First of all, yasssss! I will be making this. That ombré works up so awesome with this pattern. Secondly, I watch too many of your videos. My 4 year old just started humming along with your music intro 😂😅🤣😆
Oh my goodness Fiber Spider, that was quick! It's only a week ago that you asked if anyone would be interested in a square blanket version of this lovely blanket! You really are amazing and so very good to us. Thank you so, so much.
I dont mean to be offtopic but does anybody know a tool to get back into an instagram account?? I somehow forgot my account password. I appreciate any tips you can give me!
@Brady Torin Thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and im trying it out now. I see it takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Allrighty...I ❤️ this one so much,it s just like you sad,it's a kind of mindfulness to crochet this project. And I ❤️ the way you are doing this, including all of of your crocheting video's.The way you chat with us,your calm and kind voice is guiding us through the project. This is about the 6th project of yours that I'm making and this one won't absolutely not be the last one. So, dear Fiber Spider, please continue the good work and in my opinion, you are one of my favorites!! Greets and hugs from the Netherlands🤗😘
Just in time! Not two hours ago I was looking at our footstool and decided that it needs a cover. Poor thing isn't that pretty anymore. And this pattern is perfect! Thank you very much!!! 😀
This Canadian gal started the rectangle version of this the other day. In the comment section I mentioned that a square blanket would be outstanding & OMG here it is. Now I can hardly wait to try this. Its just so easy & fun to do...................thanks once again for all your amazing tutorials
You're right, it is a mindful/less pattern. I generally prefer a 1 or 2 row repeat, but figured a 3 row repeat would exercise this 70 year old brain (which they say we need). I've gone through 2 or 3 tutorials trying to find the one I wanted to work on next. After almost ripping it out & looking at it several times, you won--I'm going with this one. I'll let you know if I perservered.
I love all your videos and tutorials! You make things out of yarn that people can afford and is easy to take care of. I have been watching a number of podcasts and am getting very tired of the fancy smancy yarn they use (marino, alpaca, camel etc.) It all costs way to much and you have to hand wash and lay flat to dry. Who has the time for all that? Thanks again for being so down to earth, kind and talented and sharing your talent with us all. Oh ya... and enabling us all to be distracted and knit or crochet. lol! Your the best!
You are an amazing teacher❤️, when you were in row three. I was thinking 🤔 there is no way I can do this , by the time you got to row seven , I finished it by myself! THANK YOU! making a small one with left over yarn ❤️🌈
... okay I need to say this. I've been crocheting just 2 months over a year. I've been so frustrated lately with making anything I just rip it out and start something new and the cycle of it again begins. I come to Craig and I've found this. Thank you so much for the inspiration on getting something going. Also, I find this one easier then the rectangle one, I'm not getting lost as much!!
Half way through my rectangle one.. I don’t usually do squares but I’m so in love with this stitch and the pretty way the centre and corners radiate out on the square one that baby blankets in this square pattern are on my agenda next. Thanks Craig. My stitch hero as always 🥰
You are such an amazing tutorialist ( is that a word?) Thank you for always being so patient and sharing your knowledge! You have definitely improved my crochet skills- and I was stuck on novice for 30+ years
Just finished a Pocket Shaw. Saw your post and grabbed my RH Ombre in orange and started this fantastic blanket. Your voice is so soothing and makes for a relaxing crochet time. Love your crochet alongside. 😍😍😍❤️🌈🇺🇸
Loving this tutorial!! Instead of a blanket, I made covers for my dining room chairs. The cushions are pleather and have seen better days. (They are omg, so sad!) This worked up quickly and beautifully and I crocheted some cords to tie all four corners down. Thank you for yet another fantastic video!
So beautiful!! This stitch and square are really stunning! Definitely a design I would love to make! Your work is so awesome and your videos are the easiest and most comprehensive to follow! Thank you for all the hard work you put into creating your designs and for posting them on UA-cam! I've been a member of the Fiber Spider community for years now and you're far and away one of my very favorites!! Thanks for all you do for us!!! 👍❤️😻 Char from Phoenix 🌵🌅🏜️
THANK YOU FOR A GREAT PATTERN AND INSTRUCTION on how to crotchet this blanket. As I am still learning crotchet you do speak a little fast for my mind to get around what your doing. So I turn the speed down. Just love you blogs and tutorials. Love from Australia. 🇦🇺🇦🇺
Totally awesome and adaptable pattern. I decided to turn after every row after the first one, only did half of the corner space, went around and did the other half of the corner stitch and hdc to join. I always finished and started in the corner. So far it’s great.
I have made two baby blankets with this pattern....you are right ...just enough repetitions And mindful stitches to make it fast but not at all boring. Thank you for a great tutorial. I used Caron Cotton Cakes
I love your videos. You may just be my favorite crocheter on UA-cam. I do have two slight modifications for this though. On the front post stitches, you can do a treble instead for the height and on the corners, you can do only half of the corner to start to avoid the slip stitches which can come out messy with variegated or ombré yarn
🎉Beautiful texture!💖🖒🖒 I found it easier to use fptr around the new lonely dc stitches. It allows me to crochet a little faster, and I don't have to worry about the fp being too short and then my beautiful square not laying flat properly.😆 Lion Brand Big Scoop Ice Cream yarn works really nice with this as would any ombré yarn or a solid color yarn. Each one would highlight the texture nicely!🌻
Doing the corded corner shell stitch and #7 had me going then I remembered you said a three roll repeat and don't forget the 8 count...so now doing well with it...enjoy your tutirials
This blanket is really nice. I'm using a caron cakes yarn, and it is coming out beautifully. I had to keep going over rows 6 and 7. I'm left-handed, and it can be confusing to watch right handed crocheters work. But I can pick it up after a couple of times. Thanks for sharing ❤😊.
This is a fabulous quick working pattern. I found since I crochet a little tight that using an extended FPDC works great to keep it from buckling. Thank for another great pattern!
Love it! And it is easy once you get in the groove! Made the rectangular version for baby blanket & now making the square for another baby blanket. Thank you!!!!
Omg im seeing this at the perfect time!! I just found out my best friend is pregnant so I’m going ham on making her stuff for her baby this would be perfect for a baby blanket !! Edit: ps I love your videos! I actually learned how to crochet from your channel back in March and I’m so happy I found your channel and learned to crochet!! (I was very ambitious and tried to do the virus shawl like right away but I only ever got the first 4 rows done ;-;)
I love this pattern!! I’ve just started with a Caron cotton cake in green grapevine! It’s really fun and cool looking!! You’re so awesome fiber spider!
I loved this pattern♥️. Thank you for clear and concise instructions! It’s a lovely pattern, I’m on my second baby blanket, it goes pretty fast! Thanks again

I can’t wait to try this one. I’m currently working on the Glorious Granny. I really like that one. I’m making it for a Christmas present. That was a suggested video.
That's a creative blanket . Love the design. Will have to put this on my list to do . I did one like this but it was a v stitch pattern. I used Colgated light color yarn it came out beautifully.
I didn't like crochet videos until I found Fiber Spider. His voice is so soothing and he is so patient, I just love making his projects.

I almost scrolled by as it looked beyond my skill set . Thank you for another doable project 🥰
Love this pattern series. This blanket is beautiful in the ombré. Your tutorials are so awesome. Thank you. Have a joyful day crocheting.

Wow this is amazing. Thanks Craig! I was looking for inspiration for baby blanket and thats what I will make!
I am absolutely addicted to this pattern!! Thank you SO much!
I had a hard time making my front posts loose enough so I ended up doing triple front post instead and it turned out great
This worked out great for me, too--thanks!!
Yep. I made my front posts treble crochet also. I also made smaller squares (12 inch) and joined them together. Great pattern.
