw and below my cheeks. This was a great insight to hormonal acne
glad to hear it was helpful
You have totally changed my skin. I can’t thank you enough for giving us all of this invaluable information and such budget friendly skincare recommendations! ❤️❤️❤️
Love watching you! Great advice. I’m a doc and you remind me of one of my best friends in life who is a dermatologist. Same sense of humor. Appreciate the evidence based, real advice. You don’t talk down to patients and I think that is a rare and special quality. All the best to you and success in every endeavor!!
Thanks so much! Hope your day is going well :)
Thank you! You spend more time explaining these issues to me than the 1-2 minutes that my dermatologist spent with me!
thanks for watching
I’m so glad I came across your channel! I too, am suffering from hormonal acne & it’s been really bad the last 6 months. I went and saw a dermatologist & he prescribed me Tretinoin & Doxycycline. After two months, I’m seeing good improvements in my face. Best feeling ever! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with the rest of the world. I know how it is to struggle with this & I just want to say I’m a big fan & that for others that are struggling, hang in there... find a honest and knowledgeable dermatologist and go for it! There is hope.
P.s I’m subscribed :)
This whole discussion was so empathetic on your side and so caring, it made me cry. It really is such a big struggle on an emotional level, and it does feel isolating, and the term "hormonal" really does make it feel like a big illness, like something is wrong with me. Thank you. Thank you so much
i actually prefer having hormonal acne over being seen as dirty or something
I suspect we would rarely get this much information from a derm in one, or even all of our visits with her/him.....I realize there are often time constraints, but I think this info reassures and educates so many pts. who might be confused and or frustrated with their treatment. Thank you so much for this video and all that you do. Priceless!! Rita
:)
Dr. Dre, I just wanted to say how grateful I am for your videos! There’s so much nonsense about skincare online, so your helpful, science-driven content is so helpful.
I have been dealing with a overactive pituitary gland (the past 11 yrs) with a benign tumor which has been “fun” to say the least. The acne, hair loss, and migraines have made my 30s a living hell. I could never find tips to deal with this condition. The tumor is now gone, yet the pituitary is still at wild levels (up to 20 something at times).
Here I am at 41 years old and getting my acne under control. I wish I had found you earlier.
This is a great video!
Thank you, Dr. Dray. I'm absolutely at my wit's end with my terrible face. I finally can afford to go to the dermatologist, and now have the confidence to do so, and understand what to expect. Thank you! Thank you so very much!
You answered all my questions regarding hormonal acne and then some. Thank you very much! I love your channel,, not only do you present information in a relevant and accessible way you also make it interesting and entertaining. Also, thank you for always including a comprehensive list and links to all the products/sites etc that you mention. I know it takes time to do this so please know that your efforts are appreciated. In this video I particularly liked your discussion on potential causes of skin problems (both hormonal and nutrition related). I find many medical professionals neglect this component to treating ailments. Keep being awesome!
This is actually making me want to schedule an appointment as I suffer from hormonal acne and have several of the symptoms that you are talking about.
I’m going through this exact situation. Glad you acknowledge the psychological effects, it is quite debilitating.
Thank you for making this video! Would love to see a video about oral contraceptives in general and their effect on acne/hormones, etc. Also super interested to learn more about the effects of coming OFF birth control after a long period of time. :)
When I get a pimple on one side of my face I almost always get a "matching" pimple on the opposite side almost in the exact same spot on that opposite hemisphere as the first pimple. Or am I crazy?
Same with me 😂
Same!!!!
Same 😟
brandi mccormick me too
Haha I am so glad to not be the only one.
I just subscribed. You deserve more subscribers and should be on tv to help more people like me who suffer from skin problems especially acne. You are truly a blessing! Thank you for the wealth of information you willingly share to us.
Love from the 🇵🇭..
Totally agree she is definitely Dr. Oz level
Great video... just did one myself on the same common topic.
Thanks! It is a distressing condition many cope with
You two should do a video together! My fav 2 skincare go to

Dr Davin Lim I came from that video to here I’m 19 and have ice pick scars dry skin I thought my thyroid was trash now it might be something adrenal but what do I know I’m no doc thank You’s

You have taught me more in this one video than I have learned from my doctor and endocrinologist. With my pregnancy I got the bad hormonal acne around the jaw. Now, going through the change, the same thing is happening. I had no idea it was hormones. Hair on the face, hair on the head thinning. They say my estrogen is just a wee bit low but not enough to do anything about. They won't give me estrogen anyhow because my mother has estrogen induced breast cancer. So hormones for me is a no go. Guess it's time to see my gyno. Thanks Dr Dray!
very frustrating to deal with for sure
It’s interesting that she mentioned dairy being a factor. It’s true in my case, when I consume dairy products I tend to break out a lot so I cut those out of my diet. But while I was in Europe this summer, I started drinking milk again but it didn’t trigger my acne, nor was it hard on my stomach as I’m lactose intolerant.
I think it definitely has to do with the garbage that is put in American foods .
It is not just what they put in the dairy, but what they feed the cows and the type of cow race too vs the european ones.
they dont put anything extra in milk they just dont filter out as much blood and pus
Yea, milk in the US vs other countries is quite different.
Watching this now, as I am in my early 40's and all of a sudden breaking out in acne I haven't experienced since my teens. For now it's under control, but I'm always on edge for the next breakout.
*Could be the face diaper!*
Best video so far! It's always important to keep people informed to make smart judgements. I'm so glad you are on UA-cam.
thanks!
I've had mild acne since puberty. I'm now 30 and it has never gone away.
I suffered from hormonal acne and other mentioned symptoms for 2 years before I was diagnosed with Cushing’s syndrome that was caused by an acth producing tumor in my lung. I think it’s great that you listen to your patients and attempt to rule out other causes for acne instead of just genetic inclination.
Wow! Thank you for sharing this Ms Paige! A lung tumor is a very scary thing to go through
I have been suffering from cystic acne for about 6 years now and it is so refreshing to hear some real answers. Thank you! I now have some things to look into and discuss with my doctors.
Glad to hear this was helpful
Love your Friday sit downs despite not suffering from the majority of the skin conditions you discuss. I enjoy your research references, and I think you could do a series on publications you find interesting. You’re a great teacher
thanks for watching!
I think this is my favorite Q&A yet. I clicked on it expecting talk about spiro and general information about hormonal acne, and left with some really useful, actionable knowledge on insulin-like growth factor, which even my healthcare professionals don't want to get into too much. THANK YOU.
Thanks!
Many, many Thanks!!! You have cleared up soooo much mystery as to why I have insane sudden painful breakouts!! Still at 35 years old. I will definitely be truly diligent with my PC Dr. And getting into a dermatologist!!
Thank you, Dr. Dray, for your videos. I am 54 years old and currently suffering with hormonal acne. I recently attempted to come off of meds (estrace and provera) for menopause symptoms. Shortly after I stopped taking the meds, my hot flashes came back with a vengeance and I am now dealing with cystic hormonal acne. . .ugh!! ☹️ Back on the meds and have topical liquid clindamycin phosphate (just watched your video on this product and will incorporate 10% benzoyl peroxide and differin in my routine). I am desperately hopeful I can get this severe swelling down before a big meeting/presentation I have in 3 days. It is not fun being over 50 with cystic acne.
Love that you are vegan! It’s nice having a doctor that I can relate to!
thanks for watching
I can’t thank you enough for sharing this information! I have been suffering hormonal, cystic acne for over 10 years. Your video has offered more answers than all these years of numerous dermatologist visits and extensive research. Your explanation is very clear and to the point. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
You are so helpful, and I feel so much better after listening to your video. I'm so used to going to the doctors and being handed pills or antibiotics. They dont take the time to talk to you about a possible root cause so I really appreciate you doing these videos!
Just got hormonal acne and I freaked out because I never had acne as a teenager. But I am so glad that all the products I have bought are exactly what you recommended!! Cerave is really a good brand after all
Same me too! What do you use to wash ur face? I'm so scared to use anything cause my face reacts to everything 😭😭😭
You have saved me tons of money, current and future!
VERY painful around the neck area. And the hyper pigmentation is frustrating as well. Thank you for touching on the fact that hormonal acne is a disease, its difficult for people with clear skin to understand and most do judge by thinking you're dirty or unclean and unapproachable. Its definately something to over come as a teenager with acne and now an adulybwith acne. The tip is to just try to ignore your appearance and the appearance or others. If you dont judge people yourself, you'll be less likely to feel as though you're being judged.
I have hormonal acne and my skin normally has episodes around ovulation and through the luteal phase (when pms symptoms arise) and chills out once I pretty much start my period.
I am pretty much trying a skincare routine based around my cycle and will see if that works. Supplements I have notice will probably help.
Antibiotics are a no go for me because I took one for a year and my body became resistant. Not just that, but it WRECKED my gut bacteria. I take probiotics and a pms supplement, so far with everything mentioned I have seen a reduction. But, not obviously a cure.
Anyone reading this with hormonal acne- you are amazing, you'll get through this. I understand your pain- it doesn't define your beauty. I love you ❤️
Dr. Dray, I just discovered your channel. Thank you so much for all of the amazing information. It’s so nice to find a trusted source for skin care info.
That hairstyle suits you very well! You look so much younger! 😱
Oh how I've been waiting for this! I've had clear skin most of my life but I've been dealing with hormonal acne the past 3-4 months and I find myself ill equipped with what to do. It's very frustrating for sure. I have to say, you are a fantastic teacher. You have a way of explaining things that really cuts to the chase. I've learned so much from you this past year.
Glad this was hlepful Ms Shannon and Happy Friday!
Thanks for all the helpful information!!!! I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the exact medications you mentioned are what my dermatologist has me using -- and my acne has improved a lot over the last ~5 years. I think my biggest difficulties are in dealing with the acne when it shows up rather than preventing it...
I suffer from PCOS and the worst part is when people treat you like you're dirty and don't wash your face. Even complete strangers feel the need to comment on my face and that really hurts. The truth is I'm obsessed with washing my face but ive recently come to the understanding that i would benefit more from hormonal therapy more than just conventional topical treatments. Thank you so much for this video. Next time someone says something thoughtless about my face, im sending them a link to this. I'm subscribing.
I've never had acne before but recently I turned 18 and I think the stress from college triggered my hormones plus entering eating disorder recovery. Now I'm having some hormonal acne mainly on the sides of my cheeks and chin area/some forehead too. It's a whole new experience but I'm learning to love my skin like this because there's nothing I can do besides wait for the dermatologist. Because I eat REALLYYYYY healthy legit the healthiest and it's not helping and any topical treatments either. Just schedule with a dermatologist y'all and be positive!
You mentioned all the feelings i'm feeling due to my acne. Love you Dr Andrea
:)
You're so great for sharing all this information with us!! You've helped me so much with my overall skin appearance and skin health!!
My acne persisted until menopause at 56! Ugh. I am enjoying relatively clear skin for the first time since I was about 12. Accutane did not fix the issue. Nothing fixed the issue but for the hormonal fluctuations to end.
I dealt with this years ago and ended up on Accutane. It helped so much. Thanks for sharing and happy Friday
accutane is a great drug
Thank you for this video Dr. Dray I’ve been suffering from hormonal acne along my jaw line and on my chest.. when I was younger I had the odd break out and that was it, now it’s like omg I’m pushing 50 and now I get this it’s just not fair
OMG! Thank you for making this . I never had any acne all my life but since I get to my 40's oh lord I started getting it 1 or 3 and the hurt so bad 😪 and always left a big deep scars that last at least 3 months before they fade. The product that helps me a little is niacinamide acid.
So informative and I’m so glad you touched upon the diet beliefs people have because a lot of people are terrified of these finders that have been hyped up
thanks!
Super video. So informative. You are certainly an intelligent caring doctor . Thank you for what you do!
Thanks so much!
La Roche Possay Toleriane and SPF fluid is really good and gentle. Also, Bioderma hydrating serum is also great and gentle. I had really bad hormonal acne on my jaw a few months ago but I realised that less is more. I just treated my acne by calming and hydrating it by using a mild cleanser, Bioderma hydrating serum plus 2 drops of Rosehip oil. My skin is cleared now and my goal is to treat the scars. Drinking lots of green matcha tea helps too :) Love your videos Dr. Dray
Viv K Yes agree less is more, gentle cleanser & moisteriser. Though Rosehip oil doesn't agree with my skin. So wish it did, iv heard great things about it
thanks!
Stephanie sprinkle, I heard The Ordinary Rosehip oil is good although I’m using the one from Trilogy
JoJo M, maybe you can try Tamanu Oil. It’s supposed to be high in linoleic fatty acid plus non comedogenic. One of my friends swear by it.
Viv K never heard of tamanu oil will try it ! Thank you Viv K 😊
This was a LOT of information. But so so helpful. Thank you so much for breaking it down to understand. Enjoying your videos. ❤️🇹🇹
Just came across your channel. You are knowledgeable and truly a gifted teacher. Thank you!
this video is so helpful and information, thank you! I suffer with hypothyrodism since i was 13 and i do believe is has affected my hormonal acne. I'm 26yo and starting the get the jawline acne. I used to have bad acne at my chin and now it seems to be mostly on my jaw/cheeks. Something that has really helped me lately (like you mentioned) benzo-peroxide cream has helped me over everything including diet, healthy lifestyle, etc... another huge helpful for me is..............!!!!!AVOCADOS!!!!! honestly it has really helped. I'll explain why..... avocados are high in omega-3. Omega-3 are anti-inflammatories, and omega-6 are inflammatories.
Primitive humans used to consume a ratio of omega-3 to omega-6 of 1:2. Nowadays on average humans consume an omega-3 to omega-6 ratio of 1:27. This does NOT necessarily mean that we are eating unhealthy, as we know, omega 6 is healthy for us. but it is important to know how much is good for us.....etc etc. Thanks again Dr Dray.
Take vitamin D and K2.
This was helpful ever since I turned 30 I’ve been dealing with this hormonal acne, it’s stressing me out and makes me not want to look in the mirror and a lot of my Docs just recommend birth control which is so annoying and off putting , and I have chin hairs who knew all these issues would occur later in life...I will follow up with my PCP we need to figure out wth is goin on..👍🏾video
Such a great video with awesome info. I love how you talk about systemic vs. skin/topical issues - so important.
Thank you so much for providing this information... money is so tight right now and to have a place on UA-cam where there is free and accurate information that can help me understand my condition is amazing.
I still get a few big hormonal bumps but only 3 at maximum monthly now. I’d like to share that coming off my birth control (that I was actually given for my acne) is what helped the most. However for the month after I stopped it, the flare up was awful and I do still have scarring on the jaw from that....
However, it has been 90% better since stopping all hormonal birth control. It took about 4 months to totally go away after stopping it but one of the best things I’ve ever done.
Yeah if the birth control did not have any ethinyl estradiol component it can worsen the acne
Thanks again for your excellent content. I wanted to share with you that I tired your suggestion of putting my moisturizer on a dripping wet face before applying my acne medication and it has made a HUGE difference. My skin is less irritated and yesterday someone commented that I looked like I was glowing. Thanks a million and happy new year (from Jamaica)
so happy to hear that this has helped!
Which video does she discuss this ?
I am so, so glad I finally decided to just see a dermatologist for medical-grade acne treatment rather than spending all this money on OTC stuff. The OTC meds lessened my PCOS acne slightly, it was never enough to fully make it go away
Thank you so much Dr. Dray for sharing this information. A physician assistant told me a few years ago that I have hormonal acne. Because I have Medicaid most if not all Dermatologists that I called won’t help me even if I pay out of pocket. The OBGYN says I don’t have PCOS. I also have hirsutism because of higher than normal testosterone. But you provided so much information that I never even new. Thanks again.
You’re so smart jeeez, how can you have so much knowledge
I mean she's been studying for nearly a decade to be a derm in the first place
I’ve been going to an esthetician once a month for all of 2019. My skin does look brighter however we’ve figured out it’s hormonal and an internal issue. I’ve had acne for over 10 years. It’s done a number on my self esteem and I can’t seem to get rid of it. This video was very helpful.
What did u do for the internal issue?
Thank you dr.Dray. I had the same experience as some others. I got quickly looked over and in 5 min was sent home with anti-biotics for a few months and it didn’t even work ☹️ the topicals soothed the skin but I didn’t see any lasting effects. Just asked to be seen by a different doctor though and will book an appointment with my primary soon to see if she’ll refer me to endocrinologist because my OB/GYN has not found anything either! Thank you for these videos because I’m all about knowledge and feel like I need it in a comprehensible way & you do that for us! ☺️ you can’t understand how much I appreciate that!
You're so right about keeping your diet healthy to avoid acne. I ate junk over the holidays that I'm not used to eating and I could definitely see it on my face. I'm back to eating my regular diet and my face is looking better already. Thanks for the informative video. I'm loving your channel:)
:) thanks!
Just in time!! I definitely needed this video today!
hope it is helpful :)
Excellent video! Thank you for sharing this information. I wish my derm took the time to explain things like you do! Could you do a video on products to help combat winter skin dryness, especially on hands? Hand soap and cream recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks! I have videos on this
Thank you, thank you, thank you. No words can adequately express my appreciation of you and your "gift" as a teacher! You're amazing!!!
Thank you so much!
She is brilliant, her advices and explanation are very pragmatic and useful,we need more professional expert videos like this, full of scientific information rather than dye recipe videos, where some 14 years old girl tells you to put yogurt and avocado on your face...
Using progestin only birth control gave me the worst cystic acne in college, when I didn't even acne as a teen. It took me years to realize that. I was so unprepared for how to treat it or the psychological effects of feeling like I looked like I was on meth. That type of birth control also caused me to have more dryness and eczema. Once I went back to a birth control with estrogen, the cystic acne stopped. It took a little over a year for the scars to fade. I used rosehip seed oil, I don't know if that did anything, but it was cheap and it felt like it helped the healing.
I never knew how painful acne was. I never cared about acne in others and I always thought it was primarily cosmetic.
Yeah the progestin only bcs can whip up some skin frenzy. Sorry to hear you had to go through this....very frustrating
JessieBanana omg been looking everywhere for such an answer, thank you! My progestin IUD also gave me horrible acne and I am getting it removed to go back on the pill and all I could find online was info on how to clear your skin by coming off the pill! Like nooo after a year living like this I don’t have patience anymore and want it gone 😭 thanks for sharing !
i’m also using progestin because i have endometriosis but i don’t wanna use it cuz it gave me acne on my cheeks:/
Yes! I breastfeed so it’s the only pill I can use and I am so frustrated with this! When I use regular birth control pill with oestrogen, my skin is clear!
I totally trust you and your opinions of skincare 🤗
thanks!
Direct and realistic strategy on the way to remove the aspects that cause acne are given in this acne guide *AcneCureOnline. Com* I`ve suffered acne conditions for quite some time now and I am delighted to give the ideas in this guide a try. I would undoubtedly suggest this guide to my buddies
My face has been breaking out horribly over the last couple of months. Nothing I tried was controlling it. I took your advice and went to the dermatologist. She prescribed Spironolactone and SulfaCleanse 8/4. The SulfaCleanse is being mailed, so I’m still anxiously awaiting to try that one. I also have an appointment with my gynecologist next week to hopefully figure out what is causing my hormonal acne. I’m 45 and this has happened to me a few times over the years, but this time it is not calming down at all. You’re right that it can cause isolation and stress. I go to work and just haven’t wanted to do much else because of it. I wanted to thank you for giving such great advice, because I would have been at a loss with this if I had not taken your great advice. Thank you so much again, and I hope you and your mom have a fabulous weekend!
Hope things improve for you
I wish I watched your videos 10 years ago. Thank you so much for all the amazing information👍👍👍❤️
Sheesh! The origins to my acne could be linked to all sorts of reasons. That's a lot of co-pays.
Lol right!!?
This channel is a absolutely a blessing thank you ❤️❤️
thanks!
I was recently diagnosed with PCOS and found this video so incredibly helpful! Thank you so much for sharing this info. So much of everything I've struggled with in regards to my face since I was 11 makes sense now.
Also really appreciate your warnings against antibiotics. I had an adverse reaction (polyartiritis) after being on minocycline for 2 years from previous dermatologist and will never do that again!
Did you consult with a dermatologist or an ob when you were diagnosed with pcos? Im not sure where to go if i wanted to ask if mine is already a hormonal acne.
@@junebugs most pcos diagnoses go through an ob. An official diagnosis requires bloodwork and ultrasound of ovaries
EXCELLENT video!! I wish we had doctors, here in UK, as understanding as you Dr Gray.
thank you so much!
I am 7 months Post partum and my skin has never been worse lol! I have never has issues with acne really ever. I’m 29. I now get break outs in the bottom of the face, chin area. Tbh, it does make you feel awful about yourself! Can you do a video about women’s skin after childbirth? TY! Love your videos
Wow I'm so glad I watched this I learned so much!
Wow everything you described is 100% me to a tee. I have hormonal acne, PCOS, and Endometriosis.
I have hormonal acne. Been struggling with acne since age 11, and now I am 36.
I've been through soooooooo many dermatologists since adolescents.
My dermatologist here in NY, Dr. Osei-Tutu, is amazing! She works so hard to remedy my acne. Currently I am using Retin-A, Tazorac, Dapsone, and Spironolactone 150 mg per day. I've done blood work, etc. I am also on my 3rd peel / cosmetic treatment. While we are working on it, and while I undestand this is a process, I feel like I haven't seen any real improvement. I've been on this regimen since April 2018. We are now headed in July. After every monthly peel I get sad. I want to for once have a CLEAR canvas! As we speak, I'm peeling from a Vi-Peel I had done 2 days ago. My Doctor is amazing, and sometimes I feel like I am a burden to her with all my out of office texts. My hair also starting thinning in the front / center. My Doctor is going to do a scalp biopsy in a couple of wks, and we will go from there. I don't know the point in my rambling, but thank you for your wealth of information. I just need some positive pep talk.
I've been struggling to find out where to start with PCOS-like symptoms. Thank you!
Thanks for taking your time to share your knowledge
thanks!

I have been struggling with painful, hormonal chin/jawline acne for the past 8 months, and it has shattered my self confidence. I tried hormonal birth control for 6 months and it didn't help. Yesterday my derm agreed to try accutane, I start in a month. I am so hopeful!
Hi how's your accutane update on your hormonal acne?
