To me this song is the apex of Nintendo's amazing recent trend to lean very hard into big band style composing in their recent sound tracks, which is just awesome. Mario and Big Band music is truly a match made in heaven!

She's amazing, I love so many things about the decisions she made with her delivery. The tight vibrato she does at the end of "air" for example :44 is just so pleasant.

Grace has such a clean, crisp voice, and her overall vocal style fits this song so perfectly. Not to mention, she is a phenomenal saxophonist. Fantastic choice for this cover, I'd say.

I remember when that second trailer came out and how blown away I was that there was a jazzy musical number in my shiny new Mario game.
It caught me by surprise and honestly it was pretty damn moving

Oddysee was around my 4th game ever to complete all the way through, im 28 years old and this was a big deal.

My kids mock me b/c 8-Bit Big Band songs are all over our Spotify family mix, but I don't care. They need to learn to appreciate great stuff like this. They're a drummer and a clarinetist, so they'll eventually understand the brilliance of the arrangements and the ridiculous chops of the musicians.
All the stuff I thought was 'corny' or just didn't have any interest in as a kid is the same stuff I listen to today when I'm feeling nostalgic or I just want to hear good music.

I haven't played drums in about 6 years and everytime i hear a song with some tight, skillful out of the norm drumming I kick myself for not having access to a kit anymore
