Edit: Previously, I had listed the composer field as 'Follin Bros / Unknown', because I had thought there were no in-game credits and just took an educated guess. After a couple viewers mentioned that 'GEOFF' appeared in the High Score, I again thought it odd there were seemingly no credits at the end of the game or title menu so decided to double check--
It turns out, if you wait a little over 2 minutes after loading the game, a credits screen will indeed pop up.

So there we have it! Thanks for the comments / private messages that made me look into this further, as I try to be as accurate as I can here.
explod2a03 here on my current/ main channel. I just learned that Geoff Follin recently passed away. RIP.
*NO WAY!*
(looks real)
i just came here after learning this too, man. rip a legend 💔and F*** cancer
Fuck cancer, rest easy Geoff.
"What? Are you fucking kidding me? Both of them? They made both of them?"
AVGN - 2009
+Mariano Olacireghi :3 Hi!
Avgn is hate LJN, but i dont
@@TheBrusterwhat
Rest in peace Geoff.
Such a shame the Follin Bros did music for companies like LJN instead of someone like Capcom or Nintendo, what a waste of their awesome talent.
Yep, such a shame such amazing music is the soundtrack to some of the most mediocre games on the NES.
Tim actually did a lot of soundtracks for Capcom in the comodore era
Yellowblanka mediocre? Really? This is one of my fav games on NES. And the music is kick ass😍
Can you imagine him on Marvel Vs Capcom in 1999? 😍
@@rubinraj3365 Just cause it's terrible, doesn't mean you can't enjoy it.
Rest in peace Geoff Follin. 1966 - 5/30/2024
Hard to believe that this track is from a real NES game! Very well done devs, this is super impressive
Rest in peace Geoff Follin
Whats funny is that when I was watching the AVGN review of the X-men game when he got to the part where he transitioned to this game this song started playing. After that I wasn't even paying attention to the review. I was just listening to this song play in the background.
I love this track but it pains me to say this was by far the best track.
Nostalgia 😁
Because the Follin brothers, Tim in particular composed them. He also did Sky Shark, Solstice, Terminator 2, Silver Surfer etc. Mostly bad games but their music is awesome. You can tell he's English because it's a very C64 like sound :D
Ninjamohawk his brother, Geoff composed this game.
Solstice is definitely a good game though.
Also, Silver Surfer was Tim AND Geoff. People don't give Geoff enough credit.

Geoff did some incredible gems, like the OSTs from The Incredible Crash Dummies, Wolverine, and the unreleased Thomas the Tank Engine for the NES. He would commonly work alongside his brother btw, such in Plok and Silver Surfer.
This theme alone makes me glad this game exists.
This game doesn't have a lot of music, but what music it does have rocks!
The LJN Defender!!!
XD That is why I came here
+Shinkei DEI Same
That makes four of us
FIVE
Six.
a god was lain to rest. rip geoff, f*** cancer.
RIP Follin...
You know Follin's stuff instantly. Even on the NES, it sounds typically C64/ZX Spectrum-like.
LJN Made some pretty... Um.. "Not so Decent" games.
But shit, the music they created was pretty damn awesome.
Bluelight Spike The Folin Bros. are responsible for the music. I would never give LJN such credit, nor should anyone!
***** Yeah, I thought I misspelled that.
+Bluelight Spike Thanks To The Follen Men. :3 Tim Follen, And This Game's Music Director.... I Donno His Name.
+Bluelight Spike Yeah. He Is Geoff Follin.
Software Creations. LJN only PUBLISHED.
some parts sounds like the Wolverine's Theme from MvC
I wonder if they did that in MvC intentionally.
its really sad how geoff follin's soundtracks are either attributed to tim, or more generically "the follins." its not that hard to actually recognize geoff lol
Rest in peace Geoff Follin :(
RIP Geoff Follin
My childhood memories from 2010 playing this game on an 6 in 1 cartridge with the title as x men 2, my favourite nes game along with TMNT tournament fighters back then
Horrible game. Excellent music. I never could beat Sabretooth. I remember Jubilee, Psylocke, Havok and Magneto made special appearances in this game
When I initially played this as a kid I spent hours trading blows with Sabretooth wondering what it was supposed to take to beat him until I started pushing him back and noticed the cliff at the end. Very unique boss battle 😎
RIP Geoff, and fuck cancer!
Well now, that's a little harsh. Megaman's music is awesome in its own right. Also, Megaman the game itself is better in every way.
RIP Geoff. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
such an amazing game, love this theme brings back a lot of good memories, thanks
This game had such a simple soundtrack, but it was a great game.
This was a decent game and good graphics for the NES. Played this a lot and beat it many times.
The Follin brothers are revered at least. Any video game musician of that time knew them as pioneers
I wish they'd sneak this tune into a Wolverine movie, like an orchestral arrangement.
What are you f***ing kidding me?!?!
I'm such a nerd, and I'm fucking proud of it. I just heard this music in AVGN's "review", and I could tell this music was made by a Follin.
This song needs to be remastered like a rock verison or a tencho remix
F geoff follin, rest in piece dude
@thevisualboy37 Thanks...pal? I actually enjoy watching AVGN for it's comedic factor, and usually it's funny because he is right, but even he admits that some games he reviews and bashes he still enjoys, like the castlevania series. Point is that it's the first Wolverine game ever made, and a HUGE upgrade from their X-Men game...now that was a horrible mess.
Somehow i knew it was one of the follin brothers, just has that distinctive sound that's also heard in silver surfer. Awesome!
Who tf was in the cooking
That rainbow logo still haunts me to this day...
Fuckin intense theme.
Tim Folin fuck yeah!
Coincidentally, someone made a badass cover of this theme called Adamantium Attack. Look it up.
Shit's on fire. I don't need drugs to get high, I just listen to this and I'm rocketing through cosmos at the speed of light wearing my bioluminescent spandex on my trusty rainbow-oscillating unicorn whilst creating black holes through the gravitational pull my summersaults are creating. That's how space works, right?
Apropo nothing: the highest pitch sounds the NES could muster start to sound A LOT like the, for me, equally adored SID chip on the C64. Similar architecture?
Peace out, and if you ever need a buddy to travel through space, give me a holla. I can give you a ride you'll never forget. Over and out.
Megaman is good but this is better than any other Megman theme I've ever heard. Apart from Dr. Wily's theme. LJN shouldn't have made this game.
So badass!!! This should be like the anthem for underrated games all over the world.
I freaking LOVE Solstice's music.
@Andre40298
They didn't make it, they published it. Blame Software Creations, also responsible for Silver Surfer.
whats funny is that tim follin made amazing music for crappy games.
ahhh shit thats my theme!!!
FUCKING EPIC THEME...... NO MATTERS,.... IS FUCKING WOLVERINE
@TotalVelocity Sadly the game is awfull. But ye the songs are amazing.
This is why better than the current crap that passes as today's music.
@JokinJoe Fuck megaman music? chill bro, Darkman Stage > this
Back in high school, I blasted this over the auditorium speakers to test them for my theater troupe. No joke.
That Follin blood!!!
In the AVGN video I noticed that he just sat there and sort of let this theme play it was so badass.
Love This Music!!! :D
Ha, i actually defeated Sabretooth and i'm happy with it)))
Cause the Follin's did 'em both.
This song is actually better than i remembered it. I used to play this game with my mom when i was a little ass kid.
Someone seriously needs to do a guitar version of this song. Or a full Metal track.
0:50 Holy fuck those arps!
Extreme Parodies Presents....
Good stuff, but LJN sucks.
wow
LJN? Oh crap! Man the cannons!
Finally I got it...
who can whitle this song?
lol: ljn
first 10 seconds of this are epic as hell!
God this song is so freaking extreme. It RULES.
partiture please
partiture please
LJN
to think this is from Ljn. good job =]
Does this game have Shuma-Gorath?
LJN had the music guru's but due to LJN releasing crappy games by the mainstream standards they went unnoticed by all but the hardcore gamers. I played this game I loved it.
@kingboobs20 And many of the LJN games are licensed, so it winds up being the two companies working together. As Ironman says when he gets KO'd in MVC 3: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
@kingboobs20
Right on. Solstice is awesome. :)
Solstice is kinda wierd I found. I never got too far cause I was only testing around with it but that tiny screen thing looks wierd & they just kinda throw you in. No explinations given. However it does sport a very unique soundtrack. Ambiant & mood setting music on an NES isn't very common.
@TheNewbGuy a running theme with ljn games. Look at silver surfer and xmen
Yes, this song is amazing.
Also, please check "Overlord" NES game main theme by Jeroen Tel...it will blow your mind:
Yes, this song is amazing.
Also, please check "Overlord" NES game main theme by Jeroen Tel...look for it here...
Has got to be one of the best NES game songs. Seriously pulls me back to my onesie pajama days when I'd be camped in front of the tv with a bowl of Captain Crunch or other misc cereal. Darned good theme for an NES game.
that's one thing about ljn involved things, the game may suck, but the music is alright.
RIP CAMU TAO.
someone needs to make a keygen using a remix of this music
(chiptuned)
re esquizofrenica la musiquita!!!! jajajjajaj quiero saltar por toda mi casa y romper todo!!!
this theme needs to be in the next movie!
Why did this ljn game have such great music?
most fvckin epic music ever made on any game EVAR
Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many. And many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'There he is!' do not believe it. For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect--if that were possible. See, I have told you ahead of time. "So if anyone tells you, 'There he is, out in the desert,' do not go out; or, 'Here he is, in the inner rooms,' do not believe it. For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. (Matthew 24:4-5; 11; 23-27)
JASON MCKENZIE gtfo
How is it that the first 6 seconds are so awesome!!!! That Bassline and Those Toms are Too Radical!!!!!!!!!
This theme it's actually great !
Too bad it's attached to such a mediocre game so undeserving of such awesomeness.
Mi infancia :,D
For some funny reason, I think of Zorro when I hear this theme.
The Follin's are gods.
They had to have at least something that explained the rainbow
classic favorite game:)
@RobinMKII You don't know the devs by now?
this game is freakin hard, but i like that game anyway.
Para ser un juego de LJN esta bueno la canción
