- This season's conclusion brought some great story moments, but also more questions. Savathun tells us we already have what we need to enter the portal. Ikora says we just need to “figure out what shape it took”. Today we are going to speculate with what we’ve got. Why won’t Savathun just straight up help? She wants the same thing as we do. What is the pattern revealed to us? And are the ahamkara and 15th wish involved? Let’s discuss.

Savathun tells us “she’s already shown us how to enter the portal”. Ikora explains we just need to learn what shape it’s taken. Something that can change shape? Ahamkara come to mind right away being shapeshifters themselves. Savathun clearly still has a plan beyond that of the light (giving up immaru) and this heirloom may be the key. Is the heirloom related to the Veil? Awoken Or even Ahamkara?

I think it’s Savathun Transforming out of that Crystal she was in. She transformed from the darkness to the light. That’s what I think she means. Eris transformed into a hive god. Now I think the guardian must transcend to enter the portal.
Um, what if Ikora was just using a figure of speach? The lore tab shows Ikora's full convosation with Savathûn and she didn't say it was something that could change shape, so Ikora might have just phrazed it that way to express "we have to figure out what this secret Savathûn showed us is."
Well what if it's not something physical that has shape, but a lie that savathun has woven that we just haven't cracked yet? Or some deception by her. A lie can take the form of truth and vice versa
I think it's the power of Deepsight since the realm beyond the traveler has much to do with memory it seems
I wished the cutscenes would have shown savathuns resurrected again and then the whole convo afterwards.
Bungie is just a small indie company, that would take too much effort and they don't want to over deliver to us

believe or not I predicted this season, defiance wasn’t worth trying to guess because when it’s over I could take predictions for next three seasons, defiance was picking ourselves back up and showing we can fight back, then as predicted deep was learning and understanding our enemy, then of course this season was learning how to get through it he portal, and finally next season will be allowing ourselves to go through the portal because as stated by Bungie as soon as we start the Final Shape campaign we will be going through the portal, boom
In the Final Shape teaser trailer, Ikora is explaining what Cayde has missed and then says "I *wish* you could've been there" and then he is. Something to think about
One thing I noticed: The Ahamkara Illusion is NOT an illusion of Riven. If you look at the "face", the horn patterns are different.
So we know it's an Illusion of an Ahamkara, but another one that Savathun may have seen outside the dreaming city
Maybe the 15th Wish cleanses the egg and we get a newborn dragon who grants the wish to follow the Witness
That makes so much sense. Hidden Dossier once again explains your logic. The thing that always seems to break the pattern. Wishing.

Perhaps we have one more hurrah with Riven as she was wished under Savathun's control by Savathun. And she never really died at the end of Last Wish. Her power was much more contained by the Techeuns "for the sake of plans to come."
The parent universe isn't the Pale Heart, it's the real world. After the 999 power solo run of Shattered Throne was completed, Savathun was able to enter the real world to some effect.
True. It's a recurring theme we also saw in Marathon, to escape the universe and become a God. She knows she is in a game.
That key looking thing is STILL my best candidate for what is required to enter the Portal. And it is on the Witnesses Pyramid Ship.

Black holes. Vex simulations. Ahamkara. Manipulations of Hive tribute. So our answer must involve all four of those.
Ahamkara willingly seek destruction in order to be taken as trinkets by Guardians. You must know this. You've tried to exploit those trinkets as thoroughly as the other factions. But do you understand the metaphysics behind their desire?
I do. I once wished to know more about Ahamkara. Wish granted.
Ahamkara believe that by transforming themselves, by metamorphosing from monsters into treasures, they become more real. More important ontologically. It is the gap between reality as is and reality as desired that they feed on, Arach. And Guardians are the richest, finest source of reality as desired that they have ever met.
What have Ahamkara artifacts ever done but instill delusions of grandeur? A solipsistic madness: "I am more real than what surrounds me"?
Why is this?
The skulls of dire Ahamkara speak to me. They know I want to know the truth, and so they whisper to me of a path they climb. They call it the Anathematic Arc.
They are going somewhere. Somewhere they consider more real. Guardians are part of how they get there.
What if Savathûn wants to go there too?

I think what Ikora means when she says what shape it’s taken is just simply what it is and not that it can literally change shape.
So theory, there are 2 possible theories i have. Savathun still feels the need to throw us off as she has her agenda. Savathun believes that if she reveals where this way to enter is, the witness will find out and find a way to stop us from getting to it.
Immaru could be the key. Savathun literally gave it to us right then and there and its a trick because she said we can crush it if we wanna but then we'd crush our way into the Portal. So its a dilemma.
I don't think Immaru is related to the portal in any way. Immaru, rather, is a bargaining chip, similar to how the Spider is also a bargaining chip. His purpose is to allow Savathun to walk free and do what she wants, but if she steps out of line, they can kill Immaru and sever her connection to the light.

@@lordpumpkinhead265 actually if you think about it, the Witness only got to do its thing AFTER our ghost made a link by going up to the veil, my guess is Immaru is being offered as a sacrifice to establish a link
It’s important to note that the whole “now we just have to find out what shape it’s taken” is ambiguous. Ikora doesn’t specify whether she’s referring to the portal taking shape or the secret hints taking shape. Just saying this because there’s a chance the portal isn’t anything “taking shape” at all, even though “taking shape” is a phrase that means a heck of a lot in Destiny, especially with concern to the FINAL shape.

Bit of a hot take, but imagine we get to a certain part of the final shape story line and it's revealed that cayde-6 is a spy for the witness and we end up having to take him out or that he is the witness in disguise. I say that last one because I don't believe we have seen the witness in any off the final shape trailers. Idk would be interesting

Personally i believe its the veil
1. We have it and she showed us it.
2. Its what made strand appeared which can change shape and form
3. The witness used it to create the portal and go through.
Wouldnt it be cool that the reason why she left was to prepare an army to fight the witness like if we had an endgame sort of thing.
I think that would be cool because since d1 the kell, hive, and cabal all been enemies but now we have settled our differences fought for each other and have the same goal. So when we go to confront the witness they come to support us, i think the vangard would follow us but one after another gets distracted like having to hold off enemies.
What if the new Ahamkara became a guardian? That lore card did say we guardians are the richest and finest source of reality as desired ever met. It would make sense that one would become a guardian or perhaps a ghost to guide a guardian, maybe even our ghost?
Savathun knows about us, the players right? She's spoken to us through *Twitter - that would make us the 'parent' universe wouldn't it?
IN terms of the 'shape' or 'form' of what we're looking for, I think you're being to literal - I don't think Ikora means it changes form, she just doesn't know what we're looking for, so that item could take any form, figuratively speaking. Considering we have access to the Imbaru Engine, which seems to be a giant puzzle box, I would say whatever it is, is in there somewhere
I bet we have already meet the dragon, it guarded savathuns worm in that forgotten tempel in the witchqueen campain mission. And we were pritty close to kill it off too 😂

I have a general theory I'll admit it has points that seem unconnected when looked as distinct factors. There has been a long theory that the Worms Gods and the Ahamkara are evolutionarily related but aside from some paracausal nature we haven't really found a hard point of connection yet, but i purpose this, Imbaru is part of the nature the Ahamkara used for their paracausal minipulation. Point one what is the main difference between the simple cunning Savathun's worm fed on and Imbaru from a serface level not much beyond potencey for the nature of tithing to Savathun, but when you look at all the little nuances Imbaru looks closer to "Bomb Logic" if simple cunning would have been the "Sword Logic". Sword is all about TAKING and leaving only behind an unstoppable force, Bomb is about taking all those scraps Sword shaves away and turning it into something greater that can contain Sword until the moment to strike by GIVING it a new form. Now who is to say that it wasn't an ancestory of both the Ahamkara and the Worms that didn't originally gave the Awoken a means to travel to the Dreaming city and then later to the Reef/Earth. The question comes what did The Awoken wish for that caused them to be expelled into the Dreaming City as it seems pretty clear that while the Awoken claim they have no desire to return to the Distrubitary in reality they currently can't return, and this could have been the monkey's paw of that wish in the Distributary was to banish them leaving it safe haven for the one that granted the wish by ensuring that the only ones that knew how to return couldn't. Such a creature if this idea is on the right track would certainly have the means to follow the Witness through the portal and bring anyone it wanted with it. Savathun probably got this knowledge after her deal with Riven, but thanks to Imbaru only she actually knew she had figured it out and has left us clues to follow the path she has led for us. Clue one was the Ahamkara and the Distributary. Clue two was her gaining the power of Light on top of what she already had from the darkness through Hive magic and her limited ability to Take. Clue three was the Veil showing us Dark and Light are unquestionably linked(which Asher helps prove with his time amongst the Vex network), Clue Four we already had been shown what it takes to get there. So my thoughts is we are using the egg Mara had so close to Savathun, or we are using Riven's heart to act as a catalyst since the people that became the Witness had one wish to see the final shape of the universe when darkness and light were reunited, and we are already wishing for a way to follow the Witness while we already hold both Light and Dark, with the power to GIVE life, and TAKE freedom with our powers, So we just need to be able to make a potent enough wish but we might not be able to return if we don't understand the true shape of the wish we need to make.

I do hope Savathun becomes a reluctant ally from here on out. We already have the Fallen and Cabal on our side, having a Hive ally would be great. Since Savathun is so much different than her kind, even her siblings.
I think it's a cool idea how once they were our enemies but now they are vital allies.

I got an idea, and this might be a long shot, but: Deepsight. We've got the ability to create platforms seemingly out of thin air, why not the ability to create a passage into the portal?
What if it's something to do with the enclave relic? We are trying to find the "shape" of something, and there have been a lot of "patterns" this season.
What if the heirloom is something we craft, to make into our heirloom? And said heirloom may let us through the extra spacial portal.

It’s Immaru all along. The witness used the good ghost to make the link. Now they have to use bad ghost to make the other side of the link. It means they need to bring Immaru back to the veil where they defeated Calus and make the link as well. But instead of going to the traveller they have to first enter the veil and then acquire the new dark subclass. The subclass the witness is using. They have to be dark like the witness to enter using the witness’s gate. If this is true then citizens of neptune might be needed as well.

If it is a wish I'd agree with savathuns cryptic answer. Those wishes are monkeys pawed so just telling us to wish would end really horribly.
My question is: does the witness know of Ahamkara dragons? I would assume so because they were already aware of Ahsa’s species and wanted to use them for more power. So how come the witness did not go after the Ahamkaras given how powerful they are. How did most of the dragons even go extinct given their power and strength?

Im highly suspicious of "pattern" and "shape" as those are terms in game for crafting and in game we use memory to shape weapons in one of the witch queens cutscenes we "shape" savathuns worm or rather her old worm. What if we "shape" the corrupted ahamkara egg to no longer have corruption? Basically, using the eggs memory the reverse corrupt it. Then, hatch it and have it grant the wish of giving us the abelites to go through the portal.

The thing that savathun and the witness have in comman from my understanding is teh ability to be someone else. The witness is literally the sum of an entire species and savathun could become someone else though she needed his body to do it.

Well w the Citadel map coming back to PVP and the DC map back to Gambit it's a safe bet to assume that the Awoken/DC will be at the center of next season, w how powerful Mara Sov is o don't not see her being a vital part to the last part of the story leading into the FS

Savathun wants to find a way into our universe, since Destiny is a child universe of our own. She would accomplish this possibly by having someone Mantle her (any Elder Scrolls fans probably know the term/idea), but she hasnt accomplished this yet so she doesnt want the Witness to win and wipe the universe clean because then she wouldnt exist and couldnt fulfill her plans. If she actively engaged the Witness it would keep her from fulfilling her real plan too.
As for how to get through the portal I think we need to look at the Witness and the pyramids it took with it through it. The pyramids sort of "dissolved", became formless, much like how the Witness is typically, it could be that when Eris learned to change her shape/form that process and not the results itself will be the method to travel through the portal. The Ahamkara can shapeshift too essentially making them abke to be formless
