Bring the road America 4 hour race back!!! It was awesome going to those races every year knowing the racing would always be great and really close!!

This type of racing is so much better than NASCAR I don’t know why it isn’t mkfe popular.
2nd place had an open cockpit. Was it in a different class than 1st place? The cars looked pretty even to me.

@@javiersilva1577they were both lmp1s, if you want something like this, then watch peugeot vs audi from 2007-2010

@@javiersilva1577 I think back then lmp2 had both open cockpit and closed cockpit entries. Unlike now where they are basically the exact same, with the same engine. Especially now that the series basically devolved into an oreca 07 one make series. This was definitely the golden era of lmp2, when the cars actually felt different from each other and had different engines. I wish open cockpit prototypes would come back, but it probably never will for safety reasons.

Thanks for the info. F1 cars are open cockpits but now they have the halo. Maybe LMH cars could adopt that if they ever want to do open cockpits again

FlyingTrains 1 Now they sound like vacuum cleaners. Sports car racing will be dead once the Corvette and Porsche get rid of their engines too.

That's a really horrible future. I hope vette's get to keep there v8's same for Mercedes and McLaren and the V10's in the huracan and r8. Why would they touch prosche's GTLM V6 though? because it sounds better now?! what assholes!

Yup, crazy how the cars back then were so different yet so competitive while todays cars are so regulated and plagued by BOP that there isn't anything that lets them stand out like the older cars.

Me, a NFS Shift professional: wtf why don't someone just speed off and get past these slow ass cars?
    (Its a damn joke ok)
