I accidentally played it backwards but you get the idea. #radiohead #edobrien #thatpedalshow #amsp #amoonshapedpool #artrock #sounddesign #sounddesign #pedalboard #guitarpedals #patchbay #patchbaypedalboard #pedalboardpatchbay #impressionist #impressionistmusic #dreamymusic #noisemusic #noiserock #ambient #ambientbass #queermusic #queermusician #transguitarist #transmusician #queerguitarist
man I've been down the synthesizer rabbit hole, I've been down the modular rabbit hole but I've yet to go down the pedal rabbit hole...but I keep watching videos and building a pedal board in my mind I think I'm going to have to take the leap soon
you should use this website to plan it pedalplayground.com
and if rerouting pedal order is a thing you want to do, make sure to plan for incorporating a patchbay!
GearSounds is a great place to start. That dude is WILD with pedals! www.youtube.com/@GearSounds/videos
In case you're interested in going down the synth AND guitar synth rabbit hole also. This guy focuses on guitar synths and combines pedals together in a crazy way.
I’ve also got the DOD rubberneck, I love that thing
Thanks for the demonstration man, I went back to Eds pedal show appearance recently as i wanted to try this out. I dont want to do this tune but im thinking i could apply it to my own thing.
Kid: I wanna write songs like Dave Knudson!
Mom: We have Dave Knudson at home.
Dave Knudson at home:
the only bear I listen to is Grizzly Bear
Ha!!!!! Very well done
Uso dl4 a 12 anos, aprendi fazer isso com a banda, minus the bear, muito bom.
hahahahha niceeeeeeee!!! can you try an replicate the beginning of daydreaming ?
I wish I knew how they made that part… it’s always been a mystery to me
The beginning of Daydreaming on the album is an altered recording of various piano and mallet percussion instruments playing chords and notes, running through delay FX and such. The first few sounds you hear mimic an LP speed up or a tape stuttering, but it's just one chord. If only we knew what plug-in they used to do that!! When they do it live, it's Phil's bells and Jonny's piano being sampled live and manipulated forwards and backwards. (Also this video is great, by the way.)
@@DanandJoeMusicinteresting, i’ll look into!
Does the mkii looper mode ever screw around with you and do things it shouldn’t have?
I sold the dl4 for an echosystem soon after I made the video, so I don’t have much experience with it
Wha
Ed demonstrates exactly how he does this in this video: ua-cam.com/video/YK4Fmrlqz3I/v-deo.html
that’s where I learned it!
Do you get much use out of the Tensor?
tbh that’s one of three pedals on my board that I’ve barely used, I haven’t quite had my “moment” with it
@@Mooncapemusic I'm sure you'll have your "moment". it's maybe my favorite device ever.
Gee, that’s annoying, lol
Wah wah
It’s not a sound meant to be listened on its own… it’s an embellishment to an already perfect song. You should try and listen to it and find it in the song, I bet you won’t find it annoying 😅
@@estebanrodriguez1175 It might sound better through a wah wah, yeah 😉 … and lashings of reverb … ☺️
cringe.
based.
@@Mooncapemusic thanks uwu.
No wonder their music sounds rubbish since the 2000s
womp womp
if you can honestly listen to an album like 'in rainbows' and call that rubbish.....well then i'd say you have shit taste in music lol
This gotta be rage bait
amen in rainbows might be worst album OAT
@@trevor4835 you are trying too hard
