    So simple! Thank you for taking your time to teach others how to do this pattern. I too looked at the written directions & became dizzy with concern if I would ever "figure it out" Then, while scrolling through UA-cam I was happy as I could be as there was my "someday" afghan completed! 😊😊😊 I sat today & watched through the complete video & was so happy! 🎉🎉🎉 I can do that! Thank you for your time, help & patience in teaching others!

    I told my mom I was beginning to make blankets since I began crocheting about 8 years now and she insisted she had to get hers first so I began my search for a pattern that she would really love and I came across your video for the virus pattern (the name name really threw me off btw lol). As I got to round 7 I really caught on once I remembered where my corners and sides are. 2 thumbs to you for this video it was very easy to follow since I am a hands on learner and i love the accent. I have never been so eager and inspired to post my projects in my Facebook group. Wish me luck!!!!

    Thank you, Alison! You’re an amazing teacher. I don’t read written patterns well and need a video to help. I was in Scotland earlier this year for our daughter’s wedding to a lovely Scottish fellow. (Came home early due to this Covid mess). Your accent brings back all the memories of the warm Scottish welcome we had. Stay well!

      You got this, have confidence. You can slow videos down there is a settings icon under all youtube videos click on it and click on speed. You might not get sound but you can slow those ones that are too fast for you and see what they are doing.

It's coming together nicely for a blanket that I'm donating to the people of Louisiana that have lost so much due to the hurricane. I'm going to be Crocheting lots more blankets for them too! Alison, you have helped me to make a family heirloom with this pattern! That is per my sister. Was delighted to see this tutorial pop up again! I fell in love with this blanket when I first saw it last August & decided to make it as an adult afghan. As a wedding gift. Was so excited by the pattern that I didn't stop to think about it being square, not rectangular. So it ended up being a blanket that covered the top of a queen size bed! Was GORGEOUS & the couple agree that it is the nicest gift they received. Thank you Alison for making this beautiful pattern so easy to make!

    My friend told me at lunch that her mom is moving in - and the color of the bedroom is a very pale blue - and I said I'd like to make something - she asked for a blanket/afghan large enough to be for comfort while her mom watches tv. I can't believe that I found YOUR pattern - which I like very, very much - and since I'm a fan of her mom's - this is perfect!!! TY so very much!!
    I will, however, have to purchase more yarn - baby blue and soft.

    Love your channel, and your enthusiasm is so easy to catch, Alison. After seeing this blanket I know what I’m going to do with the five hanks of natural Merino yarn I just got. Not for the dye pot! It’s a lovely, soft cream colour, like fresh churned butter. Tell me that won’t work up nicely into this pattern!

I will definitely be making this for my friend's daughter/granddaughter due in June❤(and coincidently I plan to make it in white🤩😊. As you commented toward the end of your video)

    Thank you so much for posting this pattern and tutorial! I've made several baby blankets and just love the way it works up. I'm currently working on a larger afghan for myself and decided to play around with some color - changing colors every round but carrying the previous color up to avoid working in a bunch of ends. I love the way its coming out

I am going to change colours every 2 rounds, to make my friend another baby blanket. Thank you again, for the excellent video. I love crocheting in a round.

      Sometimes I love a pattern but for whatever reason, I can’t easily follow that particular UA-camr. So I’m glad there are often different videos of the same pattern, and thrilled when I find one that works for me! I thank all you wonderful crochet teachers out there for sharing your talents and the considerable time these videos must take. Without it, I’d never have learned to crochet.

    • @Sassy2935
      @Sassy2935 4 роки тому +1

      I have the same problem sometime too Lauren, what I do is go on youtube and type in the name of the crochet(if the UA-camr list it) in the search engine to see if other UA-camrs are doing the same pattern. If none comes up, then I figure out what it would be called from the design or what the person call the stitches they are doing. That usually works.... hope that helps..happy hooking🤗😅stay safe
