Im finding it hard to decide who got luckier in this equation, but I am loving every second of this duo!
I'm not sure either - he is going to love this bike when its done and I am loving working on it with him
This is awesome Mike! Great to see Father and Son working together. That thing fired right up…
That was a total shock, I was not expecting for it to fire up so easily. Really looking forward to working on this one with him. Thanks for watching and the nice comments 😀
That was aweome to watch. Great job, Chase. Keep it up. I'm excited to watch your vision come to life!
Thanks so much!! We are too!!
"Stay tuned for something, maybe the engine's coming out" love it, good job guys!
May be jumping the gun on getting the engine out. This was a lot if fun, cant wait to continue working on this with him
The smile on his face when he was reving the bike on the trailer. Priceless. These always look like such fun. Someday I will try.
Hard to believe that he was only 9 when we bought that thing. I thought it was hilarious that I said that he might be able to ride that when he is 12 - since now he is 12!! ha!
great father-son project
well done!
I cant wait to see this one done
Boy, that looks familiar! I'm putting the finishing touches on my 1980 Hawk 400 project. So cool that you're working on yours with your son!
Thats really cool Jon, looking forward to watching your video as well. This will be a fun project with Chase.
@@ACECafeBikes Right on!
That looks like a fun project bike.
I owned a UK spec CB400T Dream for a few years round about 1982, mine was probably a 1978 model and was far from tidy when I got it.
Mine ran and handled great once I had properly tightened up the steering head bearings and replaced the badly rusted exhaust system with a quality aftermarket one.
Yours sounds great in this video, I wonder if it is quite low mileage?
At least on the early models, the top ends can become very noisy but do seem to just keep on working.
I'm sure you already know the importance of properly servicing all the oil filters and strainers (etc.) on these small high revving Hondas.
(I learnt the importance of that the hard way, when a used CB400F seized up on me before I had had time to properly service it.)
Have fun...
That's a fantastic story, love that. We didn't show our excitement as much as we should have in the video. That really was a surprise that it started that easily. That was the second time it had started in 10 years. Once on the trailer and then nearly 3 years later on the table. We are excited to transform this into a cool machine for him. Thanks for watching and commenting
Thanks for the entertainment guys, great video and looking forward to watching this series.
Hey, I’m back in your beautiful country on the west coast this time…. Back to the bottom of the world in a weeks time.
Enjoy your stay 🍻
This has been coming for awhile, I think we are both pretty excited about it. Thanks Paul
Just an awesome video guys. Excited for this build!
Thanks BJ, I hope that it plays out as well as it is in our minds. ❤
It is good to see the young fella turning wrenches. I got my first bike when I was about his age. 1975 Suzuki 185GT. Tons of fun.
He is having fun, I think it's fun that he wants to do it too. Thanks for watching 🥰
@@ACECafeBikes I'm hoping my son takes an interest in auto/bikes/something in the garage.
@@upchuckchops Me too, you have some interesting projects going on, be cool to enjoy that
Can't wait for more stories while he grows up and the project moves along. Bravo.
Thanks so much, I hope to have some future installments of this series up in a couple weeks. Thanks for watching!
Love this episode so much!!!!
Thanks so much ❤❤
Honda Super dream in UK. CB 250N and 400N. 250s really common for learns but a bit heavy for the power. 400s were okay.
We are going to take off some of the weight to make it the way he wants it. There should be plenty of power for him 🍻
We’ve been waiting to see his bike get started on. Was it kinda weird being behind the camera instead of in front?
Not at all, once he starts getting comfortable with what he's doing he'll talk more. He is doing great and its so fun working with him.
Great Content! Who was that handsome seller!?!?
Some cool dude in SE MN 🥰🤔
Hey ive got the same bike! Called the CB400N here. my dad bought it for me a few years back for 400 bucks. they ride great, and if you order parts from japan theyre highly customizeable.
That's awesome - this bike was 400 bucks too, how funny!
@@ACECafeBikes haha 1 buck per cc. Pretty cool!
@@kanggoo57 Best negotiating tactics ever!
Best way to buff aluminum. I have found is a die grinder with a scotch brite custom made buffing bit. Dry.
Thanks for the tip!
