      i had pro comforts on my 2016 wrx for over a year before I sold it - 9/10 in terms of comfort - probably should have increased the ride height to prevent a bit of scraping - but the quality and comfort of the pro comforts were amazing

    10:00 this is exactly what has convinced me to finally fork out for the Pro Sports. I love the already firm and rocky feeling of the factory STi suspension and don't want to lose any of that sporty feeling. STis are all about the driving experience. If you want a comfortable soft compliant car, then you buy a BMW or Mercedes 😉

    I've come back to this video since there isn't too much online and think I will have to pull the trigger on a set of Pro Comforts soon...
    I have BC BRs right now and they are not taking the very uneven patchy roads around me well, quite crashy and you feel everything through the seat! Still feeling bad everytime I have a passenger loll.
    Do these MCAs produce any sort of noises or NVH over bumps and stuff? Not sure if its just the nature of coilovers and them having camber tops, but my BCs do over certain bumps. Not a bad noise, it's just noticeable briefly and is it a bad idea if I'm planning to go quite low on these? Does it defeat the 'purpose' as I think Pro Sports are better suited for lower heights, but I do not track.

    • @MrDuongTV1
      @MrDuongTV1  3 місяці тому

      Thanks for watching mate. Indeed, the BCs would be very crazy on uneven surfaces, budget quality so could be noisy too.
      No noise coming from MCA coilovers, you would hear impact noise tho i.e. going down a step or into a pot hole, but thats just the impact being absorbed by the tyres, not the coilovers themselves. I remember I would get clicking noises over every single bump with my Silvers... completely quiet with the MCAs. If you want to go "quite low" with Pro Comforts, they're not the set for you. Lowest you can go with these is down to a 1cm gap between your tyre and fender. Its not as stiff as the Pro Sports so if you go mighty low, it'll keep compressing and probably rub onto your car/destroy your tyres/fender liners.
      Pro Sports are great and quite comfy, but definitely not what you're after if you don't plan on the occasional track day. MCA have just come out with Pro Street, that fill in the gap between the Pro Comforts and Pro Sports, that I didn't even know needed to exist lol. I haven't asked much about it yet, so I'm not sure if they're suitable for lower ride heights compared to the Pro Comforts, best bet is to call them up after they've come back from their mid year break.

    Great comparison review mate, i think for a daily the Pro Comforts hands down but pair it with a Whiteline front and rear sway bar and end link kit and you won't be missing the Pro's anymore.
    Sway bars make a massive difference to body roll in corners.

    • @MrDuongTV1
      @MrDuongTV1  7 місяців тому +1

      Cheers, mate! Appreciate the comment. I've had the full whiteline swaybar kit previously (and even made a video on it). I took it off because i couldn't believe the quality of the brand. The front end links were very loud and clunky, even after replacing with a brand new set of end links from whiteline themselves, the brand new ones were clunky too. Not to mention the rear sway bar, which was bent 5.7mm to one side. Called up whiteline again to which they said the bend was "within their tolerance" and refused to give me a refund. I'm not sure any parts company allow for that much slack, if any... great to hear if you've had good experiences with whiteline! I will personally never vouch for them again

      @MrDuongTV1 Thanks dude for this information, I have been tossing up buying the whiteline kit for my VN wagon but hearing this feedback has put me off.
      With the pro comforts installed would you say the car had much less bodyroll than standard?
      Thanks again for your great content and replies.

    • @MrDuongTV1
      @MrDuongTV1  7 місяців тому +1

      Nah man thank you for watching and supporting the channel! Yes, immensely reduced body roll even on pro comforts! If you turn them up they actually can go pretty stiff. I hear that on the levorgs, the difference is night and day so I'd imagine with the new wrx wagon it'd be even better, as the newer wagon is on the subaru global platform. If you really want a set of sway bars (which you don't need on a daily or street car, esp a wagon), hard race and super pro are brilliant suspension brands

      @DECKARD263354BR 7 місяців тому

      @MrDuongTV1 Thanks again man, I wws in 2 minds about either coilovers or sway bars, because there is noticeable bodyroll especially in the rear, with coilovers , i can lower the car a bit and reduce bodyroll, also MCA seem like a very reputable brand, coilovers it is !!! Happy cruising mr Duong !

    Stumbled across your channel when researching MCA . What a hidden gem !! Learnt a lot watching your videos . Do you think it’s worth buying a set for a car that isn’t an enthusiast car . Would they fit differently say to a Honda accord cu2 ? Compared to your WRX .

    • @MrDuongTV1
      @MrDuongTV1  9 місяців тому +1

      Thanks for your kind words mate! I'm not sure what you mean by non enthusiast car because a honda accord is loved by many enthusiasts! I do think its worth it if you like cars or love spirited driving. MCA do have coilovers for the CU accord, they do fit differently because they're different cars but it would probably enhance your driving expierence in the same way.

    Do the comforts ever feel floaty or bouncy over certain roads (the teins do feel this way with 3/4 firmness)? I currently run tein flex z's which I'd say are comfy, 7/6kg. Tracked 3 times in a lib wagon and I'd say that's probably their weakness...
    Handling they seem fine at eastern creek as running a 22mm rsb on hardest.
    Great video!

      @MrDuongTV1  5 місяців тому +1

      I'm on about 7/12 at front, 4/12 at rear and its fine. Its nice, planted, firm and feels sporty. But defs a lot more body roll in the pro comforts vs pro sports at that level of dampening. I haven't tracked the pro comforts (MCA dont recommend that either) but I do plan to eventually. On mountain and spirited drives, the car feels great 😊 no complaints.

    What about comfort with stiffer sway bars?

    • @MrDuongTV1
      @MrDuongTV1  26 днів тому

      Unsure about that, haven't tried myself. MCA don't recommend running stiffer sway bars or bushings with their products, but plenty of people do it and don't have an issue. You also won't feel too much of a difference with the upgraded sway bar unless you're smashing it out on track

    Hey mate, owner of a VB wrx here. Love the car but the bumpiness is the only complaint I have (well, more from the mrs but still) - would the comfort coilovers help with that and make the ride smoother than stock?

    • @MrDuongTV1
      @MrDuongTV1  10 місяців тому

      G'day mate. Definitely will! Rides worlds better than the stock on VA. I've been in the VB too, and in comparison (although different chassis) the pro comforts ride so much better than stock VB. I found that the rebound on the VB is not that great, its still jumping around everywhere even after you go over a bump. It'll defs get the thumbs up from the mrs.

      @MrDuongTV1  10 місяців тому

      I've no experience with the vostons, nor do I know anyone with Vostons. I'm guessing they'll be fine, given the QC and customer service MCA provide. Though I'm sure it won't be as tailored/specialised for your certain driving style. Don't think you'd go wrong going with Voston either.
