I was going through a divorce when I first came across the "Mitosis, mitosis!" song. It was after what I thought would be a long, uncomfortable dinner. My wife and I ate a rotisserie chicken in silence. After 4 minutes and 42 seconds we heard a noise that sounded something like Gibby from iCarly from our upstairs. Upon hearing this graceful noise I sprinted up the stairs following the path of the noise until I approached the guest bedroom. As I stood outside I could feel the sweat on my palms. I did not know how the lord Thine Gibby would take my presence. I opened the door slowly but confidently and shirtless Gibby looked into my soul and without saying one word aligned the discrete sonic resonance of my body with the sound waves coming from the Mitosis Mitosis! song. In that very moment my earthly body shattered to one million pieces and from the shards came a new, slightly improved version of me. The song had impregnated me with the holy spirit and gave unto me a new skin to call mine own. I dissolved through the floor because I can do that now and I looked into my wife's eyes. Immediately the air went still... Literally still... No atoms were moving... We had reached absolute zero kelvin... Everything was still except for the soundwaves that still blew upon our ears. In the next moment, we were old and had a successful dynasty that aged 23 generations of glorious bountiful kids all shirtless and all filled with the spirit of thy lord Gibby. one of the wirdest teachers ive ever had showed us this in the seventh grade, its been more than four years and i still remember the lyrics, it took me a while to find it
My bio teacher showed our class this in 8th grade, I’m in college now and I still get this song stuck in my head whenever the professor says mitosis. i hate it.
My little sister is finally learning about cells so I looked up this video again to sent it to her science teacher. Hopefully she'll , the teacher, will torture the class with it.
I first saw this in 7th grade biology class. I am now a senior in high school and tomorrow I take my AP Biology exam. This is one of the only things I'm using to study.
OH MY GOODNESS! I've been looking for this FOREVER, ever since I watched it two years ago in Science! Never ever forgot this. That video was crazier than a Bill Nye! How'd you ever get a hold of this?! Man, that girl can't sing, dance, or come up with lyrics. *cracks up* Thank you so much! 5'd and fav'd!
REST IN PEACE MRS. KIRKWOOD FROM BELL INTERMEDIATE in GARDEN GROVE, CA! Amazing 7th grade science teacher that passed away when I was in the 8th grade from a bicycling accident. 💕
I watched this in 6th grade. You have no idea how long I’ve been looking for this video when all I had to look up was the chorus this whole fuckin time.

I just realized the lady on the left in the very beginning is Dr Bailey from greys anatomy.
Its like i just cant look away.
If you track the movements of her moving back and forth it'll probably look like a 1 year old drawing

I'm not sure how old this video is, but it's OLD. I watched it back in 2001, and it was archaic and trashy even back then.
