Really? I mean, Dot attacked everything about Drake. Be it his music, his persona, the way he approaches the culture, his character and integrity as a human being, Hell, he insulted Drake's father, MENTORED HIS SON, and highlighted the crimes that some OVO members have been convicted of. I got one prediction. I think it’s quite possible that Kendrick will not just humiliate him publicly, but also make drakes sponsors drop him. Kendrick could really shine a light on all of drakes dirt in this moment with all eyes watching and everyone talking about it. Drake has too much evidence of him being inappropriate with underage girls. Straight groomer activities. This is all one topics. One aspect. Just a price of the pie to all the things that Drake could be exposed for.
To be honest, I dont think Kendrick expected Drake to respond just like what he did with the control verse. Even when the people he called out on control responded to Kendrick he never responded back to them at all. It's almost like he did it for promos because he has a project coming. I also believe Drake has alot of dirt on Kendricks or his wife, you can tell that Drake just can't wait for Kendrick to say something so he can air it out and I think K-Dot knows it too.

I didn't mind when he used Pac's voice in TPAB, I didn't mind when he rapped from Nipsey's perspective. But then Auntie Diaries dropped and one of the defences people kept saying was he probably got his families blessing, then he did an interview and admitted he didn't. Regardless of how he's using other people's perspectives in his music, he's moving foul. We already see this in effect with Kendrick and his fans. Dot’s fans putting UNRULY pressure on Dot, to the point where if he drops a solid response mfs gonna act like it’s weak😂. I see a clear path for Drake winning this beef, purely because he has more experience in battle rapping and understanding how to manipulate the masses. The best responds factors how the person you diss reacts, I'd rather wait for relevant bars disputing the shit Drake said on his response instead of the generic "ur nose looks funni" shit Rick Ross dropped.
Drake's use of AI could also be a commentary on it. His dogs track was plagued by AI rumours it couldn't opened his eyes to the dangers and power of it.

The Joe Budden clip was out of context btw. Kendricks camp made that fast food comment. Joe himself believes Drake will win but wants to see a good battle.
I agree with Shawn for the most part but intent absolutely matters in an ethics conversation. There are literal segments of moral philosophy that are concerned with the intents of moral actions. When Kendrick uses AI of a dead person you can't just equate it with Drake using AI of a dead person without looking at the intent behind the usage.
Let the fans do what they do. Its ugly on both sides. This is what hip hop beef is. Not just between the rappers but between the fans. Talk ya shit yall we aint have entertainment like this in hip hop for a loooong time
Shawn using words like COPE and GOALPOST unironically is crazy to me. That's deadass the go to vocabulary for Drake stans. From someone who claims to be neutral and that he isnt even a fan of Drake. That was just hyping Taylors Made but in an effort to maintain the illusion of a moral highground claimed that the AI part was lame and not ok. Just cause a couple fans said Drake should stand by his diss or brought up the fact that Like That is #1 blah blah doesnt mean they represent the majority of Kendrick fans. First of all that was not meant to be taken seriously but I see sarcasm is lost on some people. No one on twitter speaks for Kendrick. He has not said anything. The same people crying about 'goalposts' were the same people that for 3 weeks said: Drake can take however long to respond cause Kendrick took 6 months to respond to FPS, Drake cant respond cause hes on tour (so was Meek) Drake cant respond cause he needs to wait for Metro second album, Drake shouldnt respond because he'd be doing Kendrick a favor. When they thought he'd respond on a feature for a Detroit rapper they said it was brilliant cause he'd be putting the city on. Then when that didnt happen it was more 'cope' as you like to say. So now after years of Kendrick taking both direct and subliminal shots Drake is ready. Cool. But last I checked the way that rap beef works is that you wait for someone to to diss you and you respond directly to that diss. But because its Kendrick he should've just had unrelated tracks ready to go. He should've had that alleged 4 year track ready to go. Drake said it and AK said it so must be true. What even is the point of a back and forth then. But if I get into the boring logistics about music taking time and how you cant rush something like this then I'm just coping. You really think Kendrick fans dont wanna hear a response now? We'd love that. But he has never been a 24-72hr turnaround type of artist. Deal with it.
that last take shawn had about mortal man was so frustrating. seems like he was forcing himself to be upset about that, and truly reaching to compare an old tupac interview used as a conversation between the two vs drake impersonating him entirely through ai. yuck.
As a CBL (certified ball licker) myself, I don't get why people think Kendrick needs defending. He's had a beloved catalog and stands on his own. If it's an L for Kendrick it's not gonna suddenly make things like "Damn" bad (JayZ got ethered and people still enjoy takeover). Drake's just using the fact that Kendrick isn't chronically online to get most of hip hop twitter to not mock him for about a month. The last time people didn't immediately clown him was the time he fl_shed everyone, so him getting a win that actually involves Drake's direct skills as an artist would be nice for his stans. Or this could be another melonhead or pusha response, but who cares so long as the music is good I'm here for it.
Fuvk the sides: Ai use is corny. Ghostwriters don’t matter. Now your voice doesn’t matter. Then what the fuck matters? No surprise hip hop will be the first music genre to be ok with this bullshit. Add in the fact that it was Ai use of a dead man, makes it even worse. I didn’t like when Kendrick used Kobe and Nips faces so I never watch the music video, but I can at least listen to the music without seeing those deepfakes. And I always skip mortal man after the actual bars cause I’m not trying to hear a pretend interview with dead pac. Shit is weird. But I think there’s definitely nuance that Shawn is ignoring. There’s different issues at hand tho. Using the likeness/ voice of a dead person = weird. Using AI images of dead people while you RAP IN YOUR VOICE with consent of family = still weird but at least you’re respecting your art form while being weird. Using the Ai voice of a dead artist as your own as a rapper to say things without contest = weird, disrespectful to your artistry, and disrespectful to the dead. I loved Push-ups but this shit was corny and him getting a pass for this is dangerous and will set up a dangerous precedent going forward

I personally think Kendrick's disses were lackluster, but saying that will automatically have me lumped in as a Drake fan because everyone assumes I'm just as biased as them.
Really? I mean, Dot attacked everything about Drake. Be it his music, his persona, the way he approaches the culture, his character and integrity as a human being, Hell, he insulted Drake's father, MENTORED HIS SON, and highlighted the crimes that some OVO members have been convicted of. Every allegation thrown at Drake himself were brutal, too.
Even if a few came off as far-fetched, the genuine hatred Kendrick expressed for Drake alone in my opinion just elevates how severe every diss felt. I don't really get how it could come off as lackluster, because this was extremely personal in every possible way.
Idk why people riding hard for one side or the other without us even hearing it play out, picking sides is always goofy

There video of it at his own concerts, it’s literally in his lyrics, and the dude was texting a 14 yr old Millie Bobby brown. And to quote her she said Drake would give her “boy advice”. Straight groomer activities. This is all one topics. One aspect. Just a price of the pie to all the things that Drake could be exposed for.
It is but I’m afraid drake is turning this rap beef into a gossip things
Hater lol
To be honest, I dont think Kendrick expected Drake to respond just like what he did with the control verse. Even when the people he called out on control responded to Kendrick he never responded back to them at all. It's almost like he did it for promos because he has a project coming. I also believe Drake has alot of dirt on Kendricks or his wife, you can tell that Drake just can't wait for Kendrick to say something so he can air it out and I think K-Dot knows it too.
Kendrick fans will move every goalpost possible and make every excuse for him there is to make. Honestly I don’t even care what response he has at this point because bro doesn’t want to prove shit. He wants to bark loud and have his fans look at him as their savior no matter what he says which is exactly what they’re doing. I really had to recognize...
I loved when Kendrick dropped Keisha's Song. I didn't have a problem when he dropped Sing About Me and admitted to using Keisha's story without permission then went on to use her sisters and his homies.
Cause either he's only getting permission from the people with name recognition (who have the power to cease and desist) or he's not getting permission from anybody.

These same people rushing dot were writing infinite hall passes for drake. Bizarre

Nah man Kendrick need to fucking drop now ain’t nobody waiting it’s boring we need disses everyday day
Fuvk the sides: Ai use is corny.
