Masterfully done. That bit when you utilized the cheeky cleaver to change the tempo and save your main weapon was brilliant.
What I found interesting was that neither of you was doing much fancy in terms of chambering, morphing, or feinting. I guess you both realized that it wouldnt let you throught echothers defence and would just leave you out of stamina if you used it excessively
Exactly, at that level of gameplay it can turn into a stamina war so you have to be smart about your chambers, feints etc..

Erika Melsbach there wasn’t any animation exploit ? You could say that body feints are kinda broken but other than that it was all morphs, drags, access and feints. They’re both good at reading them so it’s all about outplaying the enemy
@@AlminNesimi I mean moviing camera while attacking make your strikes look wierd. And some strikes become really unreadable. That is really far from real sword fighting
Erika Melsbach yea that’s called body feinting, you will start to read them after a while
@@erikamelsbach2270 Dragging and accels in general is unrealistic, feinting is by far the most realistic part of the game and that includes body feints (which are real)
@@VermillionGates Well drags and accels are kind of realistic, but their damage output aren't. I think the game could benefit by multiplying the damage based on weapon velocity relative to the target, and/or a damage graph for each weapon.

when you go for a morph kick its considerably slower than a neutral kick, even if it looks fast they are somewhat easy to read.

it only grants 3 stamina if the sword actually hits them, so not when it's parried, so at best it's triggered 2-3 times a fight, which isn't that great...not 100% sure though! feel free to correct me :)
It's good if you're in a stamina duel because if you get a lucky hit you get advantage, but some people prefer either 333 or a secondary instead.
Here's a thought, second wind costs 2 points. If instead of gaining stamina on hit you get stammed out, pulling out your secondary afterwards will start you off with almost 30 free stamina points.
@@rj-yo2ki It's actually even worse because you get 10 stamina for a successful hit as it is. So all you're doing is increasing your stam gain from 10 to 13. The onlyu weapon where it can actually help is the carving knife, but why the fuck would you use that?
Why is nobody feinting? Is that the high level meta? I’ve noticed that feints seem pretty useless in this because they take so long and if someone parts just a little early you have to feint again to open a window to hit them

How do you make so when you parry you can attack instantly, like if the blade were bouncing when parying ? I've been searching for quite some times but I can't manage to find how :(
Sounds like a riposte, where you attack just after you block it will be much faster. If you want a really instant attack you can accel the ripostes.

Hm, what actually surprises me is that you guys are not doing the "dances", when a player performs a lot of animation tricks, its so hard to read and react to. Dunno if i described it clearly enough, but what are counters for that?

The offscreen foot drags are getting abysmal. 2:58, 3:05, and 5:45 is fucking stupid. Really easy to pull those drags off and really difficult to block them; it should be the other way around. There's a million more examples of this throughout the video. Gonna kill the game

without stam you could spam feint for ever but I guess you could also spam chamber forever, I'm not sure what it would end up looking like but the fights would take a very long time. Punishing feints successfully would be pretty pointless because you could just parry and not lose out on anything. Interesting thought experiment though
