Wow, this unboxing video of the Sigmund knife is absolutely amazing! The details you provided are so thorough and helpful. I’ve been considering getting one and this video really showcases all the features perfectly. The close-ups and your explanations make it clear why this knife is a top choice. Thanks for sharing such a cool and informative review!
This edge bevel geometry, blade thickness etc, is the "Perfect" design performance wise, for a scandi edge blade. Handle looks beatiful and the ergos look great too! Even though scandi blades, excel only on wood carving and some utility task, this overall knife design, is meant for general use. It's not a hunting knife, it's a general use belt knife, something similar to a Morakniv Companion! This and then the Gaupe and the Harding, are my favorite Helle knives!!
Thanks for the comment. You are right, it is a beautifull knife. I'm working on a cutting test with the Sigmund and the Viking side by side. Unfortunately due to Corona my trip to Zweden got canceled. When things get better I will finish the video. I wish you the best of luck in the future finding a job and bying your own Helle knife. Greetings from Amsterdam
Good video. The knife blade does not look straight at the part where you say that 'it's a 3mm blade...'.or is it an optical illusion ? Helle blades look beautiful and I can't decide which one to get, although that looks like a great one.
Hi Chris, the knife has a mild drop-point. The blade is straight up to the point where it drops and then straight again to the tip. (i checked with a ruler) A tip when being a helle knife. The handles are different in size between the models. So the Signund was the best for my hand. Greetings and good luck picking a knife.

what a great video, and a good looking knife.
Very nice, I hope to get one when I am old enough to get a job, in my opinion it is the best looking knife out there.
