Great video!!! I was already considering backing the reprint of this, as it seems like a great 1v1 (or 1v2) with my son and/or lady. That said, having the chance to play it coop occasionally is a big plus too (we love both sides), so i'm hoping that aspect gets some solid reviews. I can't wait to see what the community does with this! Also on a side note, your playthrough of *Too many Bones* was the final thing we needed to pick up the game. I had been interested for awhile, but my son and I watched it together, and he loved it. He still talks about it as one of the most entertaining playthroughs we've seen (that, and NPI playing Gloomhaven). He's told me you sold the game for him (he's 10! lol), because you made it look so exciting. Thanks for some fantastic, and entertaining videos (while also providing a great example of how the game will _feel_ ).
Wow! That’s pretty awesome to hear! Thanks for sharing that. I’m glad your son enjoyed the playthrough. I had a lot of fun with it as well. Hope to see you both around! ;D
Great review, I didn't know about this and I remember looking at the game and being dissapointed it wasn't solo/co-op, so didn't buy it. The tiles look amazing, I do like Conan and I'm hooked on Conan Exiles digital game. Thanks Adam.
Thanks, for such a detailed overview. These are a must have I'd say, as is Conan the board game. However the scale of these is far to small. But as a PDF you can print them about 30-45% larger on 11x17 cardstock so they actually match the size of the minis correctly. Also the John Carter tiles make for a great desert palace within Conan.
@@VillainCollector1 they do. Also if you buy the physical tiles Modiphius also gives you the pdf versions. Even if you buy them elsewhere (you just need to email them the receipt). So getting physical actually gives you the best of both worlds
Thank you so much for this review! I love this game, but unfortunately it has been sitting on my shelf collecting dust. I’m really excited for the solo mode in this book and to get this great game back to the table!
I’ve ordered the book & 2 tile sets since watching your video...and they should be here by Monday, super excited! I missed out but have been looking for a long time for the Nordheim expansion. Do you think they will add these older expansions to the upcoming Kickstarter campaign? Thanks, keep the great videos coming!
Rolling Solo I unfortunately did not get the king’s pledge and this do not have all of the needed minis, but I have been using it to create my own missions. It’s been a great purchase & I may be able to pick up some of the missing minis with the upcoming Conan Kickstarter (fingers crossed!). Thanks again for the video & suggestions.
Hey! Glad you like what you're seeing. Thanks for providing this detailed overview. This book took a long time and a lot of effort, but was a ton of fun. If anyone runs into questions about it, you can find me on Conan Gaming Group on Facebook (I'm the book's lead writer and admin of that group). facebook.com/groups/416593401791353/ Also, if you check out the book's entry on BGG there are a few clarifications on there. Again, much thanks and join us in our ultra-friendly yet decidedly barbaric Facebook group :)
Like you I backed the Monolith Conan KS and haven't got as much value out of it as I may have hoped so this looks an interesting option. Unfortunately the Modiphius webstore seems to be sold-out of this sourcebook, but maybe the upcoming KS will give another opportunity.
They did sell out faster than I expected them to. I sent an email to them asking when they may have restock coming. Bad timing on that but good to know it’s a popular. Ya, the PDF would work well for the Sourcebook. I’d recommend the actual tiles sets though!
Buying the PDF tiles and just printing the ones you need for the scenarios is an option. It isn't too expensive to have them professionally printed (that's what I did when I was writing the book).
Hey Piter! I don’t have them handy atm. If I have them nearby soon I’ll mention it. The creators of this should have those dimensions or better yet the FB community the game belongs to.
@@RollingSolo I was searching it, and I found the reason you did not show it: It's from another Tile pack called "Dens of Iniquity & Dangerous Streets". But it does not say nothing about it in the book! It's a shame.
I wonder if they did it knowing it or not. I have tried to buy them, but they are not available. I believe it is irresponsible to have published the book with this huge error that makes it impossible to use it 100% in its original form.
Hey Conny! It requires the Kings Pledge. So an extra box worth of content beyond the retail box. Conan is coming back to KS though so there should be another chance to grab content. This would be the third time. Hope that helps!
In fact, yes, you can play in solo/coop with the retail game :) You just need to use specific solo/coop scenarios or you can adapt existing ones :) The new rules only replace The Overlord gameplay by randomly activating a tile with numbered tokens :)
Hey David! Thanks for letting me know your interest. Certainly one I’d like to do. The recent Monolith KS has me even more intrigued about the solo play. :)
@@RollingSolo As if my inner Sheldon Cooper would ever let me get away with "Nah, I don't need EVERYTHING that comes out for a Game I own" :-) Guess I'll just use the upcoming kickstarter for that...
Hey MD! I can understand that. From my view I want it in from the get go as well. However, miniature games like Legion, Hate, Conan and Batman require a lot more then a page or two of rules to develop a solid solo mode. I’m quite happy they didn’t tack it on as many do just to say they have it covered. They really put a lot into it which is great to see!
@@RollingSolo 6 months ago I wanted this game so much, but because there was no Solo, I invested my money in other Solo game. Now I don't have the money to buy a useless boardgame + this fantastic solo add on.

My thoughts exactly! Batman must be next...I hope!
Great review - great reveal. I had no idea this even existed - thanks for posting!

Hi Rolling Solo. Great video!
As a favor, could you please tell me the exact measures of the Geomorphic Tiles?

I just bought it. And I will own them all.

Good video! but it Lacks the Tile from the scenario 4 - A Glimpse into the dark, in page 17. "Or I'm unable to find it" Do you have it?
