Thanks for the vid, downloaded the solo guide in preparation for the Kings Pledge I pledged in the latest Conan KS. Was concerned that only a portion could be soloed, with this info looks like I can play all the content solo. Now ready for when it arrives in 2021!!
I'm still very curious to see how they will "officially" do the solo/coop mode. I hope it's wonderful! But I, like you, am overjoyed that there is a way to get even more solo play for my money.

I’ve always played solo just by simply playing my best to slay the Heroes whenever it’s the Overlords turn.
It may not seem intuitive but I just play dispassionately.
Oh and I came up with a house rule for dual wielding.

@@OneStopCoopShop Thanks to you and this video I finally got over myself and had a solo playthru of Conan, playing the Wrath of Anu scenario where its just Conan in an Inn trying to remove a curse by interrogating priests before escaping. It was good fun.

Not I. I still haven't gotten a chance to play those.
I played it solo by playing the overlord to the best of my ability.
That certainly works too, since there is little to no hidden information, except for a few scenarios. Like this one would be tough unless you try to "pretend" you don't know which tent has the hostage.
@@OneStopCoopShop i just played it with a randomised hostage so I didn't know where it was it seemed to work ok.
24:35 Wouldn't that last purple Warrior use it's activation movement to get as close as possible, blocking a nearby space, in regards to the target character using his free movement points?

I think my mistake was moving the wrong pict! Purple was activating, not blue!
In regards to what the last guy would do, if he can't reach the space he is trying to get to, and he has a different icon left on the activation card, he will try for that instead. In this case, he wanted to protect Zogar, so it should have been him in that hut, not the blue guy.

When Conan attacked his first group why did you spend multiple gems for each individual attack? He has an ability where if he kills someone the excess damage poors over to everyone else, correct?
It was a misunderstanding on my part. The rules aren't very clear on what qualifies as a heavy weapon to use that ability. But you are correct, I could have :)
After watching this i read the rules and I think you may have been playing it incorrectly. You attempt the first symbol in each solo card and only proceed to the next in the row if that particular activity is unable to be completed. You were attempting to complete all actions in a row. You were making it much harder for yourself.
Also re rolls are only applicable to that particular colour, so with the Kris (for example) you cannot re roll an orange die. Also you cannot use a re roll more than once on a particular die unless you pay a gem.
Tom, can you give an example of where you think I tried to resolve multiple symbols for an enemy? I was very clear in the video that you only resolve the first icon the unit can complete, I thought.
And the same for the re-roll colors. That's a rule I was very clear on. When do you think I made a mistake with that in the video?
I think I seen some rules errors, Conan is a pretty complex game with lot of rules and playing it while showing it at the same time and using a solo pnp is quite a challenge
one rule in particular is that you forgot to use conan circullar strike skill that let him use damage he does on multiple enemies. (a 6 points roll would kill 3 picts in just one attack)
That only works, unless I am mistaken, when he is using a two-handed weapon. This scenario has him armed with a battle axe and a shield. But yes, I am well aware of Circular Strike, and use it religiously in other scenarios :)
Whoops, looks like I'm wrong. I was digging back through the rules forums, and you CAN use a 2-handed weapon and a shield. They really should have called them "heavy" weapons, but Monolith's rules are often pretty confusing in my experience.

@@OneStopCoopShop hum I own the ks version so rules may changed but I remember the battle axe being a 3 encombrance weapon and so a 2 handed one. The fact that he uses a shield for defense is separate than the attack he does in the rule and so he can carry a 2 hand weapon and a shield. ( thematically i can be explain 2 ways, he can store his shield on hia back or something ofthe sort when cutting enemies unto pieces. Or just conan is so strong the he can go berserk or claymore style and use a 2handed weapon using only 1 hand.)
About using the skill in this scenario I rememember the creator of the game using it in playthroughs long time ago when the ks was live. Again rules may have changed

"A beautiful mess" seems to match what I've seen others describe it as too. Though usually more in terms like "so dumb, I loved it". It's an unashamed B-movie of a game it seems.

Protect n empty hut..lol..the cards r a scam and have no bearing on what's happening in any game.where a real overlord would focus fire a hero...now the game is a cakewalk. I always played solo without cards
This is one of the more awkward scenarios for the AI because of that hidden information element
