Would you please elaborate how/where the stick on ice&water is installed, if not put on the entire roof space; you mentioned in your video sort of, you said 4” of overlap with synthetic underlayment. Thank you
Just had a new roof installed, and the contractor should have put the Malarkey Arctic Seal, but instead used GAF Feltbuster. This is a breach of contract. Would I have recourse to make the roofer do my roof again to put the Arctic Seal underlayment?
Just curious what are you worried about ? The quality of the material used is inferior resulting in leaks ? or your worried about your warranty being voided ?
@@bellsback My concern is that the agreement I signed indicated I was supposed to get Malarkey Secure Start underlayment. They invoiced me $787 for this premium underlayment, BUT they installed the cheaper GAF underlayment, which would have cost me $300 less, or $487. Does that make sense? On top of this, they only offered to knock $200 off my bill, and I had to protest that they reduce my bill by the just amount of $300. They were also ready to install Malarkey Highlander shingles on my roof, when the executed agreement indicated that the better (and more expensive) Malarkey Vista shingles were to be installed. Isn't it odd, that both of these F-ups were in the favor of the roofing company, and not in favor of the homeowner? Moral: Homeowners beware. Dishonest roofing companies are ready to quote you premium products, charge you for these premium products, but install the cheaper alternatives. Then, when you catch them, they apologize and blame it on the supplier that dropped off the materials. SMH
