Ohhhhhhh - this brings me back to why I creamed my pants when I first found this show. Such good guests and long interviews. Looking forward to this one. This guy's presence on screen is so powerful - would've loved to see him on stage. The controlling father in Dead Poets, Clarence Bodicker, and more that I can't pluck out of the air right now! Nice one Kevbo and crew.
If you've watched Patriot, you will remember the scene in the 2nd episode when Leslie (Kurtwood Smith) explains how to sell the pipe company's products. It is one of the most amazing TV monologues ever - and Mr. Smith delivers it flawlessly. Kevin and Kurtwood discuss it briefly at 55 minutes in. If you haven't watched Patriot, you're in for a treat, because Kevin is right - it's unusual and amazing and funny and unlike anything that's ever stressed you out, in a good way.
So upsetting how it was really prematurely cancelled, I feel it had quite a bit more to offer. And as usual with these streaming service shows, it's like you're looking for the next season of a show you like, and alot of times it's just like "well where's the next season?", and out of nowhere there is a blip about how it's cancelled and that's that. Sucks. Netflix does it constantly, and Amazon seems to have followed suit.
I love this Podcast. Kevin is fantastic. This should be the Tonight show. But this show, I don't know. When are you going to have on the guy who played the villain in Robocop or the guy who played the dad on that 70 Show?

I AM, however, a fan of COMEDY, so I listened to this whole thing to hear something - a word, even - about THAT 70s SHOW! Come ON, Kevin! Where was the “from there to there”? I’ve never heard a long-format interview with this actor and am really interested in his whole body of work. P.S. Big fan of the show. I’ve heard almost all of them, I’m just not much of a writer in!
This was a real waste! Yes Patriot is good and definitely some of Kurtwood's best work but it's still too bizarre to be truly great. Can't believe Kevin mentioned nothing else.

Patriot is a great show and I think it's some of Smith's best work
