Great video of an introduction to Cairo! I’m now currently watching your whole Egypt playlist and planning my trip here whilst I’m supposed to be working 😂👍🏼
Despite the extra cost you should have the hotel/hostel to arrange a taxi to pick you up at the airport and deliver you to the door. On your first day of arrival. Way easier
Hey Michael, I like that you are trying to figure things out by yourself, but I would also be smart about everything you do and say in Egypt, keep in mind that every 10 people you meet in Egypt, 3 of them might take advantage of you once they figure out that you are not from here, 4 people will not help you because they either can't speak English or don't know how to help and can't communicate that, and 3 people will genuinely help you and speak a little or very good English. Just always remember that Egypt is a country of 100 million people, with struggling economy and standard of living, so if people are able to take advantage of you just to make a couple of easy bucks, they would do it and not care, also keep in mind that police in Egypt isn't very good, you can't rely on being able to go to the police if something happens, that's why you need to be careful with what you do. I hope you are able to enjoy it, you probably already went through all of that already since this video is 3 weeks ago. I know doing this to get content is good, but be very careful man.
I really appreciate your comment. Thanks for looking out man! Thankfully, I haven’t felt any danger in Egypt so far, but you’re right about that. There are many people who do try and take advantage. So far everything has been great 😁
In Algeria, everyone is hospitable and generous with tourists and strangers. You can even get free help, companionship, and protection. When I watch videos about scammers in Egypt, I am amazed. How can a person reach this degree of decadence? It is painful, especially since they are Muslims. How do they do that? Contrary to the teachings of Islam, which call for taking care of guests, honoring them, and not harming them, Egypt is indeed a strange country.
From my personal experience, there are many amazing Egyptian people I have met. The ones that work in anything related to tourism, (taxis, tourist attractions, someone selling you something, etc) not so much lol.
@@michaelmaams7103 Yes, there are many wonderful and polite people in Egypt, I know some of them, I have Egyptian friends, but what caught my attention is that the Egyptian authorities are very lenient with swindlers. I spent the past three nights watching clips of different tourists making videos, they visited Egypt, all the videos appear in it Many swindlers cling to the tourist and disturb him and do not leave him. Violating people's privacy is a very bad thing. I read many comments in the videos of people complaining about the actions of Egyptian swindlers and stressing that they will never return to Egypt. See how they abused Egypt and gave an ugly picture. about her. I really feel sorry for that
ALWAYS hire a local guide who speaks English, when you travel countries whose native language isn't English. You should have someone to bail you out if you get into any kind of trouble. Do not take any chances in countries like these.
About the not finished construction....its all becouse taxes. You not pay if you not finish yet. And about that guy who grab your hand. Its not about sex. Its normal behavior in Egypt. Nice video.
It’s Lebanese dialect. That’s why they don’t understand me and I don’t understand them. On top of that, my Arabic is very minimal so it doesn’t help at all haha
I live in Korea and your first taxi driver sounds just like a type of Korean middle aged men, his confidence. But the taxi drivers are often older here.
@@michaelmaams7103 the people there have stopped worshiping God and started worshiping money they will treat you so nice all the way to the end and when you don't put your hand in your pocket and pull out what they want you to pull out then you will see the demon inside that has always been hiding these people have gone astray from the straight path they are not Muslims at all thank God they call themselves Egyptians because Muslims know better never to do any kind of trickery or usery so I'm sorry for what the Egyptians do to the Tourists

That cab driver was hilarious. Was telling the cleaner to go and fly after he gave him the cigarettes 😂😂
This is where we parked our private car back in 1986 - do you remember kids?! I am talking to you, Sacha and Nala.
The man hits the child and says hello Canada😂😂 They are simple human beings. I wish them a decent life.
