Devs: *Sees a large amount of players complaining that shields are way to powerful for thier points and has no real counter with the kick being so bad*
Devs: *Buffs Kick*
Players begin to now stand more of a chance against shield users and the kick is now just more viable... all is good!
Devs: *Sees the amount of kills increase insanly from kicks because now players actually use it and shields are now somewhat in a balanced spot* "Guess it's time to nerf kicks because the players are using them way more than before"
I love this game don't get me wrong but the devs just don't see to understand what's happening in thier own game.
Sparto with the kick buff sheilds become obsolete. i dont use shields but understand the nerf. kick is fine where it is
Nah you could still counter kick mate shields are so cancer, the ammount of effort it takes to kill a single shield noob is insane. The first kick buff was perfect. If they dont want us to use the kick that much then make the stamina drain on shields waaaaaaaaaaaay bigger. ALso shields need a point reevaluation imo..2 points for a way to completly put proper block timing out of the game...
Just Monika monkia, if you’ve ever been on a 1v1 server then you should know that shields are ass. shields are meant to be powerful because historically they were meant to fight in groups? i dont see an issue with shields being good 1vx but not 1v1

2:30 is a perfect example of the shield situation. For a small point expense, the user can fumble with feints and parry timings and still block hits, while the attacker has to put in a lot more effort just to bypass their defense. This only compounds further in non-1v1 situations, as they can just hold block while pushing and not have to worry about the enemy surprising them with a riposte hit.

Yo stout how you increase sensitivity when swinging? Each time i swing camera is slow asf. When no swinging Camera is Fast
The slower and smoother u move the mouse as you are swinging, the more it'll move. If you jerk it around too fast it will move the camera slower.

So how would you heat a shield/rapier/spear user in a 1vX, like on frontline? I always get pounded by one of those when they keep interrupting my counterattacks and I get really salty.
When they go for the stab (which they always do), chamber the stab and then morph the stab into a kick. 80% Chance you will hit the kick which will then guarantee a hit.
Royal cyka blyat i guess u just cant beat that, like in real life. Only if shield spear/rapier guy extremely bad u can win that fight

They're too hard to do properly and very easy to dodge. I remember seeing Stouty get killed by a waterfall against FIST and crying about it tho, so it does happen, just rarely.

Could you tell me more about them? And also explain how people do that feint spam where if you try to chamber one of them, the feinter's attack still comes out faster

I thought Stouty had "feint or parry" bound to his RMB, in this video it looks like his attacks are going straight to parry? Does anyone know if he changed his bind or is he just super fast at double clicking rmb?

good gameplay though i gotta say, every fight looks like people HAVE to exploit some retarded animation in order to win. Kinda sad tbh, still hoping for a good melee FPS game that doesnt get abused to absolute shit until it dies
When i fight shield users I chamber, kick. Works every time. Just cancel the chamber with a kick. It's funny

It has good stam because the strikes are really easy to land because fast windup with 500ms release, and the stabs fuck things up. If you run it with second wind so you get 13 stam with easy hits on strike then it's probably usable.
Is this the new darkforest map?
no it's contraband. it can only be played on the deathmatch and skirmish gamemode

Honestly, don't really dig the "see how much effort it takes to kill a noob with a shield" yeah you're right Shields are pretty OP, but that's because they trade everything for defense. There is a reason through out history shields and spears were so common, because it was that days "meta" it begs to reason the game would be the same.
They didn't trade anything, also nobody cares about realism, what everyone wants is a game without a way to negate the basic mechanic of said game
