Tryturningiton seemingly didn't playtest their $40 console port because you can plug in your keyboard and mouse directly into your Xbox and go on a rampage, which is exactly what I do in this video (this is what I spend my sponsorship money on). Edit: now fixed
Port is otherwise decent but it hasn't sold well (~300 player concurrent average on launch week across both consoles). There's currently only cross play between consoles so perhaps it would be wise to wait for a future game pass addition

is controller even that much worse than kbm for playing mordhau? at least for 90% of the playerbase, assuming a player is equally used to both methods of control

Can I just point out it's genuinely hilarious you were input cheating a brand new game on console with your thousands of hours of experience, and STILL lost multiple games. Git fuckin gud nubbo
Controllers are easier to use but the downside is you have to be much, much more accurate with your hand movements in comparison to mouse and keyboard. It's possible, but it is just much harder and takes alot of time to get that good with it.

Stouty you're being too harsh, it's easy to overlook something like this in the process of makin a bunch of cosmetic DLC and keeping the team supplied with bags of coke.
Triternion overlooked everything, starting from transparent walls ending up with team balance and combat mechanics. Game is old but it still feels like unfinished
This reminds me of the first few months of Mordhau when you could steamroll lobby’s without trying thanks to the incredibly savvy 3000 hour investment in Chivalry
Pre nerf blood lust was hilarious too as long as they had people feeding you you were basically invincible

Seeing the Mordhau reddit coping and seething at you for saying Mordhau flopped on console was an absolute treat. Literally no attempt at advertising (probably because Crush needs the money to buy himself copious amounts of cocaine to snort to be average at the game with his reflexes), problems that were fixed on the PC port are present and even worse on the consoles, letting you fucking be able to plug M&KB into the console, I honestly just have no words at this point for Triterion as a developer. They have genuinely given up and it's so blatant in the awful console port being the way it is, and the refusal to fix long standing issues or create worthwhile content. I have my gripes about Chivalry 2 in comparison to it, but at least when shit is wrong the devs fucking acknowledge it like how they admitted they know the horse combat and TDM maps are not a popular thing in the 64 players modes and are literally finally making changes to it because of that feedback. Even in the next update it took them a long time they finally have got around to giving more class freedom by letting Footman and Guardian classes have access to different shields.
Where as in comparison to Moordhau devs, when was the last time they actually fixed anything? Or done literally just *anything* from their player feedback on top of the obscenely long content droughts they always have, only for it to usually be like one new outfit and a premium overpriced one? Nothing about how Mordhau as a game makes sense anymore, unless you believe they are trying to kill it off for some reason. What a fucking waste of an opportunity Mordhau was given tbh, such a God damn waste.

edit: nvm was probably using kbm but without feint or parry on rmb (when I figured out how to lower sens and get my feint or parry set up I dominated completely, as showcased)

the devs only show up when there's money to be made, they didn't even buy more servers for their once in a lifetime player spike from the Epic Games giveaway. In reality I have no impact, the devs are destroying themselves

That's actually so sad, i remember when i played this game for the very first time i just fell in love with it. Now this game have 1.5 - 2k players on average and such disrespectful developers. The game has been ruined. I had so many good memories :(

@@UnimportantAcc You can rebind some stuff, I recommend RT feint/parry and RMB swing (240), keeps the same muscle memory of right hand mouse control

They must have thought you were cheating. This game in comparison to chivalry two. The new player search. You wouldn't be able to do that in chiv 2. There would at least be able to mildly defend themselves

why did they even waste time on console port ??? I mean without mods and proper marketing and no big updates since they jumped ship on another project it looks like slap in the face to anyone who bought it. Total cashgrab. The money from DLC cosmetics could be used to make something worthwhile on PC (map reworks so they flow better, combat 2.0 which Crush was promising like 3 years ago, events, new modes which are original not gungame with swords,etc.)

even against console players with a kbm I'd probably strike even... last match I play I basically went 1 for 1 kd... you time the parries so well, I can never tell who to block when I'm swarmed

I think if they added grappling, 1vx against pro player wouldn't be so janky against noobs.
Although it's fun to slaughter 4 guys coming at you, it shouldn't be nearly as feasible as it is. In real life, one guy gets close and grapples you, you stand no chance against his team mates.

The game design is so bad in mordhau, devs didnt even bother to balance teams, say if k/d goes in favor of one team the other team could get spawn moved closer to obj, or some special craters like wardens could be given to balance out things.

A friend of mine the other day told me he is very, very good at For Honor on consoles, and made the argument that high level gameplay is actually very hard and, to my disbelief, he said it was arguably harder than Mordhau.
My man has never touched a PC, pure little thing is blissfully ignorant.
Because it is harder than Mordhau, playing on console has nothing to do with it
FH is a literal gamble fest. A friend of mine made a simple bot that presses random attack inputs and he streamsniped and stomped quite a few people who are considered good and skilled.
