- Welcome to The Shoe In With Cody! In today’s video, I’m diving into the Nike Pegasus Plus. I’ll be covering all the key tech specs you need to know and sharing my first impressions after logging 11 miles in them. I’ve tested these shoes on both a treadmill run and a quick, snappy outdoor run, and I have to say-they’ve pleasantly surprised me!
The Pegasus line from Nike has been a fan favorite for years, but with the recent additions of the Pegasus Plus and Pegasus Premium, it’s starting to feel like Nike’s most popular line has turned into a gas station-offering everything under the sun! But where does the Pegasus Plus fit into this mix? Is it worth adding to your rotation?

Took mine on 11 miles yesterday, would be happy to take it to half distance. Runs great like really really great much better than I was anticipating, there is some ground feel in the forefoot but it’s not jarring or harsh and tends to be more notable on slower paces with a longer ground contact. Finally feel like Nike have gotten something right. Heavier runner just over 6ft avg weight around 195-200lbs
Nice!! I have 17 miles on the schedule I plan to take these on.
Is it wide in the heel, forefoot and mid foot?
Let's gooooooooo Cody!!!
Well done mate, awesome video
Thanks!! Really appreciate that
Is this true Flyknit or is it the pseudo-flyknit with harder feel that’s used in the Invincible 3?
I’m a US 11 in the Nike Invincible 3.. and a US 10.5 in the Vomero 17… anything idea what I’d be in these? 😅😅
They fit more like the Vomero 17 in my opinion
In not a rubber but it did wonder how big a difference the baby tries i of foams makes. Are people simply neering out?
It's not the show that's going to win the race
But do you think it is a good shoe for long distance training, with what you have already experienced?
Taking it for 17 miles long this weekend. Stay tuned.

Wouldn’t your calves be feeling good after wearing a 10mm drop? Higher drop = less tension through the calf and Achilles. That’s just my personal experience anyway in 10mm drop shoes.
Personally higher drop shoes like a 10mm effect my legs negatively. Usually my calves or Achilles hurts
10mm may lessen the stress and impact on the posterior leg muscles and tendons like your calves, soleus, achilles for sure, but keeps your foot unnaturally positioned to where you don’t have good proprioception and working foot muscles. The heel height inhibits natural movement of the feet and encourages heel striking which is a walking gait making it less efficient and a breaking motion for a running gait.
That’s correct, when I wore this shoe for a run today, my calves were sore after a 5km run.
Send me a pair and I would describe 🙃
Thanks! Right now it’s just a one man show
Is this true Flyknit or is it the pseudo-flyknit with harder feel that’s used in the Invincible 3?
I would say it’s very similar. Maybe a tad softer but similar feel. Hope that helps
@@The_Shoe_In_With_Cody similar to which?
@@MedicineRunner true flyknit. Def not as hard as the invincible 3 in my opinion
@@The_Shoe_In_With_Cody gotcha, thanks man
