- The RE4 Remake has gotten some BIG updates and rumors over the past few weeks. With the release of the RE4 Remake VR Mode and the RE4 Remake iPhone version, Resident Evil 4 has never been more ambitious. However, there is apparently another version of the game releasing soon. Could we see this edition before the RE5 Remake or the next Resident Evil remake drops? Or what about Resident Evil 9 as that's also rumored to be the next Resident Evil game? Let's find out...

Gold Editions usually release with some new content. As mentioned there is 1 unknown DLC still unreleased in the Steam data base. This will be the extra content available in the Gold Edition or as a DLC for those who already own the game. The new content may be a remake of Assignment Ada with Krauser as the final boss, but you play as Wesker. Why would they leave out the Krauser boss fight from Separate Ways and then show Wesker in a cut scene watching Krauser and then again at the end with Krauser dead on a table? In Assignment Ada Krauser was the final boss ... Everything is pointing towards this happening!
The og assignment ada wasn't really cannon. But that does make sense. A similar dlc of the entire game just from Weskers Perspective
As Wesker was quite often present in the game, I think it would actually make a good alternative version of Seperate Ways, going from back of castle, around the outskirts to save Ada as he realised she was infected, recovering Krausers body etc
@ashm4938 recovering krausers body would be quite interesting. As he would have to carry him and then fight off the other infected
@@ashm4938 actually Wesker didn't help Ada (or at least with the virus) in the bed scene, he took Ada's infected blood for experiments in the future (imagine if in RE5R there's a similar boss to U-3 made from that sample, could also connect to the U-8 from the original)

I play RE4 REmake at least twice a week. Love this game. Still hoping we get an Assignment Ada, PRL 412 and all unlocks DLC.

i agree, though the all unlocks dlc is the last thing i would want. doing that would invalidate all the grinding that many players had to do to get certain unlocks.

Apparently back in 2018, the creator of DMC actually said that he wants to remake DMC1. Hopefully they go through with it! A DMC remake would be awesome

Chris, Claire and Jill in Mercs, new maps in mercs, Assignment Ada and more costumes for both campaigns and mercs, No mercy mode for mercenaries, and the craziest part: an Operation Javier campaign where you play as leon and krauser.

It wouldve been so cool if they saved the lava room and swinging axe’s from original re4 for a better assignment Ada mode. It would fit perfectly since Ada is good with acrobatics. And also because she has a grappling hook. It could make a good edition to the lava room so that you would have to time it perfectly ever time you use the grappling hook.
I’m hoping the gold edition will come along side an unlock everything dlc and I’m hoping some extra costumes. I’m not really expecting any other major dlc.

I’d love to see them release a PSVR2 patch for RE2 Remake, I was worried about how RE4 would feel compared to Village with the third person actions and cutscenes but it absolutely rocks.

You what would be better for RE4 Gold Edition? Gave us the ability to play as other character in the story mode or just gave us "Wesker Report" content where we explore the village as Wesker including planting bomb on the island.

I'd like to see nightmare and inferno difficulties with swapped enemies/items/paths/etc, along with an assignment ada styled mode following Wesker's part throughout the RE4 story. I'd also like to see a few new guns added, Wesker's inox vertec 92, the OG samurai edge, krauser's bow, etc. Maybe some new games for the shooting range, too. These would be fairly easy additions to make to extend the lifespan of the game while they're working on RE9, and the remakes of RE5 and CV.
They might extend the map or add more characters for Mercenaries and add more side story DLCs. See what they did in previous titles like RE7, Village and RE5
They will probably add new campaign options. RE5 gold edition has Lost in Nightmares, so maybe RE4 gold will probably have operation Javier since people have been asking for that for a long time...

I want the RE Outbreak Series redone. Think they don't get enough credit and don't get enough lights shown on them often enough. Massive possibility for online play too but might be a bit ambitious

Imagine if in the RE:CV Remake we get another Hunk survivor story or maybe even a Separate Ways style campaign DLC since this game is where we see Hunk’s lore expanded upon most. I really want a standalone mercenaries game based on this one’s Mercs mode. Like keep adding new characters and maps as dlc. They tried something like that on 3DS and to me that doomed it to begin with. Let’s get a full console version.

That's true but I think that people are hoping that Capcom will add something like the PRL laser from the OG RE4 or even some other extra unlockable. I still find it weird that we haven't gotten that weapon in the remake yet
i feel like assignment ada could be added cause wesker says only 60% of the island was in tact at the end of separate ways.
I would want Assignment Ada since the version I had didn't came with it on PS2 so I could never play it, an escape from the island with Luis with limited resources that truly feel like survival horror or an extension of how Wesker got the plaga sample. Playing as Krauser is also cool but I can't imagine what the plot would be other than maybe a flashback of the operation javier.
In a perfect world, I'd love another character or two in Mercenaries mode, but RE4R is at the end of the line now and Capcom needs to focus on what's next. Unlock all wouldn't do anything for me as I unlocked all myself, but good to see the game have such a success.
Would be nice to get classic Leon and Ashley costumes, plus Assignment Ada and the laser weapon that can't remember the name of.

I don't think that the gold edition will include something new, more or less like the village; we will simply get the main game and Separate Ways, and those extra costumes, weapons, soundtrack, etc.
Eventually, the 'unlock all' DLC, like with RE 2 and 3 remakes.
If I had some higher expectations that we would get something new with it, it would be Assignment Ada (and I highly doubt that because the locations that we got to explore there, like the lab, that big elevator, etc., we got in Separate Ways in the remake when in the original we never got to explore the lab and some other areas present in it).
On the other hand, seeing how much time was spent making Separate Ways for the remake, MAYBE eventually there's hope for Operation Havier. After all, even in the Darkside Chronicles, it wasn't a big and long campaign, even if we count the fact that it was a rail shooter game. So getting this mode for roughly the same price as Separate Ways, and it being almost as long or slightly longer than that would work.

My guess is the same. We might get a first person version, since the VR one feels a bit out of place moving in and out from first person. It could possibly fix that for VR and add the 10. Reason why we could replay the game ;)

I would just be happy with an unlock everything for RE4R. I found it very useful in my third Leon run in RE2R. I got the separate ways and mercinsries add on for RE4R. I'd love to see a code veronica remake or an outbreak 1 and 2 bundle remake in all honesty.

RE 5 was the first one to get a gold edition that I know of, also 7&8 so... No surprise there. I still wish we could get DLC to see maybe what Luis was doing behind the scenes, which would be awesome I think 🤔, but I'm looking forward to the next remake, either 5 or CV, whichever comes first, 5 is definitely coming, they clearly teased it in the 4 remake

"They are a good company" Did we all suddenly forget they ignored fan demand for remakes for decades, and that it took the "cease and desist" of a fan remake to light a fire under their asses for them to start this trend? Or how about that rushed RE3 Remake? Capcom has it's good moments, but more often than not they just throw darts at a board and see what sticks.
I hope it comes with an unlock all. I’m good but not S+ on a new play though good and I want infinite ammo 😭 also I hope they have Ada’s classic dress and Assignment Ada.
It’s probably something insignificant like you said, probably an unlock all DLC. What I’m excited though is for the announcement of RE9 which according to Dusk Golem, should be announced early 2024 and come out early 2025, just a few months away if true! 🤞

The vr mode is incredible it makes great use of the psvr2 haptic feedback was great and re village is almost a must play village is also a must play psvr2 thats if you just picked up a psvr2.

It would be cool if they added some more stages to The Mercenaries. Maybe add some new characters. Seems like they could just pull some models from some previous games and make some new playable characters for Mercenaries mode.

Only thing I think they could add that I’d buy is more outfits for the characters, I’d like them to add a few more features to the game like interchangeable hair from outfits as accessories so I could use Leon’s romantic hair on his normal shirt outfit for instance, and also having the mercenaries and separate ways weapons as unlockables for the main game, like Weskers M9 handgun and Ada’s knives

Something I've thought about is maybe a multi-player mod think about it we got one with village and re3 remake I don't think we got one for re2 remake but it looks like they could be keeping a multi-player mod with each title remake/release.
More weapons added would be a nice touch for the campaigns as bonus weapons.
I faced palmed myself for thinking that supporting RE remakes would bring content to sequels and Revelations and possibly Outbreak, but no, it's just more remakes... So, now I'm stuck because if fans don't support RE remakes, then the franchise could probably dry up and that would suck. I really don't want to support RE remakes if that is all we are going to get. This really sucks. I need a Resident Evil 9 trailer to get my brain out of this slump.

I was planning to buy this gold edition just for the leon RPD uniform that need to unlock by getting S+ rank on all characters from the mercenary mode after a week of trying i finally got it.. but if thers gonna be something new i may still consider buying the gold edition
Now we need a Nemesis Edition to the RE 3 Remake and add everything they cut and Make Nemesis actually the Stalker he was meant to be an that we deserved. Also that Licker Nemesis Just make it the Super liker they cut from Re 2 Remake so Nemesis can go through all his forms. I honestly wish the guys that Made Re 2R and RE 4R made Re 3R cause it woulda been done right. An yes they where the same team for 2 and 4 and an different one for Re 3. Re one still the best remake cut nothing but add to it. Don't get me wrong I loved playing RE 3 Remake it just has so much more potential that they missed. To start off like 6 areas cut a Boss Gravedigger the Choices and at least 5 monster types if you don't Count the Hunter Gamma that are not Chicken armed Mouths even though they where cool an it even said they where not regular Hunter Gammas in story notes.

If Capcom really wants to make money, they need to release the VR versions on PC. I'll pay for every game in full again to see them at ACTUAL maxed settings in VR.

Im satisfied with everything we got story wise...The Seperate Ways DLC sealed the deal for me....I would like to see one more level/map added to the Mercenaries mode, and a hardcore Mercaneries mode where the enemies are doubled... Well see what unfolds in the upcoming weeks....
i love this game so much. there is so much to explore i find something new everytime I've played.
Seems like Wesker took some classes from Dante ( devil may cry ) I believe this is the game that basically started the devil may cry series ( someone wanted to keep it like basically , zombies and other people wanted to go into other stuff, like witchcraft etc -and that’s how devil may cry came out if I’m not mistaken )

They add a down on D pad button that lets you use the sniper rifles in 3rd person or something
Lets hope Capcom include all the dlc on the actual disc and not just give us a crappy dlc coupon. They usually have done this with every releases but for some reason for village they didn't include it on the disc at least for the ps4 and ps5 versions anyway.
