  • We recently visited Patrick Long, Porsche Factory Racing Driver, at Wisconsin's Road America for the track's first Tudor United SportsCar Championship race. Road America is fast, exhilarating, challenging, and four miles long - a combination that makes it a favorite venue for professional and amateur drivers alike. Armed with in-car footage of one of Patrick's practice laps in the #912 Porsche 911 RSR, we sat down with him to find out how to drive a fast, safe lap. Fortunately, he was happy to help us out!

Very good video, not long, didn’t leave anything out for the casual observer, didn’t give us useless dribble. Very well done.

Great, really great tutorial. Used it for a semi-pro simulator event, managed to improve my consistency and lap times thanks to this. I won the damn race, and I was sure this will be the toughest race for me in this esports championship as this track was my nemesis for a long time. Thanks! Too bad I haven't checked this out earlier, it's been here a while...

Great points on how to drive this track. Only thing is, stock car suspensions cannot handle the curbs, at least not easily. So nip at those but mostly stay off of them.

Love this! Thanks for sharing! If I ever get on track I will definitely utilize these techniques, also the ones I’ve learned completing Grand Turizmo 1,2,3,4 & 5, Forza 3, & 4 starting back in the early 1990,s. This is by far one of my favorite tracks if not my favorite because it’s local & a real possibility to drive my Tempest on(Hopefully soon). Been wanting to actually drive it like this since the early 1990,s. Excited!!
