As a believer who has a personal relationship with our Lord through Jesus, it is so refreshing to hear someone on UA-cam share how your faith is who you are. Thank you for all that you do. Romans 8:28 is one of my favorite scriptures that has brought me comfort during some really difficult times.
At 77 yrs old, I still enjoy getting dressed for my day. Having said that “the sands have shifted” and some of the clothing I use to wear are too clingy, tight and don’t fit like they use to. So I have started paying attention to the fabric content (cotton is a friend) and sizes. Sometimes a size larger can even make you look smaller because of the way it fits. But all in all I definitely think women of every age should get up every morning, put on their face, get dressed and go out and enjoy the day. “today is the day the LORD has made and I will rejoice and be glad in it.”
Thank you, Kay for providing us with great content. I am a Christian and I love it that God is a part of this channel. I appreciate you and your husband's hard work, it shows. You have touched me far beyond what you know. Keep doing what makes you happy is what I say. Thanks again.
Thank you! I am 73 and have been following you for about 6 months. You inspired me to “”get dressed for my day”. For me that means putting on little make up each day. I have always loved clothes. So I really enjoy learning about trends. I’m impressed with how spot on you are. I also believe what you say, once you’re dressed for your day I don’t give my appearance any more thought. I feel attractive without giving it continuous thought. Thanks!

You are looking so beautiful in this video. This was a wonderful conversation and I truly enjoyed it. I spent 15 years as an advertising executive for the newspaper industry and at the age of 42 I decided to change careers. I investigated the idea of becoming a teacher and I did some observations in a classroom for several days and I had an epiphany when one of the students (a 3rd grader) came up to me and gave me the biggest hug. I went back to school to get my post baccalaureate and I taught fourth grade for 20 years. I am now retired and I would highly recommend that for those who are considering making a life change to go for it. Thanks Kay for your weekly inspiration.
Kay, I am so thankful that I found you on Instagram. You have such a sweet spirit. We are sisters in Christ and I appreciate that you took time to do this extensive and honest video and that you spoke so openly about your faith in Christ. May God bless you as you continue your channel. ❤
Kay I share the exact same philosophy when it comes to simply appreciating and admiring an item. To walk away with contentment is a great feeling, secure in the knowledge that that 'thing' doesn't always have to become yours. Sometimes though, something can speak to me and my general rule is that if I it continues to pop up in my thoughts over time, I might buy it. Generally speaking though, it's amazing how quickly we forget about these temptations...they disappear into the ether and we press on.
I love how you say your faith is who you are, not a part of who you are. It's so refreshing to hear a woman of faith not be apologetic about what she believes. We need more women like you that are bold in their faith.
Regarding spending time on appearance, I had told a few friends that I spend the time on my appearance so that I can then focus on others and forget about myself. One of these friends recently reminded me that I had told her that and that she has incorporated that into her own daily routine as well.
I’m sorry that you were asked questions about you and your husband’s work etc. I respect your openness and willingness to answer these most personal questions with grace.
I’m impressed by your candor and so glad to see and hear a woman who’s straightforward about her faith as who she is. So often today, people seem embarrassed to talk about their faith. Anyway, I love getting ideas from your blogposts and videos and was happy to find a more mature woman talking about fashion and presenting yourself as best you can. Feels like so much of fashion is for young people. I love my local Talbots, LL Bean and JJill. I’m so glad your hard work is paying off financially for you and James.

Thanks so much for always being authentic. I appreciate your honesty with some very tough questions. You're always so graceful and classic, something I strive for each day. Thank you for encouraging us, your viewers.
What a lovely video! Thank you for sharing how you came to your personal relationship with Christ. I’ve always wondered. Sounds like we had a similar upbringing! As a fellow believer I agree completely that your faith IS who you are - it’s not something reserved for Sunday but instead should permeate every area of our lives. On a DFMD note you’ve taught me so much about how to put together a wardrobe that works for my unique lifestyle and activities. You’ve also helped me tremendously in adding the little details that will make an outfit special - whether that’s a style hack, a third piece or an accessory. I like the idea of a video or post addressing winter coats and jacket outfits and how to transition that outfit once you’re no longer outside and want to remove the coat. Hope that makes sense - I’m not sure I’m being clear on what I’m asking!
I truly appreciate what you do on your blog and channel. I feel so much more confident since I've been using your tools online and refining my wardrobe and using newer techniques with my makeup. I have gotten so many compliments on the way I look now. I was really in a slump after menopause and this has given me new life.
I love your channel. I loved it when you said you and James are a team in your business that you work together building a future. Marriage is a covenant with God. This is what God wants in your marriage to be together and to work toward a future together. God bless you both.
Thank you Kay for sharing yourself with all of us! This was a beautiful video. You have inspired me. I am more confident because of you. And I am beyond grateful that you share God's word with us. Thank you for all of the hard work, you and James are doing together for all of us❤️
Thank you for such an inspiratonal video. I have followed you for years and I so appreciate your dedication and hard work. The amount of suggestions and analysis you constantly share is the equivalent of an entire magazine's worth every week. I was so happy to see how much James and you work together. I could not fathom how you could provide so much information on your own since it's the equivalent of an entire team's effort every week. Your videos are stellar! I love that you inspire me to dress better, which in turn makes me feel better and be a happier friend, parent, grandparent, wife and woman overall. You are truly a treasure...
I loved the spiritual part of your video. Today too many people are afraid to tell about their personal relationship with our God and savior Jesus. Because of your love and obedience to God’s word I’ll continue to watch you no matter what the fashion. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thank you so much for this video. It really touched my heart. God is using you to reach others. I appreciate everything you said. I look forward to your videos each week.
Kay never stop being ‘You’ ❤️This was an absolutely marvellous video . What a lovely and gracious and truthful lady you really are . Your Spirituality is Beautiful and never stop sharing it , you are beautiful . Thank you for all your hard work for always but specially for this video , wow girl you really bared your Soul ! and what a beautiful sparkling Soul it is Xx💐
Kay, I have really enjoyed this video. Becoming friends online is good. I started watching UA-cam fashion stylists about a year ago. I am turning 69 on Thanksgiving day, lol. It means a lot to me to find one that has a christian outlook and values. I have also listened to Charles Stanley radio podcast daily for several years. Love reading my bible. I am the choir director at a Baptist church in Tennessee. I was raised by a good christian family snd saved when I was 11 years old. I started my research on styling clothes like I said about a year ago. I really never focused much on myself. I have enjoyed learning about this. My husband and I are retired. We do enjoy our 4 grandchildren and I love to travel. Again I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate you and the work you do on this channel. Thank you ♥️♥️🌹🌹🌹
Kay, I’ve been watching your videos for the past 4 or so years-probably when the pandemic was underway. I also subscribe to your blog/emails. I appreciate Blessed For Your Day, and all your wardrobe help. You have a wonderful, friendly way about you, and I’m so sorry people can say such hurtful things. People seem to think if they are not face to face, but behind a keyboard it’s okay to behave poorly to others. Please continue doing what you do-you are a blessing in many lives!
Kay it’s so very gracious of you to answer all of those questions. I started following you because you are a Christian woman, so thank you for what you do. I’m so very sorry you have to deal with unkind comments. I wish you the best. Thank you ❤️
Thank you for all the information about the business of social media. I know it is an involved one, but your explanation makes me appreciate more all the effort you put out along with your husband and assistant. So nice that you and your hubby are such a team, it warms my heart to hear you talk about your partnership. Your faith shines through, one of the reasons I always know it is like chatting with a friend when I watch your videos.
This was so sweet…thanks for sharing your life with us Kay…I think that when all of your lovely vlogs, posts , try ons come out I never really stop to think how much work goes into each and every one…so much appreciation to you and your hubby, James.
Thank you for your honesty. You are an inspiration in many ways. You encourage me, by seeking The Lord every morning and being obedient to Him. Your practice of prayer before interacting with others is a wonderful reminder. Thank you for this open, honest, and helpful video. Keep up your good work. God Bless you and James.
This was charming, warm, fun, interesting, inspiring and beautiful. I especially liked the part on how you handle negativity: "the Bible and James". I really liked how you spoke about your faith, so thank you for this video, put a smile on my face after a hard day!
Kay, thank you so much for sharing your personal answers and thoughts with us. I enjoy listening to your youtube channel every week and have learned so much from you. You are a bright light and I appreciate your knowledge and wisdom. It has helped me so much in so many ways. Thank you for all you and your husband do for us; it is refreshing and a good thing! .
Thank you so much, Kay, for sharing your heart with us. Your love of the Lord was what really drew me to your channel about two years ago. You are a blessing. ❤️
I enjoyed this very much, learning about someone who've I've admired and watched on UA-cam for several years. None of the other influencers tell of their personal life, so this was different and makes me respect you and your family even more. Thank you for letting us see inside your life.
Thank you so much! I ordered the Bible you use and talked about. I plan to begin in the year 2025 (I am thinking maybe along with my Bible study ladies group). You always look so bright and happy - I believe it is God shining through you. The Bible mirrors his words and becomes a reflection of Him; of his love and mercy and his forgiveness. Love your channel. You are very helpful to me concerning my wardrobe. 😊
Thank you for answering all these questions! The suggestion about using LTK to find clothes that fit my body proportions was terrific. I also gave my heart to Jesus when I was 8 years old. I deeply appreciate your faith as part of your blog. You are a blessing!
I love your message at the end about Christmas, and how you celebrate. You use the phrase, 'do what the Lord leads us to do that year'. In a nutshell, during a time when 'traditions' seem to take over the meaning, it is so wise to accept that being flexible and open to both intimate (just the two of you) and friend or family gatherings. Contentment in celebrating the birth supercedes the pressure we sometimes put (or have put on us) regarding duplication of traditions or family 'demands'. Thank you for that. And a gratitude moment to my parents who taught me that when newly married as well.
This was such an informative, open blog. For the lady who was 75 and asked if she should dress as you do, I am 74 and I love what you show us. I think it is something that 80 year olds could use too! Thank you.
Thank you for opening your life up to those of us who have followed you for years. So many of the questions were the same questions I had, particularly about your faith journey and your husband. I am 72 years old and love your advice. Of course not everything you show is for me, but I love that you are so classy in all you chose and the way you put things together. I always come away with ideas. May God bless you.
Thank you very, very much for all the time and care you put into this video, especially in response to questions that are more personal than you should expect to be asked! I am often shocked at some unkind online comments and have to hope the person doesn't realize the effect, and of course, it provides an opportunity to pray - for all of us! If they are so unhappy they take it out on others, that is sad. People who are happy may sometimes be thoughtless, but tend not to feel the need to be nasty from jealousy or anger.
I always smile when you say your readers are done raising kids! I'm 53 and have a 14yo and a 16yo. I'm a late bloomer (my husband and I were mid-thirties when we found one another--I had begun to despair!) This doesn't change anything fashion-wise etc. And we are actively planning for retirement too. We are 7-10 years out from one of us (hopefully me!) retiring. I think my husband will have to retire and then have a side-hustle at least, he has too much energy to do otherwise. I guess I just wanted you to know that "some of us" still have kids at home. :)
This was very interesting, and I enjoyed getting to know you a little more. As a senior with my own, fairly new business, I appreciated your insights into running your successful business. I would be interested in how you would approach dressing for your day when you're retired, as I work from home and rarely need to look professional. Even business casual is a little too dressy for my lifestyle. Thank you for answering all these questions so honestly and thoughtfully.
Excellent video!!! You DO have a ministry here and it is wonderful to hear the gospel this way!! God bless your ministry! You bless me when you help us to Dress For Our Day....I've learned alot 😊 ....thank you!
I loved listening to Charles Stanley too. He often said it was important to “look our best.” Our bodies are a gift from God and a temple of the Holy Spirit.
Hi Kay, I really loved getting to know you and have always known you were a Christian even though I never knew your background because you have always shown such joy and grace in your videos. I too love our Lord but I need more discipline about setting a time everyday to read my Bible. I am going to look into your study guide, because I just start at the beginning of each chapter and read. I love your channel and your style. Your hard work is paying off🥰
It was almost like we were sitting across from each other again at Graeters having a conversation Kay! Loved this video and thank you for your keeping things real. Would enjoy this again! Blessings,
Hi Kay thank you so much for the video and allowing us to know you better. You are a beautiful person and I have been able to view your inner beauty during this video. I love how you incorporate your faith in your blogs without any apologies. Lord bless you richly ❤

Good morning Kay! I enjoyed learning more about you. I’m especially thankful for your message about Jesus, God and your faith. You are truly a blessing! Prayers for you and your family! 🙏🏻💕
Kay, you showed in this video what I think is a major part of your success as a blogger. You are smart, positive, down to earth and honest about who you are. You're not afraid to show your vulnerability and always have an upbeat side to it all. Thank you.
Great video! I wanted to share a few over 50 petite influencers I follow: Lisa Richardson from Coast to Coast, Michelle at Poised Petite, and Lori Lindquist. Brooke at Pumps and Pushups is younger, but she has a very classic style that I think would resonate with your audience. I follow a variety of influencers of all ages and heights, but it is very helpful to see outfits on petite ladies and to hear their feeback on what works on a petite frame.
Thank you Kay, as that was a lovely accompaniment to my lunch break and very inspiring. I visited your channel from time to time and enjoyed everything but one evening, huddled up to a radiator in my late mother's house which I was trying to warm up while I stayed there to continue clearing it out, I suddenly thought of you and went to the latest video, which was your "Second Act" one. I have recommended it to others ever since and they have valued it and passed it on too. After that I made sure I subscribed!
One thing that helps me not overbuy is having my closet online. Before a purchase I look to see if it fits with my current inventory/if I can wear it with other pieces and make outfits and whether it’s too similar to something I already own.
Hi Kay, thank you for this video. I like when you speak about exercices, fitness. Yes I struggle with that every day too, your words encourage me. 💕👍🇫🇷
Thank you for sharing your heart and answering these questions. I appreciated your vulnerability and honesty. I really enjoy your blog and You Tube channel. Keep up the good work!!
I do buy a lot from Talbots. When I worked, I had a lot of their bi-stretch trousers. I am petite, and don’t think I look good in really wide clothes. I also have “sturdy “legs and so I never wore skinny leg pants. The past few years, slim straight was my go to, but I have just pulled my wider straight leg out of the cedar closet and I think they are good again..not too wide but not too slim, “just right” for me; even the fabric is much like current travel trousers. You are right that over the years I have thought a certain item would come back in style, but then found that the collar or sleeve or shoulders or pleats were not quite right. Even a classic button front shirt can have a collar or sleeve that looks dated.
Yeah, sometimes I’ve really struggled to let go of things because I just love them, maybe even for sentimental reasons. But in the end I have to come to terms with the fact that it just doesn’t look current. 😉
Wow-thank you so much for sharing. I am encouraged by your faith, graciousness and inner/outer beauty. Thank you for your example in being candid and classy.
Thank you. Just keep being you. I appreciate you being open about your faith. There are a number of fashion influencers I’ve started to watch on UA-cam, and it isn’t long before the F word and other vulgar language comes out. I do not subscribe to those channels. I was taught that only inner beauty was important, and I always felt guilty when I dressed up as a young woman. Many years later, that doesn’t bother me anymore.😂
Thank you for sharing. You are a beautiful soul and helped me so much when I first started my own journey of self love in a Godly way when I was at my very lowest. Wishing you so much success!
I can see why you like quality clothes...because you are a QUALITY person. Your authenticity shows through with every answer. This was fun and it is a good witness for viewers of the ideals of a Christian. Thank you.
I was so excited to see what today’s video was going to be about. I confess I went straight to the spiritual section and you were spot on. I’ll keep this email and it’s video in my inbox and watch a little bit every day of the other subjects. What a treat! I can’t begin to tell you how much you have influenced me via your videos. Thank you so much for being yourself - a very loving woman with a heart for God.
Amen! to a video or blog post about wearing fall/winter colors or styles when it's 90 degrees outside. I live in South Texas and it's not been below 85 degrees all fall. I am still wearing summer clothes. I would greatly appreciate a video talking about fall or winter dressing for warmer climates.
Dear Kay, Thank you for this video. You truly are a beautiful woman inside and out. I am so glad your videos have crossed my path. I was really blessed especially by the last fourth of it. I loved the topics you tackled. The way you explained your faith is not a part of you, it's who you are and that you pray on your way to be with others that you might be an instrument of His. We certainly need more voices such as this. Could the LORD possibly be calling you to 'minister' and 'mentor' a bit more to our age group that are at the second half of our lives and being called to something new? I would like to say YES and encourage you to do so. Peace 🕊
Kay, this is a beautiful message. You are inspiring so many with your example and wise words. Your channel is refreshing! Please do a video about how to dress in warm climates in the winter. I live in Texas!!! I watched a video from Audrey Coyne and one thing she said, and I did, is to incorporate warm weather fabrics but in darker colors. So I have a navy blue long sleeve linen shirt that I can wear almost year round. I also keep my navy and black shorts handy, and wear them with a shirt and vest.
I'm so glad you mentioned Audrey, I love her. I'm working on a few winter outfit ideas and will definitely incorporate those tips! Thanks for watching. ❤️

I love that you inspire me to dress better, which in turn makes me feel better and be a happier friend, parent, grandparent, wife and woman overall. You are truly a treasure...
I'm so glad you enjoy the channel! 🥰 Your comments are so very kind.
Thank you ❤️
Kay, I can't believe some of the things you have been asked! Thank you for your honesty and transparency. God bless you.
I am so glad you were encouraged by this video! Thank you for watching.😊
This was charming, warm, fun, interesting, inspiring and beautiful. I especially liked the part on how you handle negativity: "the Bible and James". I really liked how you spoke about your faith, so thank you for this video, put a smile on my face after a hard day!
Ahh, I’m so glad. Thanks so much for your kindness. ❤️
Kay, this was so much fun! I appreciate the grace and thoughtfulness you applied to each question!
You explained your testimony so beautifully, and I don’t see how anyone could be critical of you sharing your faith..
It’s wonderful to see that you’ve been able to find contentment in this area. Thanks so much for watching and sharing. 🥰
This was such an informative, open blog. For the lady who was 75 and asked if she should dress as you do, I am 74 and I love what you show us. I think it is something that 80 year olds could use too! Thank you.
Thank you so much for watching! 😊
I’m 79 and dress in the classics.
I am so glad you enjoy the channel! 🥰
I loved listening to Charles Stanley too. He often said it was important to “look our best.” Our bodies are a gift from God and a temple of the Holy Spirit.
Yes, he was a wise and good man. Thanks for sharing and for watching. ❤️
Thank you so much for sharing and encouraging us all! Love your channel and appreciate your fashion tips! God bless you and your family 🥰
I’m so glad you enjoy my channel! 😊 Thank you for following along.
Your hard work is paying off🥰
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video and that you’re finding my channel helpful! ❤️
Hi Kay! I very much enjoyed this video and appreciate your honesty. UA-cam is a lonely career, it was nice to hear your perspective. Thank you! ❤
So enjoyed the video! Your confidence in your faith and family come through so strong and genuine. I will look forward to the next one!
Thank you. 😊
It was almost like we were sitting across from each other again at Graeters having a conversation Kay! Loved this video and thank you for your keeping things real. Would enjoy this again!
Blessings,
What a blessing to have James behind you 100%!!
Indeed it is. Thanks so much for watching. 🤗
Hi Kay thank you so much for the video and allowing us to know you better. You are a beautiful person and I have been able to view your inner beauty during this video. I love how you incorporate your faith in your blogs without any apologies. Lord bless you richly ❤
Thank you so much for your kind words. 🥰
Thank you Kay, for sharing your faith! You are a blessing to so many.
I enjoy all your fashion advice and look forward to opening your email everyday.
Thank you for being here!🥰
Thanks, Kay, for being a delightful role model. I'm so sorry that you've been hurt by rude comments. May the Lord's redemption change their lives.
Thank you for sharing, especially what your thought process is for goal setting. It helps me to hear what other people consider important to help lead to life decisions.
Yes, we live in a very very broken world. Thanks for trying to brighten it up.
Thank you, I appreciate your kind words. 🥰
You can definitely balance the inner and outer beauty. I see it as BOTH AND. 😊 Never apologize for your faith! 😊🙏 ✝️
Good morning Kay! I enjoyed learning more about you. I’m especially thankful for your message about Jesus, God and your faith. You are truly a blessing! Prayers for you and your family! 🙏🏻💕
Thank you so much! It means a lot to me. 🥰
Kay, you showed in this video what I think is a major part of your success as a blogger. You are smart, positive, down to earth and honest about who you are. You're not afraid to show your vulnerability and always have an upbeat side to it all. Thank you.
That’s very kind of you. Thanks so much for watching. ❤️
That is so lovely. Thanks for letting me know. 🥰
Thank you Kay! This was wonderful and you are such a joy in so many ways! I am so grateful I happened on your channel!
One thing that helps me not overbuy is having my closet online. Before a purchase I look to see if it fits with my current inventory/if I can wear it with other pieces and make outfits and whether it’s too similar to something I already own.
I love that! Thanks for sharing. ❤️
Good idea!
Thank you for your testimony! What an encouragement you are in sharing your faith in God. He is my priority!❤
Thank you for watching! I am glad it was encouraging. 😊
Hi Kay, thank you for this video. I like when you speak about exercices, fitness. Yes I struggle with that every day too, your words encourage me. 💕👍🇫🇷
Thanks for sharing!! I’ve walked every day for the past five, so maybe I’m getting a good habit established. 🙌🏻
I love hearing about your faith! It’s who I am too!❤️
Thank you for sharing your heart and answering these questions.
Thank you for sharing how you focus on other people that you meet in your day. Your thoughts remain me to pray for the people I meet each day.
Such an awsome video .... words of wisdom Kay...... thank you for your time and sharing ....
Thank you for all you do, your time and your heart. You do inspire me in all aspects of life.
Best video I've seen in awhile! Thank you so much for answering these questions!
Thank you so much for the kind words! I’m so grateful for viewers like you. 🥰
Thank you for sharing. You are a beautiful soul and helped me so much when I first started my own journey of self love in a Godly way when I was at my very lowest. Wishing you so much success!
Thank you so much. I appreciate you following along. 🥰
I can see why you like quality clothes...because you are a QUALITY person. Your authenticity shows through with every answer. This was fun and it is a good witness for viewers of the ideals of a Christian. Thank you.
Thank you for your kind words. 😊
Thank you Kay for boot options in today’s online post! This was so helpful for someone with bunions, and arthritis!
In short, thank you for taking the time to answer these questions.
AMEN SISTER!
😊
This video was very enjoyable, you are a breath of fresh air…….. keep up the good work❤️❤️Carole
Thank you for the kind words and for watching! 🥰
Thank you! You have been such a positive influence in my life … in many ways!
Amen! to a video or blog post about wearing fall/winter colors or styles when it's 90 degrees outside. I live in South Texas and it's not been below 85 degrees all fall. I am still wearing summer clothes. I would greatly appreciate a video talking about fall or winter dressing for warmer climates.
I even love the idea of you speaking about fall/winter for tropical climates. For instance, the colors..is it still Lilly Pulitzer all year long ?
Dear Kay,
Thank you for this video. Peace 🕊
Thank you so much for your kind words and support. 🥰
Good reminder about God‘s love for His children! ❤
Kay, this is a beautiful message. You are inspiring so many with your example and wise words. Your channel is refreshing! I am currently retired since 2019 after a very busy paralegal career of 30 years. I look to you for inspiration for outfits and lifestyle. Currently, I'm leading a growth group of young women in my church, and I hope to be as inspiring as you!
I am so happy to hear that you find my channel inspiring! 😊 I know that your work there in your church is so meaningful. ❤️
I really enjoyed this video. I enjoy every video actually LOL. I felt like I was having a chat with a friend over tea. Thank you!
