"Late for the Sky" is a masterpiece! My favourite album ever. JB is still making wonderful music. He is a poetic genius!

I'm 71, so a fan for over 50 years. I was in the midst of my first breakup when I walked into Karma Records and found this album. I wore out a couple of vinyl copies and cassettes and have CD version still. I love pretty much all of his music, but this one has deep meaning for obvious reasons.

It always reminds me how blessed I am to have grown up with Jackson Browne's music when I see younger people react to what I always believed is one of the greatest poets and musicians of the 20th century. Conversely, it saddens me when I recognize the total lack of genuine art and music in the modern culture when we reward and celebrate the vapid, soulless entertainers of today.

Jackson Browne has been a favorite of mine since the 1970s. I’ve seen him in concert several times. Amazing artist and though I am now myself in my early 70s, his music remains close to my heart. I’m so happy to begin to see the younger generation appreciating his artistic genius. ❤

Jackson Browne! I loved his cooperations with David Lindley back in the day, especially in "Stay" and "Running on Empty".

Thank you for playing Jackson Browne; he has good songs. Please keep going on to his masterpiece 'LATE FOR THE SKY' songs
like LATE FOR THE SKY, FOUNTAIN OF SORROW, FARTHER ON, THE LATE SHOW, THE ROAD AND THE SKY, FOR A DANCER, and.,
BEFORE THE DELUGE. All amazing songs. Your thoughtful commentary always makes me smile. Your love of music shows in
your eyes as it flows to your soul. Thanks again for all the hard work in bringing some light into our lives in the dark days.

This song reminds me of Marshal Tucker Band. A group my dad loved . That sounds really similar, and I enjoyed it. I don't usually listen to stuff this "easy listening," but this was good. I hope things are going well for you, brother.

What can I say?... the music is beautiful and the lyrics hits home. Jackson Browne on my playlist, here we go!
Edit: when you said "...even in love, I've had to walk away... but I have to be proud of me for standing up for myself", that hit me harder, because I've been there too and I know how it hurts, yet necessary. Damn, dude... 😢

Great song and album. Those early albums had a magical touch both lyrically and instrumentally. He kind of lost that later on at least musically.Another great singer songwriter that has been overlooked since he died is Dan Fogelberg with songs like Netherlands,Leader of The Band,The Reach, and As The Raven Flies!

This takes me back, his voice.. to a younger, more innocent version of me. The lyrics ring true to me as well, looking back. Tommy you know we walked similar paths brother, made my own mistakes, learned my life lessons painful as they were. I had to let go as well and love from afar. Everything you said, could have come out of my own mouth. Great song, great pick patreon TY ♥andall!

First time coming across your site man, and I'm touched by your thoughtful reflections. And Jackson B: many great songs but this one may be my favorite, teary every time. And last thing - petty but honest - you said this was a request from a PATRON. I can't believe how many reactors talk about their "patreons". I appreciate your use of the English language!

When you were describing yourself at a young age, looking for a companion, not for random dates. That was me. Identical, I never had interest in superficial relationships. And I learned my lessons that not everyone thinks like this. And put way too much heart in persons that didn’t have the same intentions. It took me almost 40 years to find the companion I was longing for all of my life, and that happened in the most unexpected moment, where I already gave up. Life is crazy sometimes.
But what a cliffhanger you leave us here. Now I really got to watch all of your videos, don’t want to miss the exciting news, lol. Much love brother!

I’m glad somebody’s finally listening to this. Great lyrics. Take a listen to Bonnie Raitt singing Jackson Browne’s “My Opening Farewell.” She actually does it better than he does. Also Jackson’s “Downtown.”
