I have all of the Helm watches so far. I have this exact watch and I've literally never put it on the bracelet yet. It's been a super comfortable wear on the leather strap, which is of amazing quality. If you dig a little deeper in the box, you'll find the diving certification with the watches testing results. While this one is not a typical dive watch design, it most certainly is a dive watch in its performance. Helm is known for its lume and I will either wear this one or the Vanuatu Titanium model just about every night. The lume carries all night long. While it's more of a diver field watch design, it carries for me and for the price and specs, nothing can touch it.
I have had this watch for a month now, in blue. It is absolutely exceptional and my primary business casual and biking/workout watch. I have a small 6.6 inch wrist but it fits well on the bracelet. The blue NATO is quite dressy and leather and rubber straps are great. Lume lasts the whole night and very well made watch. Outstanding value. Love the date window implementation. Great stuff. The bezel does loosen up over time, no issues now!
I have been really enjoying my Miyako watch. The process of a wait list from Helm to purchase a product is very fair. The previous process to order and PayPal process left many buyers with little chance of getting a time piece.
So glad you had a chance to do an overview with a Helm. Relative Time's review mentioned bezel issues as well. I agree about the numerals and I would also like it better sans date. Matt knows how to make a fantastic watch and man, does he deliver them at a great prices.
I was introduced to Helm watches at District Time in D.C. back in March. They have been in the back of my mind since then. Your review just might have convinced me to pull the trigger on purchasing a Helm watch.
That was a very good review! Thank you. I've been trying to finalize my decision of GREY over BLUE...and your great pics of this watch I think sealed the deal for me. GREY is the way!
Not my style (I mainly wear straightforward, boring military watches), but this is a nice looking watch. I like how they did the bezel. I do appreciate the design and color.
I have this one was well. Only issue: clasp. I need one more setting for micro-adjust. I have ordered a Helm clasp for $20 and $3 shipping. I'd recommend ordering a clasp with the watch.
hi joshua, cheers from new york. just wanted to tell you that swatch says they will be releasing lots more of those omegaxswatch watches. you probably already knew this.
I got drafted in a lottery but I didn't even know I signed in first place. I gifted my place in the HELM group since I have a Breitling SuperaOcean 42 and the Miyako looks too similar to him. In the end I didn't have the interest to either purchase or wear this watch. Plus I am eyeing a flieger type A from Laco.
@@seavee2190 so if i "do some research" i will start liking these shitty microbrand china made dogturds? designed by some foking random wannabe? is that what you are saying? should i go and read helms absolute pathetic "about us" statement? lol "Our mission is simple: To produce durable, affordable, dependable timepieces that are inspired by adventure and exploration, and designed for a lifetime of both." HAHAHAHAHA GTFO!!
Does the Fifty fathooms have the dial pattern in the middle? Helm Lume? Bracelet, hands, date window etc... So, the bezzle and number layout are similar, so is every other watch.

Just signed up for the Komodo, this reminds me a little of the Fifty Fathoms. Very unusual sort of retro styling for the brand.
Nice! Hopefully you won't have to wait too long! Thanks for watching!
Good looking piece. That polish really is done well.
It is very well done! Thanks for watching buddy!

This is Blancpain FF homage.
There are some similarities no doubt! Thanks for watching!

Hi there, can you hear the Miyata 9015 rotor noise in this watch? Please let the viewers know. Thanks.
Not that I recall. Thanks for watching!
