Unbelievable for the NES era. What a contribution by Geoff Follin.
If it's composed by someone with 'Follin' as their last name, then it's pretty much guaranteed to be amazing.
LJN, they're known for their bad games, but are not as known for their KICKASS music!
This thing is a banger
This theme really fits Wolverine well.
Amazingly, the Follins used no samples in their NES soundtracks. It's all synthesized. They're just *that good*.
Bad ass soundtrack
I just can't believe how good this sounds.
There's a still-unreleased prototype of a Genesis game that Tim Follin scored titled "Time Trax". Search for the game's name + "Follin" on UA-cam to hear what could have been. (Hint: It's awesome. :-p)
This music is awesome
Wolverine was half-decent, with a few quirks that kept it from being great; but the music was just kind of crazy-good.
Holy shit, I thought this beat sounded familiar. This UA-cam rapper named Crucial sampled this beat in his song "For The Luv"
Man, I heard the game sucks, but the music is just awesome for some reason xD;
@codeman38
yes they are,imagen what they could have done with a sega genesis.
I have searching for this for a long time! It's my favorite soundtrack in the game.
right at 1:26 it reminds me of a similar tune in the LJN NES terminator 2 game
Same Composer.
Geoff Follin
i just exploded a nut hearing this song again....ahh the memories of plummeting to my death due to poor hit detection....must...download...emulator..now...
Coming here after watching LOGAN 2017 :D
Cool😅
I'm here from "The Moment" by Camu Tao, but reading the comments, its crazy the amount of reasons I'm seeing for people finding this one track.
If there's music for a 2nd level, I don't know it.
silver surfer playing air guitar XD
Check out Camu Tao- The moment : D
Man o man! This stuff is SIKK, keeping with the mutant theme. So good makes me wanna slap Magneto in the mouth.
The music in this stage is pretty cool! Too bad its the only thing good about this game...
This game is actually pretty good. The only problem with it is the insane difficulty.
Game's actually pretty decent with good controls,nice graphics and animations,some cool looking cutscenes,and of course,the killer OST.
The game was just insanely hard and unfair and it had some strange mechanics (if you use the claw you lose life,for example.)
agreed
this is the song that's in my head everytime i see wolverine
lol indeed.. from a kid when i played this.. this damn song..
No dislikes :)
Here you go.
Magneto, Sabertooth & Cyclops disliked this.
@@LOKBLUDOM3N
And oddly enough, it's staying like this for more than 2 years and counting.
@@jaiguru9538 that was unnecessary
Ughh memories
For being a LJN game the music in this one is awesome.
Yeah I think it's okay. :) I was definitely frustrated by it and I wouldn't really call it a "good" game, but certainly not crap like a lot of other NES games out there. Levels were varied enough (graphically, at least) to make getting to a following section seem worth it. Not hit-stun was one problem, another was how far your health could go down just by using your claws. I mean come on! Wolverine doesn't get hurt stabbing people. lol
It's sad that Tim Follin worked for LJN because his compositions where incredible only to be put on really shitty games.
They (Tim & Geoff) worked at Software Creations,LJN only published games.
Best song in the worst game ever.
This is far from the worst game ever.
Compared the first X-Men game on the NES (The Uncanny X-Men), Wolverine is the best game on the earth.
i think the music could be even sample based or something,i hear sounds where of i think are only possible with recording the stuff.
@explod2A03 I strongly believe that this is a really cool and good game, for its release time it was the big thing, including characters such as Havok, psylocke and jubilee oh my, the music and all that, when I was a kid I fantazised about having a game like this for each individual, like one called "Psylocke" o another one called Gambit, I believe is a nice decent effort and they shud reconsider rerelease it with better quality but not like the crappy one for SNES that LJN released.
Game isn't too bad. Not hitstun makes it aggravating but the otherwise decent level design makes up for it.
i have a friend that sampled this for me for this hip hop song came out pretty good
@codeman38
oh yeah i remember that.genesis was indeed a very awesome system.
most LJN published games have good music
you notice wolverines sprite looks exactly like his arcades revenge sprite on snes?
@NekroFukker Many LJN games had oddly awesome as hell soundtracks.
@ShadowKusanagiA check mine out
My favorite part of this track is the intro portion (the first 40 seconds). Best part is at 0:23 :-D
amazing nes Downtempo!
NEEDS download link... I'm just saiyan ;D
You know, if LJN is that bad, i know a good LJN game. Its a spiderman game. I belive its carnage.
Not every game LJN published was bad Nightmare on Elm Street I thought was a good game too. The problem with LJN was that they would publish ANYTHING(LJN never made these games they only published them) that was based on a movie or tv show knowing it would sell because it has the logo of a popular franchise attached to it. So they would publish it regardless of the quality of the game.
Plays it in x1.25 speed and it really sounds like a C64 tune. U can hear how They Come from the sid. Programing the hell out of That sounds chip of That nes!
Indeed. Both Tim and Geoff had C64 roots.
@mistasawedoff
break down time.. 1:19
btw anyone made a cover?
sounds like a little dubstep before there was dubstep
